Very Disappointed

I used this moving company to move me from one residence to another here in Johnson City on Friday, June 14th. I had called for an estimate about a month before and was told by Ron, the manager, that the move would cost me about $500.00 after detailing to him all that needed to be moved. I also got a quote from Gentry Moving Company in Elizabethton that was also for about $500.00, but decided to go with this company since I had used it many times before. I had requested two men for the move because I have found in the past that the more men involved the less efficiently they work, and had done all the packing myself. When the men came there were three of them, but was assured that the cost would be less with 3 men rather than two men, but the move would take about 10 hours at a cost of $115.00 per hour, which was over twice as much as Ron had told me. I had just closed on my new residence two days before and needed to move in order to put my house up for sale so I did not argue with him, as I needed to move. Overall, the men were careful and not hard to deal with, but they chipped off a piece of brick from my house's front porch when moving my refrigerator, and also scratched the door frame and hardwood floor in my new residence at the entrance to the kitchen when removing the other refrigerator I was swapping out. I was told all these damages would be repaired, but they were not. I tried all the following week to talk to Ron, leaving messages on the voice mail and with the secretary who told me he would call me back, but he never did. I feel I was overcharged by at least $500.00 and I resent not having my phone calls returned nor having repairs to the damages incurred during the move. Epitome of Professionalism

Roy's moved us Memorial Day weekend 2014. They were FANTASTIC! I actually had to force them to take breaks. They were conscientious about protecting our possessions as well as our homes. We have a VERY HEAVY safe, which required a special truck (which was why it costs more) and loaded it safely and placed it exactly where we requested in the new house.
