Grossly Neglegent. DO NOT TRUST.
Just got my claim valuation today and it is $156.00 for the $0.60 per pound. Phillip, when we spoke you asked I write you an email with my issues. Here it is. First, your estimate was not close to the actual cost of the move. Reference our email on 7/24/2015 where you estimated $228 for the move. We also scheduled with you via phone for a representative to come out to the house to provide a more accurate estimate, and the representative never showed up. I also find your website and estimate misleading as well when the cost is fuel and mileage of $30, and your site shows a picture of a truck owned by Sacred Heart, but that cost is actually for you to rent a truck from a third party. I see the one sentence where it says that materials are additional, but again as I said on the phone was not provided that actual cost of the materials, so there was no way to estimate the cost of the move. I hope you can appreciate what it is like to be a deployed soldier and have your wife inform you of a surprising $660 increase in moving cost simply for boxes. That is of course on top of the $792 increase in manning costs from the $228 estimate, for a cost of $1280 in manning for a grand total of $1,680. I understand some flexibility is required in moving estimates, but anyone would say a 800% estimation error is purely negligent. Needless to say, we were in a position where we had no choice but to pay. The other aspect of the movement you did not inform me of was that you unload all the boxes from the truck into the warehouse, and that moving the property out of the warehouse is another move entirely. Again, a cost we had not choice but to pay, and again, a surprise. I assumed you would operate in the most efficient manor by putting them into crates then moving the crates, but instead your business model of choice induces multiple errors. There are multiple high-value items that the moving crew did not place on the inventory that did not get delivered. The two most high-value are:PlayStation and Dyson vaccum. Other items that were not delivered include:Table lamp, a crock pot, box of kitchen items, box of bathroom items, box of miscellaneous electronic items, complete set of Olympic weights, and bar, and kettlebell (45lbs). In addition to items not being delivered, there were multiple items that were delivered that did not belong to us. Set of four table chairs, clothes drying rack, broom, trunk-mount bicycle rack, tupperware drawer set full of items. It is not hard to see that these items were mis-delivered when the items were moved off the truck and into the warehouse and not separated/labeled properly. I do not have much hope for getting the items back because I have to assume they have been delivered to another address. I understand there is a claims process but that is no excuse.
