Took twice as long, damage on my ...

My furniture was damaged and it cost twice as much as what I was expecting and took twice as long. I told them I had three beds and they got there and said "oh this is not three beds, this is the box spring, the mattress and the frame so that's THREE items versus 1 bed" so they charged me per item. I will never use this company or promote them. Don't use them, check out Two Men and a Truck. Read more

Everything arrived on time and it was ...

I would say that the first experience where i was getting the estimate was really great it was very prompt and I got everything I needed in time and my questions were answered. Then the moving guys who came to pack everything was really great. They helped with moving things and packed everything that was needed. The one thing I had for feedback I wasnt really communicated that it was be by cubic feet in the truck and that was really confusing because we went by medium sized boxes and I was under the impression it was all done by weight. So if you could for future customers specify that it would be great. Other than that everything arrived on time and it was great. Read more

My problem was with the president

The guys who actually did the loading, there was one who was kind of lazy but other than that the the guys who did the loading were really good. My problem was with the president of the company, who has extremely poor communication. He served as our dispatcher, and there was a problem with our payment, he over charged me and it took me over a month to get it back. Read more

Unethical stuff takes place

It was an interesting process -- that I'll probably explore other moving companies before I default to them again. The movers themselves were very professional and very helpful, but they shared with me some very negative information about the owner and the business practices of the owner. Just unethical stuff that takes place so I don't want to be wrapped up in that as a customer. Read more

Terrible

They gave me a low figure to move on the phone. I told them everything we had. When they came they changed it from $600 to $3000. And we didn't have time to change because we had to be out the next day. It was just ridiculous. Read more

WORST EVER

WORST MOVERS EVER!! AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! This “company” turned what should have been an exciting time into a nightmare that won’t end. They show up for pick-up with little notice, refuse to accept our method of payment (even though our contract says otherwise), then stop working and corner my wife in a room until she talks to their dispatcher and gives her credit card. Show up with NO notice, many items damaged and clearly not taken care of. Also apparent they went through multiple boxes, and even stole some of our personal property. Wouldn’t bring boxes inside, saying they don’t have to. The worst part of this: WE DIDN’T EVEN HIRE MASTER MOVERS!!! Not in a million years would I have hired this company. My attorney sends a letter demanding payment for over $1,000 in damages and stolen items. They refuse, saying we got a refund from our original company, which counts as covering damages. No, that money was them giving back our deposit for screwing us over for giving us to your terrible company. And Ben Moshe, don’t bother with your format response; it’s sad. How about you and your company take responsibility for all the damages and stolen items? And I would LOVE to see your statistics to back up a 98% customer satisfaction rating. Given the large amount of negative comments about your company, and the fact that your company was kicked out of the Better Business Bureau for poor business practices, I find it EXTREMELY difficult to believe such a claim. Just be a responsible business owner and take responsibility for your company’s actions. Read more

Scamers

They tried to make me pay when they showed up 6 hours late but I refused they made me sign all kinds of pages I didn't know what it was for. then they took their own sweet time loading banging into walls and doors. They had no idea how to move furniture. Waited 10 minutes plus each time they moved a piece. Didn't have tools to unhook washer so they went to Walmart to purchase tool. Took over 45 min. to do that. Then when they got to new apartment they refused to unload until I paid them. I gave them $300.00 cash (they would only except cash) did not get a receipt I told them I was going to call 911 they started unloading at that time. I am a 71 year old lady with a handicapped son and it was just the two of us until my older son arrived he told them to stop bullying me and to get the truck unloaded or he was calling 911 they refused we called 911 and they took off with 2 TV's and my bed. what a nightmare. I went to small claim court to file a lawsuit and there address is not a legal address. I now have one of the tv stations help line working on it. Read more

She was cool and she took my order and took the description of what I needed, but then when the guys got there I had to fill out all this paperwork and every single item that I had [discussed on the phone] ... I was not happy, I wouldn't recommend ...

The problem starts at the very beginning. I had an estimate and by the time the movers had my items on the truck,it was another $1000 and then they took it to the warehouse and it was another $1000, so it was double. The communication was terrible... They demanded money before they would even bring my stuff to Florida. No trust, no competency and when they did move things there was damage, missing items. I was not happy, I would not recommend them to anybody. Read more

Avoid master Movers!

Please whatever you do avoid using master movers they are a dishonest company who cares nothing about their customers only getting their money. They moved us 15 miles down the road because my husband is a disabled veteran and we were unable to move the furniture ourselves. They tore up several pieces of our furniture many pieces that had belonged to my husbands grandmother who had recently passed away. They damaged the furniture by dragging it across the ground therefore breaking off the legs or foot pieces. They also damaged my new house by putting a whole in my bedroom wall and gouging my wooden floors from dragging and dropping the furniture. When I made my initial deposit they put the money on someone else's account, they also wrote down the wrong address so they never showed up for the preinspection. I told them I needed a tractor trailer size truck and instead showed up with a 26 foot truck which resulted in us being charged more for a second trip in which they still had not gotten all of our stuff. This company has an extensive history of not paying any claims that are submitted for damaging people's property. Their excuse to us was because we opted not to have our furniture wrapped they are not responsible for damages. I'm sorry but wrapping protects against scratches and dings not from movers mishandling your furniture. Please do your research and read other reviews out there about them you will see they are not a good company. I have dealt with many moving companies and this one is the worst!!!! Now I will have to file a lawsuit against them in order to get reimbursed for my damages which after talking to many past clients we are now looking at doing a class action suit against them. They held my furniture hostage until I ...

What they should have done was told me all fees up front instead of waiting until all of my stuff is moved and then spring this big amount on me. That's what I didn't like about it. And then held the last piece of furniture in their vehicle locked up until I gave them the money. Read more

They just did a bad job.

They were late. They took two days to deliver my mom's stuff. It was supposed to be a one day move. They didn't leave the house until around midnight. They didn't have any tools to dismantle even thought that was part of what they were supposed to bring..they put a hole in the wall. They charged extra, more than what was quoted. They were good but there was confusion ...

It was great, they contacted me right away ... They were extremely professional and I liked the pricing of everything ... The only hiccup came the day of the move ... I thought my moving time would be between one and seven ... Turns out they meant they wouldn't show up until between 1:00 and 7:00. ...They finally showed up at like 6:00. So there was just a lot of confusion about what the time actually was that they were going to show up. Read more

It wasn't my best experience.

It was not a good experience. I had to rent a truck the next day to move the rest of my stuff. One of the things I was really specific about was that they take my bed apart and put it back together and they did not do that. I've moved many times and never been asked to take things out of the drawers of the dressers and they asked me to do that. It just wasn't my best experience. Read more

The gentlemen that moved me were on ...

They were supposed to come the day before, they didn't show up. So I had to pay additional rent for the following day for them to come. They showed up at 9:15, they were supposed to come at 9:00....because they quoted me $100 per hour, $95 an hour, they were in dispute with me about how long it was gonna take because it was on the third floor...the gentlemen that moved me, were on their cellphones, taking personal phone calls and taking breaks. I've had a horrible time.

The day before our move, someone was supposed to call me and tell me what time the movers were coming, and they just called very, very late. The day of the move I could not get a hold of ANYONE to tell me when they were coming and they came at 6:30 when I had to be out of my house at 5:00. And they were only for about two and a half hours and they cut my service off, so I've had a horrible time. Read more

damaged furniture

I hired this moving company (Master Movers in Indianapolis IN) because they offered free furniture protection. My appointment was scheduled for 4pm. The movers showed up at 10:30pm on a 19 degree night in February. They had me sign a stack of papers before they would start moving my stuff. They had been moving furniture since 8am that day and were tired and rushing to move my stuff. I did not see them use any kind of furniture protection, yet they charged me for rolls of tape. The move ended at 1am with my furniture moved into a storage unit to stage my house for sale. I went to the storage unit the next day to check my furniture, and there were scratches and huge gouges in several of my nice big furniture pieces. I immediately called to report the damage and sent pictures. I got the runaround for months and eventually they sent me furniture colored pens in the mail and told me that was all they were willing to do. Read more

Office staff turned me off to that ...

The guys came, they were perfect moving everything. Getting everything packed up. I was quoted one price, once the job was finished, and I got my card to pay for it. ... came back on the phone, processed my payment, gave me a confirmation number, asked for my card again because he said it didn't go through. ... Later on that afternoon there was second charge. The second charge was much higher. I'm assuming he still had my card or did whatever to get my card number... it caused my account to be overdrawn. ... I will never use them again. The guys were great.I gave them a nice tip, but the office staff and dispatch... completely turned me off to that company. I will not recommend them to anyone else. Read more
