Avoid this Company
I do not recommend this company! Janis, the person who answers the phone, was rude and difficult to talk to throughout our entire experience. She never offered to pre-assess our job, which resulted in a disastrous move, as the packing and moving crews were grossly understaffed. The packers worked slowly, only completing about half of the job in 8 hours. The next day, the moving crew was astonished that they had to finish the packing before they could start moving. They were pleasant and hard working, but really overwhelmed, resulting in over $2,000 of damages to our furniture and belongings. After the move, Janis claimed that we had refused the free pre-assessment. Scott, the owner, would not come to the phone. Both of them showed very little care for the customer. To top it off, they never paid us their portion of the insurance claim. This company’s treatment of their customers is inexcusable. I wish I had read the reviews before choosing this company. Of the many reviews I have since read, only three are positive, and one of those three was written by Janis herself!

Unethical Business Practices
I hired this company on 12/9/14 to move my belongings to my new place of residence on 12/13/14. I was quoted a 3 hour minimum @ $85/h with 2 guys, 1 hour for travel time, and $20 gas surcharge. I was told that the movers would show up between 8:30a-9:30a on the morning on the move, I called the company at 9:51am, left a voicemail because the movers had not shown up yet, nor did I receive a phone call. I received a call from the mover at 9:53 am stating that they were 15-20 minutes away. When the mover arrived, they explained that they were late because the first truck that the picked up from the warehouse had an expired inspection sticker and they had to take the truck back to get a different one. The movers asked to see what needed to be moved, I showed them and advised that the legs of the sofa would need to be removed so that it can me taken down the stairs. I advised them that everything has already been packed with the exceptions of some shoes, and I was told that would just box them up for me. The mover stated that he did not bring any tools because he left his tool box on the other truck, so we had to provide them with tools that were needed to complete their job. All trucks should have the equipment for the movers to do there jobs efficiently. The movers proceeded to take boxes to the truck, one by one, even though they had a dolly, and there was a wheelchair accessible ramp that could have used so that they could carry multiple items to the truck to unload. It fact it was suggested for them that use that to their advantage, but they continued as they wished. For these guys to be professional movers there was absolutely no strategy in place. There were periods of time where I had to go upstairs to see what they were doing because time had lapsed where I had not seen them take anything to the truck. At one point, both movers were taking the legs off the couch, when one of them should’ve been loading up the truck. I left my mother's house at 3:21 pm to head over to my new place of residence, and they were still not finished loading up the truck, this is almost 5 hours after the fact. I received a call from my mother at 3:45pm stating that they were just leaving and heading to my house. They arrived about 4:30pm, and my father and boyfriend started unloading majority of the items with the exception on the big items, (2 dressers, couch,). They attempted to assemble the headboard, however due to them not having any tools; we had to go behind them again anyway. I advised them that I did not want them to assemble anything else since they managed to drag this move out too long anyway. The movers spent more time unwrapping the padding off of items before they were even removed from that truck than actually moving items into the house. The end time for the move was 5:30 and I was asked to pay $700 despite them showing up late unprepared, my family unloading the truck for them. They showed up completely unprepared
It was ridiculous. They showed up completely unprepared, the movers were mortified themselves. They talked to their manager and we went back and forth. Their suggestion was to call them back, fire them, and they'll come back with 4 people, so that's what I did. It wasn't the movers fault, it was the person who took the information at dispatch. The movers themselves were fine. I specifically went through it verbally with her over the phone so I don't know what her problem is.

The movers were accommodating and ...
The movers, I told them I could only pay them for three hours, and so they worked really hard to stand by that - so that I wouldn't have to pay more than what I could afford, so they were very accommodating for that. And they were very respectful of my belongings. So that was all good.

A well managed move
I am pretty much impressed with the way the movers carried out my move. They were fast and effecient at both ends of the move. The movers were on time and wrapped everytning carefully before loading them. They took extra care not to damage property or my stuff while moving. I would like to use their services again and would definitely recommend them to my friends and family.
