We're still sleeping on an air ...

They picked my things up and I still haven't received them, and it's been more than a month. They told me it would be about 10 business days... When I called trying to inquire about where my shipment was ... they wouldn't answer the phone, they would hang up the phone, they would get nasty with me and my wife, we paid the money and they have our stuff and we've been sleeping on an air mattress for about a month because we don't have any of our stuff because we relocated out of state.

Scammers/Cheats

Orange Van lines originally quoted 2200 cub Ft, over the phone, I knew some diff in the end. I asked what my cubic ft. was when a worker said there was more room in the first truck. The foreman said, don’t say anything. When done he didn’t allow me to see inside the truck! He gave me paperwork to sign, which said my things were 3200. Final price from$6,135.96 to$9,740.00.I told him I was going to look inside the moving truck to see Cu Ft markings when they deliver. I called several times and related the scratched and dinged up the walls of the house and they said be sure to note that. I called talked to Nicole to? Delivery and to note prior issues. The truck arrives and I ask to see the cubic feet markings on the ceiling, he said no problem and it said 2400 Cubic Ft, however I still had to pay the balance $3650.80 in CASH to release my things. I called customer Service, Katia who answered asked how I knew my furniture and items/boxes etc. was 2400 cu ft. and I said I was looking inside the truck as we spoke, she said I signed paperwork for 3200 cu ft. So that’s what I had to pay for said the foreman told me it was 3300, She said why did I let them load? What, how was I to know what the cubic ft. would be? She would not listen and talked over me and when I finally said I was going to file a complaint, she said I don’t care if you call Obama! She is the rudest person! She asked why I didn’t say something sooner, I did call and talked to Nicole, and Katia said there was no notes. WHERE ARE THE PHONE RECORDS?I asked to a supervisor and she told me she was it, I asked to speak to someone higher up and she said she was it and hung up on me. When the movers were unloading the truck, I was called to see multiple times, which meant something was either broken or damaged. Four major items were destroyed, MY China Cab was broken in the back and the mirror shattered, a top piece was broken off and one of the legs of a chair was ripped off. My bedroom set has a broken piece and damaged corners and top. My Samsung French door Refrigerator front and sides are so completely scratched (down to bare metal) and the door has a large dent and the top edges are dented that it is unusable. Cunning company that cheats you

Pissed-off customer. I moved last month with Orange Van Lines. They gave me a very low estimate, and then on the day of the move they doubled it. The on-line estimate was not honoured, and I had to sign a new contract. Over the phone details and the on-line estimate are worthless, very bad experience. I do not recommend them if you want a stress-free and controlled move.

Legalized conmen

They are liars, they do not disclose that payment is in the form of cash, they do not disclose that they charge for stairs. Do not use these people. Their BBB rating is F. I moved around the block. They did not carry any furniture. They spent two hours taping furniture, that was not necessary. I carried all the lamps myself, mirrors, boxes, clothing. All they took was one bedroom set, sectional living sofa, one dresser, one tv. One dining room table, I carried the chairs myself, two coffee tables and a flat screen TV. They charged me $1,972 in cash.Then the foreman asked me if I use to have money because I had nice furniture. That man should be banned from the moving industry.

Irresponsible

Unfortunately we did not have a very good experience with Orange Van Lines. They were very friendly and helpful until they had my deposit. When being contacted for the actual movers and a specific date of moving, representatives of the company were suddenly unavailable. Calls went to voice mail and these messages were never returned. On the day of the move, the company said that the truck that was arranged was no longer available and there was nothing they could do about it. They said this happens in the moving business. They said they would keep looking and I could too. They asked if I would like my money back. This was on the day I was supposed to move. One could imagine how prepared I was to wait for another truck. The overall experience was very disappointing and the company's response was, Sorry, these things happen in the moving business.

Horrible experience

The moving company was not honest from the beginning quote to the pick up to the actual delivery. Immediately the price changed after the items were put the truck. Then it took 1 month to get the items delivered. Every time I called about my delivery date, I was told that Orange Vanlines was unsure when they would have a truck going towards SC. When the items arrived an entire box of glass cookware was broken and the movers broke the ceiling fan and lost a table and hair dryer. I was offered only $50.00 for my losses.

Horrible experience

My husband and I have moved 8 times. This was by far the worst move we have had. Customer service was awful, broken items and things were just thrown in boxes. Never have we seen such a mess. The worst experience we have ever had in moving. They arrived a day early because they scheduled incorrectly. There was no communication what so ever on their part. From the minute they arrived at our doorstep it was complete chaos. We had 3 people packing in each room. The main mover had the kitchen to move. He used NO DISHPAKS!! Fine China and platters are broken. The other mover threw things from desks into bottoms of boxes. We have 31 unmarked boxes and have no idea what’s in them. They had the gull to charge us another $500.00 for additional boxes. What a joke. They were to move a brand new Harley Davidson and had no ramp to move it on. They physically lifted it onto to the truck. They never told us our things would be in a 30 ft truck only to be held overnight and manhandled onto a 18 wheeler. They were also a day late getting to New York, which caused another huge mess. The car transport was even worse. They showed up wanting more money than quoted. On a scale of 1-10 this was minus zero. One huge mess my husband and I have.

Smart robbery

I accepted a new position in San Diego, CA. I only had three weeks to find a home, find a mover and pack up a 3 bedroom 1 bath home. I called several movers and was impressed with the speed and service I received from Orange Van Lines. After going through the entire contents of our home, the sales rep. placed the information on their computer program, I was told our entire house is estimated at 6,200 lbs. and the estimated cost would be $3,500. I was not comfortable with this total, it seemed low. I asked OVL to send a professional estimator out to our home to physically look at all of our household items and come up with an accurate estimate based on true household items, not a computer program. To my surprise, the “professional estimator” from OVL claimed our move would be only 6,500 lbs. Trusting “professionals”, my wife and I decided to stay with OVL. The nightmare begins. We were told to expect a phone call 48 to 24 hours before the movers would be at our house to pick up our items. We received a phone call at 4:30 PM on Monday that the movers would be at our home between 12:00 and 1:00 on Tuesday, Nov 10th, 2015. The movers arrived around 3:30 Tuesday with a 27 foot truck, (we were told by OVL it would be a semi). The movers immediately told us we had way more than 6,500 lbs. and the mover did not know whether all of our belongings would fit on their truck. At midnight, we were told some of our household items would not fit on the truck and would be left behind. We were also told our household items would weigh more than 10,000 lbs. We were caught in Orange Van Lines' trap. Their game plan is to low ball your household weight and cost estimate to get you as a customer and then hold your household items hostage until you pay the entire additional fee. My wife and my move from Chicago, IL to San Diego, CA cost us over $6,000. This amount was almost twice the quoted price. Pay attention to the reviews you see online. Orange Van Lines is as BAD as people say they are. Be wise while dealing with such companies.

They broke my fragile things.

I actually had a horrible experience with them. Everything was on time ... But there were several things I had in boxes that were actually broken, even though they were fully wrapped in bubble wrap and all of the appropriate precautions were taken as far as writing "Fragile" on the boxes.

Super professional, on time and ...

Orange Van Lines, these movers were absolutely a dream come true! I could never ask for a greater moving experience. In fact, I wish I could give 7 stars. We selected Orange based on the great reviews and I understand why people are so happy. Super professional, on time and wonderful people. I understand why everyone is worried about moving companies. The price change. Orange Van Lines along with Charlie, makes sure you in the know about everything. I'll be moving next year and I have Orange on the top of my list. Regardless of their price!

Absolutely Awful

This company needs to be shut down! Once they have you locked into your move (aka, they have your stuff on the truck) they become the most unethical, shady people ever. As you can see my quote was almost $1000 more than what I was quoted over the phone. This was after I went through my house and measured each and every item with the customer service rep on the phone. They will pack the truck and then tell you that it took up significantly more space (due to my location I wasn't "eligible" to receive an in-home estimate). You'd hope that would be the worst part, but it's only going to get worse from there- one or more of these things will likely occur for your long-distance move:1. Call the day before from the dispatch team, with a completely different time frame then originally quoted to pick up the stuff. Tell them that's not going to work? they will flat out tell you they don't care if you needed a specific window and was assured one by the customer service rep.suck it up. that is the only time they have available for you. 2. Once your stuff is in their possession, the company basically disappears. There were days when I would call and would be picked up on and immediately placed on hold forever-no greeting, no nothing. This stopped after I blocked my number and then called-how convenient, if you call too much to inquire about where your stuff is, they screen your call and avoid you. Professional. 3. The thing they love to say is that basically nothing of a service you hired them for is guaranteed! I had to start a job without any of my items-so for three weeks now I have had limited clothes to wear to work. We have been sleeping on an air mattress since August 4th. Any attempt to have anyone communicate with "dispatch" is impossible. I was even told, that the woman who coordinates dispatch "no one can contact her directly". Likes she's the wizard of oz or something. 4. I was told that my items were being loaded and would leave CA on business day 19. I called exactly a week later to see if they could give me an estimate of date of delivery-whoops! wouldn't you know it, my items actually never got loaded. But did anyone bother to call me and tell me? NOPE! I was just going to sit around for another few days wondering if I'd ever get my stuff. 5. Expect to be without your things for the entire time, which contractually is 30 BUSINESS DAYS. Not days. So where I went with this company because the quote was the lowest I have now paid for not having any of my items and stress out the wazoo trying to get communication and customer service from this company. 6. And then, just when you think, man, I'm going to get my stuff, the 30 business day window is coming up, it's unlikely. But don't worry, for every day past 30, you get "compensated" at like $25 a day. It's not taken off your remaining balance. You have to go through their claims dept. yeah, right. I bet they pick up-

Diligent movers, packed fragile items ...

I had a great experience with Orange Van Lines from start to finish! I was looking for quotes back in June and spoke with Lizzy. My move kept getting pushed off, but Lizzy was very patient and kept following up with me until I finally had a plan! I didn't have many items, but many were fragile and the movers were really diligent and packed everything so well! My stuff just arrived without a hitch and I wanted to thank Orange Van Lines for making this so much easier!

All I can say is WOW!

I just moved from Florida to Oklahoma and all I can say is WOW! From start to finish it was nothing but wonderful. I was assisted by Noah who was very helpful and informative and assured me that all would go well with the move. Naturally I was a bit skeptical as the last time I moved cross country several of my furniture pieces were damaged, but Noah was right! Everything in the truck arrived in immaculate condition as if the lord himself were watching over the whole thing. Only positive things to say about Orange Van Lines!

Finished successfully without any of ...

Without rushing anything Orange VL moved me from Ohio to Michigan within four-five days. The good work was finished successfully without any of my things suffering any damage. They are the first company that hasn't kept my things longer than necessary and I am quite content with that fact.

They arrived on time and were courteous

I even needed an additional stop at my storage unit, and I let them know last minute, they didn't hassle me for it and plus it was free of charge! The one guy who stood out to me is Steve, he was awesome. Just a very positive guys with a CAN DO attitude, which I find often missing in many people. All three guys helped tremendously Special thanks to Steve for understanding we had a schedule and working extra fast to get us on our way.

I decided to go with Orange van lines for my entire Moving from FL to VA. I came to know of them and their fantastic packing and moving service. After the completion of all the formalities, I got a fair quote including full packing and door 2 door services and the price was affordable. They made sure that they had no hidden charge and they were very transparent about the charges. After the move, I realized they are trustworthy. They came at 9am with a large roomy vehicle. They took good care of my belongings. They also carried out their duty very well by being courteous at all times. Packing, loading to unloading and re-assembling everything went so smooth. No complaints!

Efficient and excellent movers!

Efficient and excellent movers! Great experience! They came in morning on time and patiently helped pack things and give us plenty of free boxes. We had two locations to pack before go to the new one, but they we're helpful at whole time. I moved with Orange Van Lines. This was the first time, my wife and I used them. It's true this company really does have excellent rates and competitive prices! I would like anyone who see's this, to speak with Charlie. What an excellent and helpful representative. He will honestly give the support and professionalism needed.

Experienced movers and professional ...

I had a great moving experience with Orange Van Lines! Michael the sales representative was straight forward and honest, the moving industry can be a bit complicated but Michael educated me in all areas of the moving industry. My building was a strict rules about insurance policy, but it wasn't problem for Orange Van Lines! Also I would like to say thank you to movers Charlie and Matt, who helped me several times. They are doing their job professionally and quickly. I will recommend Orange for sure to my friends and people who needs professional moving service.

Every single person I worked with was ...

It was awful. Everything was awful ... Nobody would answer the call ... If they answered they would just hang up the phone. They gave me a different quote. And then when they came they changed it and increased it. I got a quote of $1,100 and they charged me close to $3,000. ...They did not come on time ... They put a three-inch hole in the ceiling of the house. Earlier they had told me I could pay them through credit card but then they forced me to pay through cash ... They wouldn't give me the bill, the receipt, so I couldn't even get the reimbursement from my employer.

Completed early, happily and with no ...

I was referred to this moving company by another who was already booked for my tight time-frame. From start to finish, the busy-work this involved amounted to just 2 hours. Everything else was completed early, happily and with no breaks at all. I had moved my things into storage, then Orange Van Lines to move them to my new place. They were very respectful, but had to laugh at my complete lack of skill in their field. I'll be coming back to them whenever the need arises and a thank you to Charlie.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Using this company to assist in our move was the BIGGEST mistake my husband and I ever made. They are straight up liars, their customer service is ATROCIOUS, they don't return phone calls etc. we moved from California to Omaha on 7/26. We were told it would take 7-10 days from pickup to receive our belongings. We rec'd our stuff 8/16 minus our KING SIZE mattress they "forgot" to load. You would have to be blind or an idiot to miss a mattress that big. We still haven't rec'd it. When we call the geniuses that work for them for status their answer is "Omaha is not a popular place to deliver so we really don't know when you'll receive it" these people are DISGUSTING. You're better off having a retard with a pickup truck deliver your stuff

Overall, wonderful company and very ...

We just had a move done by Orange Van Lines. What a fantastic company. Although, I was given a two day pick up window, I was actually impressed by the service and efficiency of the company. The quote was adjusted by $50-75, but that's it. This was for a few additional items; I took on the day of the move. Overall, wonderful company and very helpful. I really was pleased by the detail that was given by Charlie. Great company guys. Really wonderful to have hired!

Friendly, punctual and professional ...

I was referred to Orange Van Lines by a friend who used them, and I'm so glad I did too. They set everything up for me no problem. My first phone call with Emily got me an accurate binding (and more than affordable!) quote within fifteen minutes, with packing for my bed and dresser mirror. I booked on the spot, a month and a half before I had to move. Emily checked in with me the week before and adjusted the quote for the box count and additional furniture I decided to take after all. The crew was friendly, punctual and professional and everything arrived in perfect condition much earlier than I expected. Use these folks!

I had just contacted Orange Van Lines to move. I would like to leave a positive review about this particular company. It was an absolute pleasure, letting the company handle my move. I spoke to a polite and informative, Charlie. This was our first move with a moving company. Usually I move with my girlfriend alone. They showed up at 7:15 at night to ...

They were two days late showing up to move my stuff. They showed up at 7:15 at night to start packing and loading the truck. They did not finish until midnight. I had a 13 hour drive, you know...when they finish at midnight and I have a 14 hour drive ahead of me and they're a day and a half late...no, not too cool. Now I cannot even get a hold of them so that they can charge my credit card to pay for my move. They keep trying to charge my card and I have to give authorization from my bank to have such a large amount drawn out--so I have been playing phone tag with them for two weeks.

Very thorough and helpful, and ...

Overall a great experience! Thank you to Lizzy who helped me with the entire planning stages of my move to Colorado. She was very thorough and helpful, and answered all my questions and addressed my worries (I have had bad moving experiences in the past). The move itself also went really smoothly. The movers came about an hour after the dispatch had said they would but kept me notified of their progress because they were stuck in traffic. They were very efficient and handled and packed our items really well. Thanks Orange Van Lines for your great service!

Showed up on time and were ...

My brother recently moved to Florida with Orange Van lines and he recommended them highly. I spoke with Lizzy several times in order to organize my move. As my move date came closer, I realized I wouldn't have much time to do my own packing because I work long hours. Lizzy was very helpful and suggested that I have a full service move done so I wouldn't have to worry about packing. The movers showed up on time and were professional and efficient. All my furniture and items were wrapped and packed with care and I didn't have to lift a finger. I've moved a couple times before and can honestly say this was my easiest moving experience yet!

Worst moving experience ever ...

NO! Absolutely not! The parent company is Frontier Van Lines out of Houston TX. These people are ripoff artists. As I reported and filed a complaint to the US DOT FMSCA.gov, BBB, Oregon, California and Texas Justice Department, as well as movers.com and ripoff report, this company quotes you one thing on paper but the actual bill is 40 - 50% higher! Plus they do not communicate, I had to call them. They handled our fragile goods so poorly that about half of our kitchen and hutch items were shattered or broken, many of them one-of-a-kind antiques. Never seen anything like it. To top it all off, they estimated delivery of our household goods from pickup to be 1 - 10 days. In fact it took them 22 days! We found out that when they left our house with our items with a full truck, instead of going north to our destination, they went south to Compton CA and stored our goods! It was closer to just continue going to our destination! Where is the sense in that??! Like I said I had to call them almost every day for updates and mostly I received, "Our dispatcher handles those requests and there is no status at this time." When they finally showed up it was in a Penske Truck rental with "Orange Van Lines" taped to the side of the door and our expensive box springs were strapped to the back of the van!!! I am almost certain the only people giving them favorable reviews are employees of the company and/or their friends or paid to do so. AVOID Orange Van Lines and Frontier Van Lines at all costs!

Five star rating, highly recommended

Orange Van Lines is the best moving service I've ever used. I've moved a lot over the years, and I never had such a great experience with another company. The sales rep Emily put in my list of dimensions for my inventory and made sure we had all our special packing taken care of. The crew was professional and quick, and careful with all our stuff. I got regular updates from the dispatch office to the status of my delivery, which arrived within a week. Five star rating, highly recommended. Already sent a coworker to them to book his move.

Unprofessional

I have been trying to call the staff at the company for 2 days now and no response. Our sales guy Matt Brady hung up the phone after he realized it was me when I blocked my number. My pick up date was suppose to be postponed and someone screwed up and instead of fixing the issue they are just ignoring it. What ever you do, do not use this company!

Took good care and had a smooth move

I could have done the moving by myself and probably would take a lot more time and patience to finish. I am very glad I hired Orange Van Line to do all the hard work. I got the Full Packing Service, they took good care of all my belongings, packing each item and loading carefully. From Ohio to Pennsylvania, only four days later the job was done, my representative (Robert Silva) was very patient and explained everything, my price wasn't changed and I had a smooth move. Thank you!

So impressed was the service - ...

My name is Joyce, and I just completed a move from CA, Long beach to NYC. I moved a two bedroom home this month and my items have just arrived. I stumbled upon ORANGE VAN LINES online and saw they had good reviews! This was company based in TX and were able to do my home at no extra cost for traveling! One thing that I was so IMPRESSED was the service. It was reliable, prompt and very informative. In terms of the price, I was given a binding estimate from a charming Charlie Taylor. He explained a full service move to me, as well as the services included. My quote only went up by $35.00 and this was for the TV crate that i did need. Apart from that, the delivery was smooth and unpacking came in to great help. I will be forwarding ORANGE VAN LINES details at my office and would like to wish the company well and success. I moved cross country last week with Orange Van Lines. I worked with Emily Harris on my move, and she went above and beyond to ensure everything was accurate and went smoothly. She was always happy to answer every question and make every minute adjustment to my inventory. Emily gave me tons of information about the moving industry so I could make the best decision for whom to use for my move. The crew was punctual, efficient and courteous, and my items arrived in half the estimated time. Definitely work with them for your move.
