Never Again

I would rather do all the work completely on my own than even consider hiring them again. I walked to the truck to ask a question as some point in the middle of the job and saw them just sitting at the truck talking/on their phones until they finally saw me coming and pretended to be productive. Mind you,I’m paying by the hour so they’re wasting my time and money. I’ve moved twice with roughly the same items and it’s never taken any more than 2 hours,start to finish. Over 2 hours after they started,they hadn’t even finished loading the truck. In those 2 hours,one of the movers even asked about getting my number which immediately made me extremely uncomfortable to be there with either of them. When we got to the destination,I watched as they dropped and damaged some of my belongings. This is after already running way over the time this job should have been done so I had to miss an important appointment. Moral of the story,I’ve let any of my friends and family know to never use them and certainly will never use them myself again.

Job never even started! Took my money ...

???? AVOID THIS FRAUD "COMPANY" AT ALL COSTS!! THEY ARE NOTHING BUT LIARS AND CON ARTISTS!! BEWARE. I KNOW THIS TO BE TRUE FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE. THESE LYING SCAMMERS HAVE BEEN REPORTED TO THE POLICE AND THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND WILL BE IN COURT SOON. PLEASE AVOID. ????

AVOID AT ALL COST!

Where do I begin? On 10/05/2020 I closed on my first home and planned to spend the day moving my items into my new home and unpacking. A day that was supposed to celebrated was immediately shadowed by the unprofessionalism displayed by Relocation Specialists. My appointment with the movers was at 3pm. When no one showed by 3:15pm, I contacted a representative who told me that the movers were completing a 3rd floor move and would be wrapping up soon. The owner was supposed to send me the contact info for driver but did not. The most appropriate and professional thing would have been to call ahead and inform me of this information versus leaving me in charge of the reach out. Another hour passed and I was still not informed of the delay. Again, I had to reach out to the owner to inquire about the driver’s ETA. At one point, the owner stopped answering the phone. One hour turned into 4 and before I knew it, it was 7pm. Still no movers. My things were outside of the garage, as I wanted to make it easier for the movers. By the time I received further communication, I was after 10pm. The text from the owner read: “We just got finished with the first job. Do you still want us to come?” Are you kidding me?! After seven hours of no movers, that’s what you have to say? No apologies? I WILL NEVER WORK WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN AND ENCOURAGE YOU TO DO THE SAME.

Fraud- Please avoid

These people are fraud. They told , they will be coming at 10AM morning. They came at 7PM evening. They didnot packed my stuff. Once they reached , they asked me to pay in cash. I gave them 800$ , they started fighting and asked for 1000$. The office didnot pick my call. Now I am asking them to give the receipt of money I paid. I am calling them every 2 days. The person will pick my call and disconnect. Don't trust these guys. Stay Away

Moving is Stressful

Anyone knows that moving is stressful. But not with these guys. Elliott and his guys were beyond awesome. Extremely accommodating, strong, and fast. They took such good care of my things. Nothing was scratched, broken, or dented. I WILL call these guys for the next "stressful" move. Highly recommend!

Simple, responsible, professional!

Today I had two men come from Relocation Specialists and Eugene and Marcus were great, and Eliot was great at scheduling me and calling to follow up 24 hours prior to moving day. I moved into a brand new unit, it was spotless, no scuffs or issues, and I'm AMAZED that not even my CLOSET was scuffed by the boxes they moved in. They were respectful, professional, positive, and so helpful to me. They wrapped an expensive jewelry box, moved large wardrobes and boxes, bins, bags and crates. I even had to give them the code to my storage unit, and they used the code and packed the truck without me there. I will use them again for jobs large and small. Couldn't be happier!

Great Service!

My girlfriend and I were very pleased with the moving services of this company. The movers moved quickly and were very careful. I made the appointment with ease and the price was reasonable with no hidden charges. I would easily call them again and refer them to anyone I know moving!

Amazing!

Awesome service on very short notice! My husband fell on his recently broken ankle and needed help unloading our truck to a storage unit. They were there within 10 minutes,worked hard and fast,and provided excellent service! We will be using them again when we move out of our storage unit into our apartment. Thanks!

Don't use these guys

3 hours late,broke multiple things of mine,went over the time they had quoted me for and charged me 200 dollars more,didn't bring the size truck they said that we would need resulting in overtime in the hours and two trips instead of one. Tried calling the "manager" of the business but rejected my phone calls and didn't answer my texts. They also came up to the door,upon first meeting,smoking. Very unprofessional of them all around. Very displeased and honestly felt robbed of money and customer respect. Never again will they be used by anyone that I know or ever asks for a reference.

I have used Relocation Specialists 2 times after my friend highly recommended them. They have always been prompt, professional and are there to get the job done and not waste time. They have always been super respectful of my property and have never had a single issue. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Awesome Professional

Sharif, Shanez, and Eric did a great job taking a poorly packed storage and just made the move and the destination storage so much better!! Would definitely use again!! Would certainly recommend!!

Reckless

I hired this company to move my furniture from NC to PA. Not only were they rude to me and my sister, they were careless, breaking and damaging most of my furniture. I attempted to contact Elliott Mattocks, to resolve the issue but he never responded to my calls or texts.

3 hours late, unprofessional

Horrible customer service and downright rude! The movers showed up 3 hours late. I had friends there to help with the process to make the move go as quick as possible and unfortunately because this company showed up 3 hours late, my friends had to leave, causing me to have to pay for more moving labor. I continued to express concerns over the weather to the owner of the company while waiting for them to show up and because they were 3 hours late, we ran into rain delays, thus costing me even more money. Finally, because they were so late, we didn't make it to my storage facility before the office closed and so I had to go to home depot to buy bolt cutters to cut the padlock off of my unit. The movers had to wait around for me to do so thus causing me to pay for even more wasted time. I tried contacting the company several times to resolve this issue, was told "I'll call you back" several times. No one ever called back. Eventually he stopped responding to my text messages and was completely rude and ignorant when my credit card company called him to dispute a portion of the charge. He is very unprofessional and frustrating to deal with. Go with New Beginnings instead.

Worst Service

I called to reserve the movers 2 weeks prior to the date I needed to be moved, there was no confirmation call to ensure my service will be rendered, I had to call to make sure they were coming. My appointment was at 8am and they didn't show up until 11:35am no call was made to let me know they will be late. It took 4 hours and one of the movers was so unprofessional and flirting with me and couldn't concentrate on getting my furniture moved. On top of that they completely destroyed my tv stand and my chest of drawers and broke on of my dining chairs. Would not recommend this company to no one.

Worst movers....would not even ...

I scheduled my move 3 days ago for a Saturday 3 pm....followed up twice on Saturday to make sure they will be on time. I was told at 2 pm that they will arrive at 4 pm. No ETA even after 5:30 pm. Am stuck in a situation where i need to handover keys tomoorow and i cant get anyone else this late in the day. Irresponsible people and poor communication adding to the owes if the delay.

Do not use- Unfinished Move

The movers showed up an hour late (this was after I had to call and see where they were). I requested that they place my Washer and Dryer in my new storage. They got to my new place and had left my Washer and Dryer at my storage at my old place. Elliot advised me they would bring it back later in the afternoon (approx 5 pm) and I never heard from him. I contacted them after 6 pm to get the status of my washer and dryer and he explained the move they were completing took longer than expected and he would be there after 7:30 pm which was too late. I requested that they take care of this on Sunday. I called Elliot again after 3 pm to see where we were at in the process. He told me that he would be there at 5:30. It's Monday at 11:15 am and I have yet to hear from them about making this right.

Friendly guys with great service

I hired these guys based on other reviews I saw on here and I was glad I did. By far the easiest move I've ever done. They came in and didn't waste anytime getting my stuff packed in the truck. I was on the third floor and had several heavy items, but it still didn't take as long as I thought it would (I had some of my friends to help me move in and it took forever!). They were very friendly and didn't scratch or mess up any of my stuff. I plan to hire them again next time I move.

VERY VERY GOOD, but an hour late

I have a job that makes me move cities/states. These guys did an amazing job and took care of everything. You can completely rely on them to move your stuff with ease and efficiency. They were an hour late, but made up for it when they started working. I am planning to avail their services again this time when I move.

Good experience, but they were late on ...

The experience was good. They said a minimum two hours would be taken and they finished the job in one hour so we were pretty happy with that. The only thing was they arrived a couple hours later than the time we had decided, so that's the only point.

Do not use left waiting for two hours

These guys where late to start, didn't call us we had to call them much more than several times before they answered to which they responded they where finishing up a job and would be there in an hour. We waited another hour and a half and left. Once we returned to our home we got a phone call asking if we needed anymore services? No services was given in the first place just a waste of gas and money. Their rate seems great until you deal with a mess like this, I would pay the extra 25 an hour to have real professionals do what they say they are going to. Do not use.

Excellent Moving Experience

Mr. Mattox and his assistant showed up on time on February 26th. They were helpful, polite and worked quickly. They took the utmost care in protecting our furniture, some of which were antique and quite valuable. They did not damage anything at all either in the loading or unloading 90 miles away. It was a very long day for them, well over 12 hours, with the load, travel, unload and drive back to Charlotte area. They could not get all our stuff on the initial load and made arrangements for a second crew to come out the next week to finish the job at a greatly reduced rate. The second part of the move went as smoothly as the first. That crew was also very polite and considerate of our stuff. They too worked very quickly and completed the move with no damage at all to our belongings. I would highly recommend this company to handle anyone's moving needs! J.B. Sharp

Great price and nice staff but weren't ...

My furniture is extremely heavy and maybe if you have lighter furniture it's not so bad -- but I have a desk that weighs over 500 pounds, and an armoire that weighed a ton and the guy I'm dating actually had to help them unload because they only had two guys. And I told them upfront that I have very heavy furniture. The staff and crew was very nice and the price was fantastic though. But they were also late getting there, they told me they'd be there early in the morning but they didn't get there until almost 6 at night and worked until about 10. Anyway, they didn't get there until much later than what they had told me. That's my point -- if he had the proper equipment to move me, the staff wouldn't have been so worn out. The price was great, but honestly you get what you paid for and I just didn't have a lot of money to move. He just needed to have a lift or a ramp, the guys were really nice though.

Reliable and affordable

They were on-time. They stayed a little more than they had estimated but they didn't charge me for that, so I was happy with that. I absolutely would recommend them, they are much cheaper than other companies so they are pretty good for local moves. They are in fact half the price of all other companies, so I think they are much cheaper. They are pretty good and they are reliable. I would say call them for all local moves. The staff is courteous. I would recommend them.

It was pretty bad

They broke my washer and my dryer. They said it would take two hours, and it took six. They were bringing in literally one couch cushion at a time. Me and my mom ended up helping them--we brought in the dresser because they were taking so long.

Reasonably priced good service

It was okay. I would say my overall experience was good. The cost was reasonable. That is what I liked the most about the thing. The crew were fine. They were friendly. As far the time I think they are also mistake from thier side. They are not sure about the location initially but apart from that it was okay. Yes packing was fine.

Specialists in their field

I choose this moving company after much deliberation and am very much impressed with their services. The movers were very friendly and eager to help. They were very accomodative in that they followed our instructions in keeping the furniture where we required it. They are pretty fast at completing the job. I would definitely like to recommend them to anyone who wants a smooth move without any complaints.

Smoothest move

I've moved several times over the past few years and this time the moving company recommended by movers.com was just awesome. The arrived on time, finished the job as promised with no damage and was very professional and courteous. I even gave them more than what was quoted. I recommend this site for anyone looking to move.

An average moving experience

I used relocation specialists for my move. They came a couple of hours later than the designated time and they carried out the move at an irritatingly slow pace. Also they weren't properly equipped for the move and brought some of the wrong supplies. The only good thing about the move was that it was reasonably priced and they didn't charge a penny extra than what they quoted.
