Watch out for the fees

Imagine hiring a babysitter through an agency for $20 / hour for your 9 month old baby. Once you’re out having fun (and have already paid a deposit), the babysitter calls to inform you that the baby has soiled himself, and it’ll be $5 to change the diaper (even though you have diapers) and $10 if there’s poop inside it. Furthermore, once it’s time to eat, they’ll charge separately for heating the meal you’ve already prepared, feeding the baby, and burping him. When you call the support line for the agency and argue that you’re paying them $20 / hour and it should be included, a customer service representative informs you its company policy, and their hands are tied. Moreso, somewhere deep in your contract, you’ve already agreed to this fee structure. Unfortunately because it’s your baby and you love him, you’re forced to pay these exorbitant fees, lest he go hungry, remain dirty, or choke. It’s not the customer service rep’s fault - heck, it’s not even the babysitter’s fault. It’s the company that set these rules. This sums up my experience dealing with Safe Ship moving. They tell you one thing and promise you peace of mind, but in the fine print, you’re going to pay a lot more. I'd prefer they just raise their rates so there's no surprises. Trying to work with customer service and various managers has been akin to trying to get a deaf, one-legged dog to clap - it’s impossible, and I feel stupid for having tried. They can’t hear you, can’t understand you, and even if they could, they can’t help you. I would rather attempt to teach a quadruple amputee sign language than to work with this company again. 2 out of 5 stars because my stuff still got delivered.

These guys are amazing. From start to finish, they took their time - PAID ATTENTION TO DETAILS and didn't get a single scratch on our expensive walnut furniture. We've moved sufficient times now and have always come across broken pieces or damaged furniture. Not with these guys. Highly recommended and they did a PHONOMENAL JOB !!

REALLY POLITE THE ENTIRE TIME

They helped me move from my studio to a one-bedroom. I was really worried because I had some big furniture that I built and didn't take apart before the move. But they managed to get everything done, tricky furniture and all, up a flight of stairs to my new place in less than three hours. They were REALLY POLITE THE ENTIRE TIME, even offering to carry the stuff I had brought in the car. I definitely recommend these guys!

These guys were on time professional and even brought a little humor to our move. Being a military family we've moved quite a bit and this was the EASIEST MOVE by far. My wife is eight months pregnant I couldn't have asked for a more successful easy move. Load, travel time and unload under 4 hours at reasonable cost. If we ever move again we will be using them again!

They were very clear about costs upfront and I got an email confirmation and a call the day before. Crew was awesome. They arrived early for the appointment. Coordinated with the business next to me to find close by parking as well! They were both FRIENDLY and VERY PROFESSIONAL. They managed to fit all my things in a small storage unit with room to spare. Highly suggested!!

These guys were great. They were SUPER RESPONSIVE on the phone, they showed up when they said they would, they completed the job in a reasonable amount of time, and the cost was not stellar. As far as moving companies go they were definitely the best event I have had. The two guys that they sent to move all my stuff were REALLY NICE and they worked hard. They were careful not to damage anything and they even arranged my furniture for me. They really did an awesome job. If you need some stuff moved, I can't recommend these guys enough. They are great!

NONSTOP UP AND DOWN

Highly suggested movers. They were DELIGHT to talk to and eased my mind when organize the move. They worked very fast, NONSTOP UP AND DOWN a flight of stairs in record time and never took a single break. They were professional and very polite. We had think out to move some things ourselves but they complete under two hours and offered to help more.

WORKED SUPER EFFICIENTLY

Crew arrived on time and WORKED SUPER EFFICIENTLY for my move last week. They were very responsive when communicating via text, they wrapped all my furniture securely, and the price was right too. One cheap piece of furniture kind of came apart - it's fixable, though, and that probably would have happened if I had moved myself. regardless, I'll definitely call them again for my next move.

This moving team was OUTSTANDING. They were able to schedule me in last minute when my original mover fell through. They were courteous, efficient and smart about packing and unloading their truck. I had a difficult move including wet porch furniture, extremely heavy objects and was moving from the 4th floor with no elevator. They had NO COMPLAINTS, just kept it moving and got everything to my new place safe and sound. I would highly recommend.
