They did their job but broke a window

On 3/2/22 I moved. So they were very professional and wrapped up all my furniture, even furniture I didn’t think needed being wrapped up but at the house I was moving to, the light is very poor in the master bedroom, so when they were assembling the bed frame, I went over to the window and opened the curtains and blinds so they could see. Later, after they left, I went to this same window to close the curtains and realized when I stood there I was standing in broken glass. If it had been broken by me, I would have been standing in the broken glass when I was giving the movers more light by opening the window. The movers left my ottoman really close to the window, standing vertically. It looked like whoever took the ottoman in, when taking it off the hand truck, the hand truck broke the window. I took a picture and contacted Marvin, the moving manager, he said none of his guys admitted to breaking the window but they were going to pay for the window to be replaced. I found a place which you can take a pane in and they will replace the glass so you don’t need a totally new window. I took it in, fronted the money to get the glass replaced $232 plus the $80 our landlord charged us for taping up the window while it was getting repaired. March 10, I gave Marvin the total, he said he would take care of it. March 26, he texted me saying he hadn’t forgotten about me but was waiting on his insurance. I texted him on April 15 and April 21, no response. I called on May 4, and said I needed a response in 24 hours. No response. He ghosted me. So they are a good price but have no integrity and didn’t actually pay for the damages they did to my new home. Do not recommend. Read more
