Horrible movers
When Antonio loaded the truck, I told him that the items were not packed tightly. He told me that he would pack the items better once everything was on the truck. This did not occur. However, once the truck was packed, Antonio spent another hour on the phone with Tremayne. They told me there would be an additional cost to cover the items on the truck and that it was quoted to be 750 cubic feet. I did not have a problem paying for the extra things that were placed on the truck, but the estimate was incorrect. Items were packed loosely and they were not stacked. I had to take pictures of the packed truck and send them to Tremayne via Antonio's telephone. When we calculated the actual square footage, it was approximately 600 cubic feet. With all of the problems we encountered, I told them that I expected a reduction in price. They took $125 off of the price for my brother assisting, but refused to take anything additional from the final bill. Antonio was promised assistance once the truck arrived in Smyrna. I was completely surprised when the same two movers came to the house in Smyrna, TN. When they opened the truck door, Antonio confessed that my headboard was broken. This was the straw that broke the camel's back, as the nightmare continued. The bedroom set was purchased in Italy in 2014. I paid to have it shipped to the United States. After the bedroom furniture was placed into the house, they attempted to bring my leather sofa in. My sofa was stuck in the doorway for 40 minutes. Antonio's helper could not lift the other end. My mother and I helped him try to get the sofa through the door as they had it wedged inside. The leather sofa was already determined to be damaged and the door frame was also damaged. It was scratched, splintered and had paint chips missing. Once the sofa was brought into the house, I noticed "fraying" and small pin holes in the front, along with black scrape lines and fraying on the back of the sofa. Next, they attempted to bring the dresser into the house. Antonio had no help again, so he went behind my house and found a construction worker. This worker helped him bring the dresser and armoire into the house. Prior to them bringing the dresser in, they chipped the bottom piece of the back right corner. The marble dining room table was next. They chipped a piece of the bottom of the table and ripped the corner of one of the dining room seats of the chair. When the truck was unloaded, we called Antonio's boss, Tremayne. He was advised of all damages. They told me that Antonio needed to take the headboard, so that they can determine valuation. I was also advised that the "big boss" John Davis would call tomorrow or Monday. To date, I made 6 calls to the office, Mike Anderson and their office. No one has returned any call and I am very disappointed. .
