Worst moving company ever - avoid at ...

I would give them 0 stars if I could. Romeo responded first to a request for quotes I submitted online and promised the lowest price out of any company I spoke to. However, the morning of the move, only two men showed up (late) instead of the three he promised and the truck was not nearly big enough, despite going over in detail with him what I needed. We re-negotiated a slightly higher flat rate for the full day so they could make two trips instead of one from Pompano to Fort Lauderdale. When we arrived at the destination, the movers then claimed they were not aware there were stairs even though I had disclosed that to Romeo and insisted they would need to charge more. When we arrived at the destination after the second trip, the movers refused to remove my belongings from the truck and said they needed to be paid more because of how long it was taking, despite the flat rate we had negotiated. After many calls to Romeo, who was insulting and claimed there was nothing he or his boss could do, my items were finally unloaded around 9 p.m. that night, however nearly every piece of furniture I own was significantly damaged in the process.

HORRIBLE MOVERS

Save yourself money and aggravation. If u rent a truck and do the move yourself you will b ahead of the game. These people are dishonest and disrespectful. They don't care about your items, just want money. Everything they handled was damaged, plus we didn't receive many items including a 47" television!!! Moved in May and still don't have our missing items and probably never will as the claim company they use dropped them. Hmmmm, wonder why. They should have their license revoked.

They didn't show up.

They were supposed to come get us on Saturday at 6 p.m. They called us at 8 p.m. and said they were gonna be there on Sunday morning. They didn't show up Sunday morning. We went all the way to Sunday evening and I kept calling--the guy said he was right around the corner, then one guy said he should have been there--it was just terrible. By the time they got there, I think we ended up leaving maybe 8 o'clock Sunday night. We had rented a hotel room for Saturday night, which we didn't really need because we could have stayed in the house that night prior, so we spend money on a hotel room that was unnecessary. It was really, really bad.

When they came to pack out on the 5th of May the two gentlemen did a great job. They told me that the items were going to be transported to a terminal ... I asked for delivery on 10 May but the delivery did not occur until 15 May. ...The two gentleman that delivered did a good job as far as unloading and bringing in the items that I requested. We went through the checklists and for some reason they inadvertently forgot a box spring ... They called down to the terminal in Georgia and sure enough it was there. They said they would work on getting it delivered as soon as possible. I've been in contact with the relocation specialist from that company about every three to four days. It's been three weeks.

First, they don't listen to you when you tell their person that quotes how much it will be for the move of everything you want to be moved. You call them back to go over the list of items and then they say they have it. Driver shows up late and never has a correct list of what you told the person you told about what you had to be moved. Second, they don't show up on time and when they do they do not have a "Moving Forward" truck, it's a Penske truck that is rented because it's is not really a moving company, it's a freight company working under the same name as several other businesses in Florida. Third, they destroy your belongings and crush your boxes that you have just purchased and packed during the move. By the way, your belongings don't show up for a 150 mile move or over 4 days. I could of walked my belongings down to my new home. Fourth, the driver has no authority to tell you when your items will be delivered. Well, that is what a moving company does. Fifth, If you argue with they make your life He..... and won't deliver your belongings until they see fit of when you should have them. Not, "oh, it's only a 150 mile move, we will do it in 1 day, the day".........ROFLMAO another lie. Sixth......oh you get my point........no need to go further since I can in more than 5,000 dollars in damaged furniture and new freezer, washer and dryer that now do not work because they destroyed them. You get my drift..............DO NOT USE "MOVING FORWARD" as your mover. Go with a good reputable company.

I would not recommend them.

During the pickup, it took them seven hours to load the truck, and that's just ridiculous. And then at delivery, because I had complained about the way the first day went - it was delivered two days later - the delivery guy, which was one of the same people that I had complained about, just had attitude and I found a lot of scratches and things like that on my furniture. So, I just would never use them again and would not recommend them.

The guys were pretty quick. They were great. Minimal damages. They set up everything where I wanted it to go. It was pretty good overall. I would give them a 5 out of 5 if I was rating them.

Damage, not enough people and the ...

I've got damage. I have pictures. I have things that were crushed. They had all my information in terms of what they were moving, they didn't bring enough movers they didn't bring enough people. I've done three professional moves so when he showed up with two men and a truck that was too small, it was down from there. At that point if you have any experience in moving he could have looked at my house and realized that truck wasn't going to work. But he swore up and down he could do it.... Most movers start at 8 in the morning and go until about 5. These guys rolled in at 2 - 3:00 and were at my house until 11 at night which I think is totally inappropriate.

It was a move. It wasn't bad bad, but ...

Well, the only thing that they didn't do was... the day they picked it up, they were supposed to be there between... 1:00 and 4:00 in the afternoon... they didn't come up til midnight. The only discrepancy we had was what I put down on the inventory and his inventory didn't match mine so we had to leave a lot of stuff behind because they kept charging me... They quoted us $1400, we ended up paying almost $1,700. Make sure the inventory list matches before they start loading the truck because once he started loading the truck, then they started telling me what they weren't going to take... It was a move. It wasn't great. I mean, it wasn't real bad bad, but it wasn't great.

All in all it was a pretty good ...

It was a - the actual move itself was actually pretty good. The guys, you know, they got there on the date that they said they were gonna get there. Dealing with the - the actual main office, that was pretty good. It was just, you know, it got a little nerve-wracking deal with some of the folks at the main office. But as far as the moving guys themselves, they were pretty good. The pickup guys were really really good. The delivery, he was - he was good, it was just one guy though. You know, it was kinda chilly, so you know, I pitched in ... But all in all it was - it was pretty good.

Satisfied

It was a great move the mover help me out from the packing with professional service .. They came an hour late to my delivery but work in the cold and made sureto make up for it .. Had a little damage the office was reasonable compare to claims. And insurance . at the end of the their awesome team.

Movers were fine, company was not.

I thought it all worked pretty well, except the guy who gave me my first estimate, he clearly low-balled the estimate so that when they got there it was over double what he quoted me at. That would be my only thing. The guy played a low-ball game so he would get the business. But the movers were super professional, got here on point, dropped it all off, put it all together, they did a really good job. Not the company so much.

Awesome Packing

I was very intimitaded due to numerous movers and brokers calling. I got in comtact with moving forward from a friend bthat recently moved and had and ok experience. The guys came and did an awesome job wich I was shock due to the time it took them to move my3 bed home. But cant complaint.

other reviews are fake!

They broke MOST of our things, lost a bunch and worst is everything was infested with roaches.... that's right, babies and adults. It took us 2 weeks to tame them in out house and costs hundreds of dollars. These other reviews are 100% fake. We also have photo albums from some other family!!!!!!!!!! We will be going to court.

I had a pretty okay move, even though the guys were extremely late, they gave me a discount, even though it wasn't much. They work pretty fast and professional and i would recommend them to anyone.
