NOT A GOOD LONG-DISTANCE MOVER
R&L came a day late to pick up our household goods, and brought a rented truck that was too small. The initial estimate of $6,600 was changed to $10,000. They returned 3 days later (a day later than they said they would), and promised delivery in about a week. Three weeks went by and no delivery. We would call, and they often would not answer and would not return our calls. They finally sold our load to a NY company who delivered our goods 26 days after the pickup date.
Much of our furniture was dented and scratched, and we ended up with two parcels that belonged to someone else.
The employees who picked up and delivered our stuff were nice, but we do not recommend this company as a long-distance mover. Don't fall for the low-balled estimate, and go with a big national company.

Fabulous service provided by the ...
This moving company was extremely quick in getting the move done. Two guys came to my home did an extraordinary job and they were polite and worked swiftly. They delivered everything in the very next day of my move, which was fantastic. They were on time from the beginning to the end and got the job done accurately and how it needed to be done. Thanks guys for your efficient services.

A mediocre move
It was an okay move. The movers were on time. It was low-priced, however several things were damaged. Overall, the move went well, thanks to the friendly attitude of the movers. The pricing was nearly equivalent to what I received for the estimate, although we had to pay a bit extra than what was quoted.

Recent Move
We recently had the misfortune of using your moving company. I was originally given a quote from Jay Mays, who assured me, (after I gave him a COMPLETE inventory of everything we owned), that the estimate he gave me was actually on the high side and I could expect to pay right around what he quoted. The day of the move two men showed up in a small Ryder truck. After doing a walk through I was told that despite the size of the truck, everything would fit. 13 hours later, it was realized that not all our belongings were going to fit and I had to leave things behind. I don't believe this was the fault of the moving men, who were very professional and hard working. The fact that we were paying thousands and I actually had to throw away items because they couldn't be moved was the first clue that we had chosen a completely unprofessional company and were well on our way to being scammed. The second clue was when we got the final bill and it was over $3000.00 more than what we were quoted. During this time my husband and I made numerous attempts to contact Jay Mays, who had set the move up for us, but he chose not to respond to any of our messages. He had our money and was done with it. My husband works for a very large company that has an entire dept. dedicated to relocating employees, due to the complete lack of concern and unprofessional attitude we got from your company, we are making it our mission to make sure no one in his business use your company.
