Horrible, horrible, horrible

Horrible horrible horrible, they have lost so much of our stuff. They have damaged our whole bedroom furniture. Everything is broken, dining table is broken, the headboard is broken. We were lied to over and over and over.

We were lied to over and over and over again about our moving of the contents that we contracted with the company to do. They were arrogant, they lied to us. They basically did not do what they said they were going to do and I have been asking for a receipt for over a week which i did not even get for my initial down payment. They told me it's going to be sent. They just lie to your face, they lie to your face and I can tell you, I'm glad you called, I will never for as long as I live and have breath in my body ever use the company again. I am just dreadfully sorry that I ever ever took the referral to use the company for my company because the employee was basically aggravated to no avail and I was doing everything as a business owner to make an impression on them and bring them from their state to our state and it did not look favorable at all because I trusted this company with an employee that I recruited personally myself, I'm the present owner of the business. This was a horrible experience. this particular employee has a young baby and they had no where when the baby came from the grandparent's house to sleep, they were in the house for over 2 weeks without any furniture. They had to be inconvenienced and buy some additional pieces to have a place to sit and lay on so no I never want to use National Movers again. I've been asking them since last week to give me receipt for my accountant's books and I cannot even get that. How simple it is when you had paid somebody in full where you got horrible service and you as a customer request a receipt and can't even get one? How pathetic is that sir? Read more

Very nice, made the move very easy.

I mean I thought they were great. The guy I spoke to over the phone was really friendly, made it really easy. He sent me all the paperwork I needed to sign. They really made it pretty easy. I didn't stress too much. I was able to tell him what I was bringing over the phone. And he was able to give me a pretty quick quote. It wasn't completely accurate, part of that was my fault. I didn't fully know until even that week everything that I was going to end up bringing. But it was close enough and the gentleman who came to pick up my stuff was super nice. I was kinda worried it wasn't going to get there in time but her literally made it in like 3 days. He did a really good job. Read more

When I called National, my salesperson shared a story about her recent move, which made me change my mind. It was very bad - extra charges and ...

It was very bad. The person brought me the furniture was excellent, but they charged me a lot of money. When I chose the company the woman said "everything was OK, this is the arranged price." Then they picked up the furniture and it was late - around 7 or 8 p.m. - and they told my wife that she had to pay more, but she agreed because we were moving and didn't have a choice. We had some damage, and the way that the moving company's pricing was set up--I was a little unhappy that it wasn't clear up front. I found out very late in the game that the costs grew--actually my move doubled in cost because of costs that I wasn't told up front. Read more

Great service and free wrap

Very reasonable estimate compared to other companies. I didn't have much packing material apart from boxes from a storage place so they wrapped my mirror and TV for free. I thought that was pretty neat. Read more

Overall, I'm not satisfied.

I was originally quoted a certain rate and then when they got there, they beefed it up another $500. So I was not pleased with that. I had no additional items other than what I originally inventoried so there shouldn't have been extra charges. I had to leave items behind because they kept bumping it up for each panel. ... Am I overall satisfied for the price - no. Knowing that my items are missing and I had to find my chair in a different section of the truck. These are the only obvious things that I know are gone, I don't even know if there are more items because they're in storage. So when you factor in that I paid over $3,000 to move my things. When they came in to my house they actually ... Sat down with me and said ... "You were quoted for 808 cubic feet. We have a truck here that is 2500. Now, whatever we put in the truck is what we're quote you based on. So this is gonna change the price that you were quoted ... Please do NOT use them. They are ...

hey get you by quoting low. My move from Oswego, IL to McKinney, TX was quoted $4940. At end with forceful/demanded tips it came to $5790. As soon as the moving guys come to your house, they see everything and say the sq. ft. quote we got is less than what we need to move. Since I knew their trick I told all measurements are taken from a cubic standpoint and I have less than what is quoted. Then he gave up on that argument. Next the main person said he and team needs to be paid a good tip if all goods has to be packed and reached good at the destination. He said typically people pay $200 each which now for 3 people it is $600/-. I paid $450 which the main guy was not very happy about. At destination I find that my 2 LED TV’s and one bed headboard were missing. At destination my main dining table legs were broken and all my wooden furnitures got damaged. They damaged all my 4 top quality mattress. It cost me more than $10,000/- to replace/buy all these things. Keep in mind that everything was packed by them. What they do is at the destination before they unload anything the driver will take the rest of the delivery charge in cash. So now you are struck. I made him to note all missing items and damages in the Bill of Lading. I them raised the compliant via moving claims.org as per their direction and they came back for a settlement of $72. At the destination driver asked for tip for him and his other 2 guys which I paid $400. Because I want to make sure the driver turns in the Bill of Lading so that I can claim. In summary, this company; do not have any ethics, do not have their own trucks (it is all rented from individuals who has no accountability to this company, do not have their own employees to load at origination and unload at destination (all people are hired on hourly rate on that day), no insurance on goods. This is how they manage to give cheap quote and finally we suffer. So do NOT use them. This is my humble request. Read more

They lost two of my bags one of which ...

There were multiple fees when they arrived and my wife was there by herself so we had to go ahead and pay it. Then we tried to pay by credit card they added a four percent fee to that. Then when they delivered they called on a Saturday night to say they were delivering Sunday morning they said that we'd have to pay with a certified check or cash for the balance, so that was practically next to impossible to get $1500 or $1600 on a Saturday night. There was damage to my items and we've lost two pieces of luggage and one of them had 60 days of my medication in it and I'm starting a new job and not covered under insurance so I'm not able to get my medication. Very pleased with them.

We had a good experience, there was one piece that was damaged. I called the company and they agreed to give me a $50 compensation for it, I haven't received the paperwork for it yet, but I was going to wait a few more days to call them in regards to that. this is actually my second choice company. I had to go with these guys after my first moving company choice screwed me over with the pickup date --- ended up waiting for a week before cancelling, and they still wanted to charge me the deposit! so i looked up these guys and got a nice deal. they were very prompt which i'm extra glad for cause new tenants were csuppose to move in to my old place, so I was having an absolute emergency. guys, just be safe and dont be tempted to go with the first company that offers you a nice deal. do your research and make sure you are going with someone reliable. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY TO MOVE ...

PLEASE NEVER USE THIS COMPANY TO MOVE YOUR FURNITURE. I made the 1st mistake by choosing a company that doesn’t do in home inventory checks prior to the move and I made the 2nd mistake by choosing a moving company based on the lowest quote. I was originally quoted ~$3500 to fully pack and move our things from Wisconsin to North Carolina. However when the drivers get there, after packing up all our things they tell my wife that we will be charged extra because my furniture is more bulky than most furniture. In the end we were told that we needed to pay an extra ~$1200 because our furniture took up more square footage than what was originally quoted. Now we did need a few extra boxes due to how they packed our things, but it was less than 8 extra boxes needed which is not worth $1200. We actually didn’t send things with the truck because the drivers stated that if 1 item passed a certain line in the truck, we would be charged an additional ~$800 which was CRAZY! Two of the drivers were VERY RUDE, unprofessional, smelled like smoke, demanded that my wife go to the store to get them some water (which she didn’t), kept asking for a tip, and had a very bad attitude. Because they had already packed all of our things, we felt forced to pay the additional $1200. After our furniture was taken away, the sales rep whose name is Raphael Miller, who was very responsive before our furniture was taken, completely stopped responding to my emails and calls immediately after our furniture was taken which was my 2nd red flag. Prior to our furniture was taken we were told by Raphael that it could take up to 10 days to receive our furniture and we said that’s fine. After I didn’t get any email responses from Raphael, I started to panic and wonder if this was a scam since we were already scammed for an additional $1200. In doing some additional research, I was able to find nothing but NEGATIVE reviews from this company from people stating exactly what I was going through. After calling multiple numbers and getting nowhere I finally got the customer service #. Everyone that I spoke to was extremely rude with no empathy for our situation. I spoke to Jennifer out of California, Kanesha, and Paula who were all VERY RUDE. Multiple people kept telling me to call Paula and I left multiple voicemails on her phone which she never called me back even though her voicemail states that she will call you back within 24hours (TOTAL LIE). After 2 weeks of this I was finally told about a website (movingclaims.net) where you can get information on your shipment. I went to the website using the job # that I was given by Rapheal and I got no response so I tried calling customer service again. After Kanesha wasn’t able to find my order at 1st I got really upset, then she said she needed to go into the “old system” to find my order and she gave me a new # to use then told me that our furniture was in a warehouse located in Illinois. They are horrid!!!!!

1. The sales team quoted me a price and even though I actually have less stuff the dispatch team is charging me $700 more despite the fact that I actually have less stuff. 2. When you call to try to get answers customer service has none. Their have no supervisor, no body you can get answers from, and nobody you can file a complaint with about your problems. 3. The customer service rep hung up on me three times on purpose. 4. The sales team gave me a 2-12 day window and said they usually deliver much quicker. That is not true, they are at the end of their window and stuff have not scheduled my stuff and can give me no answers on when I will get my items. 5. I continue to try to ask about the problems with pricing, they also have no answers on that and say I have no options but to pay the amount. 6. Very poor customer service and care of ...

I started this nightmare in December 2014 when I called and got an estimate for a planned move in July 2015 I paid the 10% down to lock in the estimate in March In may I paid an additional 60% down to get the p/u date of June 8TH Locked in On June 8th the movers called to advise me that the people who had a p/u prior to mine had more items than they inventoried and my items would not fit on the truck so they could not p/u until the 9th which cost me extra for not being out of the rental by the date the lease ended They p/u my things the 9th and put them in storage I had been told to call around the 21 or 22 of June so the could try to schedule the reloading of the truck for around the 27-29th so they could deliver as close to the 1st as possible because I have medical issues and really needed my bed When I called to find out when my belongings would arrive I was told they have a 2-15 day window when I tried to tell them I was told around the 1st because of the medical issues I was told she would read me my paperwork I told her no that I could read but had been told something else She hung up on me When I tried to call back no one would return my call My belongings were finally delivered on the 18th in breach of contract with my mattress and adjustable frame tied to the back of the truck There was damage to my headboard footboard nightstand media chest (it also had footprints on the back) my picturw was missing and collectibles broken Also when I paid the 60% in May it went through my account and they tried to say they never received it I proved it went through their bank and they finally acknowledged they received it DON'T USE THIS COMPANY IT IS THE WORST COMPANY I EVER DEALT WITH My furniture wasn't even a year old Such a nightmarw Read more

The service from National Movers was very professional throughout. I'm very satisfied with how they handled everything, and the packing/unpacking service was especially impressive - I didn't have to do anything on either the move out or the move in except for sign the various papers.
