NOT INTERSTATE LICENSED!

Avoid this moving company at all costs! I will start by saying that this moving company is not licensed to move your and its belongings across state lines. We learned the hard way. When our belongings finally showed up, not only did a couple of our items end up missing, including our brand new 55-inch Samsung LED smart TV, but several pieces of our furniture experienced water damage. We paid almost $400 for an extra $25,000 insurance. When we filed a claim, he responded twice to our email and then went completely dark on us. He also stopped taking our house. Biggest fraud that I've ever run across.

Not too good

The driver left Austin the same time we did. They got there much later than we did. They didn't finish until 10pm. They could not cash a cashier check for some reason. And then they said it was lost. The bank would not honor it. SO I had to go to the bank and straighten it out. I don't think doing business with them was good.

It was a good experience overall.

The experience was good except for one of my dining table legs was broken while moving. but they took the dining table back and fixed it and sent me back in maybe 1 1/2 weeks. other than that everything was good.

Bad Moving Company

This moving company was unprofessional, did not show up on time, and did not reassemble my bed frame correctly. Their owner Matt, paid me a refund check and bounced into a bad check, then made my banking account go into the negatives. Word of advice, stay away from this company, and research the movers and the moving equipment that the company uses. TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!

Living Social Rip Off

These guys are in it to make $$$ off of you. Poor communication. Bad BBB rating. Move along to someone else.

Dishonest, Unprofessional, Rude, ...

This is THE FIRST time that I have ever written a review, but this experience was just too much to take quietly! We booked our move 3 weeks in advance and did not utilize any type of coupon. We were quoted $99/hr for 3 movers. They got to the house at 6pm (3hrs late). Upon their arrival there were only 2 movers. We had to wait approx 45 minutes for Matt, the owner to show up with the 3rd person. We were then told that there was a four hour minimum. Matt walked in, talked to his men briefly and then left. No apology for the hold up or niceties. On that day it rained non stop. Their truck (Or should I say make shift, unmarked, horse trailer… I am NOT kidding. I was embarrassed for the neighbors to see it!) was too small to hold our belongings, so we had to make two trips. (Later on the workers stated that their boss deliberately sends a small vehicle so they have to make multiple runs, thereby jacking up the price.) These men were not exactly in a hurry either. They were taking their time, which included smoking breaks! The lights inside the trailer were broken so I had to leave my car running for approximately 3-4 hours that night in order to provide lighting for loading and unloading. After the first trip, the truck broke down (At approx. 10:30 pm). Since the truck had 2 batteries, we had to use both of our cars simultaneously to get that monster started. I called the owner, Matt while the men were loading the 2nd trip and I was blown away by how unprofessional, blasé, rude and nonchalant he was about the situation! He told me “This is your fault! If you have that big of a house, you should not schedule to move at 3pm"… "I did not ask you to use your car to provide light for my staff" ... "I did not ask you to help them to carry stuff" .... "I did not ask you to jump start the truck"..... "You should know better than to move at night!” I was also told something to the effect of "Other people charge much more than I do. What do you want for $99/hr?" What a horrible thing to say about one's own company! I reminded him that THEY were 3 hrs late and he just dismissed my comment. I also told him that he was the supposed moving “professional” and should have come out ahead of time to assess what needed to be moved so that the appropriate equipment could be provided. I also pointed out that he should have refused to move us at 3pm if he knew it was ill-advised. Additionally, his equipment should be in proper working order. I was told that I had signed a contract and was bound by it. I rebutted by pointing out that the tardiness of his employees and the failure of his equipment voided that contract. He then hung up the phone and called his workers telling them not to take the 2nd load off of the truck until I paid the bill in full. If I refused, then they were to leave with my possessions! They did a good job

It was very good. They did a good job...they were very personable and worked very quickly.

If you don't care about your furniture ...

I don't think the men were professionals or had much experience. I was told everything would be wrapped and protected in the move; not true. My daughters new bedroom set was damaged and not assembled properly so when she sat on down it fell apart putting her onto the floor. I spoke with the manager Matt & sent him photos; he answered and said he would send me $90 for the damages. I've been waiting over a month now no money and no replies. The moving distance was only 10 miles from a single story house to another but the way my things were handled was that they just wanted to dump it off and leave. I'm only writing this in hopes of saving you the aggravation from my experience but it's your choice.

It was great ... [They were] a little late because they had other commitments ... But they did was good ... The move was seamless. I didn't have many problems.

bad service

I hired 3 men , three showed up 1/2 way in loading one said was not filling well, he called owner Matt. Took several hours to load. Dropped some things at loading.We they came to Houston we only had 2 men, this slowed down the unload. When the truck arrived and they opened door you could see several items where broken.They started to unload.at 4.00 finally around 8.00 I just told them to unload boxes on bottom floor due to moving slow .They got done around 10.00pm. I showed the movers the broken items and told them to call owner. They said I would have to pay and claim items with matt in morning. I did the next morning and sent claim to them.I spoke with stephane about claim They said check was mailed. After calling several times and 3 month later they sent a check .The claim was for 520.00 , they sent 85.00 the owner said that all the item where not broken by his men. Worse movers ever. Called the BBB On them. to maybe resolve

Plain Awful

I am not sure how my original estimate went from $1,249 to $2,600. We had half of the house prepared the day of the move and they were nice enough to fit us in for the next day to pack the remainder of our items (Note: Half of the house one day and half of the house the next day, same stuff as with their estimate so how does the price double). The lady that did the estimate was obviously clueless on estimating and I would love to give a good reason as to why the price double but they had more excuses than I could listen too.

Horrible and Deceptive

I scheduled an appointment for 1 PM. By 2, I still hadn't heard anything, despite leaving two messages asking them to return my calls. I finally receive a call around 3 saying they would be there shortly. They arrived at 5:45. I'm ok with needing to be flexible, but the lack of information followed by misinformation was not ok. When the two guys arrived, Austin and Trey, they were nice and helpful. Austin went over the paper work and informed me of a $50 extra truck use fee that was "in the fine print" of the living social deal I was using. It is certainly not in the fine print. Here is the fine print: Limit 1 per customer, up to 1 additional as a gift Limit 1 redemption per household Appointments required and subject to availability Merchant cancellation/re-scheduling policy of 24 hours applies; voucher subject to forfeiture Distance restrictions apply; service area includes 25-mile radius of 78701; additional fees may apply for redemption beyond the service area Valid for labor only; additional fees apply for packing supplies, boxes, and cleaning For inquiries call 512-458-6683 All services must be redeemed during a single visit by same household Austin and Trey tried to point to the "valid for labor only" language. However, because the only additional fees explicitly listed are for "packing supplies, boxes, and cleaning," the fine print, to me, clearly does not include a fee for truck use. Austin and Trey said this was a common compliant. They called their boss, Matt, and asked to have the fee waived, which I asked for especially in light of the fact that they showed up over four and a half hours late. He refused. Austin offered to have me talk to Matt, so I did. He was the most unpleasant and least courteous person I have encountered in the services industry. He told me he was leaving his house to get to a softball game, so clearly I deserved only cursory attention. He said he didn't have the living social deal in front of him, but he insisted that the fee was in there. I did have the language in front of me, so I read it to him. After about a 20 second pause, he flat out said to pay the fee or get lost. I talked to Austin and Trey, and agreed to pay the extra fee despite the shady nature of KAM. After all, I had already dedicated an entire day to waiting for them. However, apparently Matt talked to Austin on the phone after I talked to Matt and told Austin and Trey to just drive away. Great Job

These guys did a great job. They showed up on time and took care of my furniture. Thank you again Keep Austin Moving

Unreliable - stay away!!

I had a move scheduled with these guys on Jan 7 and they no-showed. Didn't call afterwards to apologize or anything. Fortunately I was able to find someone on short notice who did the job later in the day, but it cost me an extra day of rent.
