Best Moving Experience Ever!

I am very sorry that it took me a while to come back and write this review for you guys but I have to say these men were just outstanding! I called around to a few different moving companies earlier in the year and then my moving date got changed so I put it off for a while. When I started back my search I was surprised to find out that all the moving companies I had called before in Chapel Hill were booked needless to say I began to panic I called all around Raleigh, Durham, I mean everywhere and all gave me the same answer, "We are booked up at the moment but we will call you if anything opens up." Sawyers did exactly this two days later and saved the day! They came into my old home and did a free walk-through and came back with a very affordable price for my move (I was even able to have them do some of my packing thanks to the Price that they gave me.) The day the movers showed up they got right to work and even made my day easier laughing and helping me cope with the stressful day! I know now that when I go to move again that I have to call much earlier than last time, but I know I will only be calling Sawyers for me or any of my families upcoming moves!

Great Move

This company delivered on their price quote and gave me a great move. Hard working guys fast and handled my furniture safe and secure!!

They were a little slow but were ...

We think they did a pretty good job. They were a little slow. They also didn't pack things as tightly as we've seen other movers do. But other than that, they were courteous and worked hard. They just packed our stuff into a van, they didn't pack the boxes.

I paid too much money for a small ...

They called me the day before around 7:00 to tell me their truck had broken down and could I do it another day ... I told them no, I had already had people at my house ... I told them I did not care if they rented a U-Haul truck, I just needed the stuff moved. It was a very easy move, I know I paid too much for it, but I needed it moved when I needed it moved ... The guy told me he would call me back and he never called me back. ...The guys that were there to move were very nice, very patient, but I would never use them again.

Just glad it's over! Horrible ...

I was told they would be at my house between 9-10. At 10:15 I had to call and find out where they were. The driver called me back and said they would be there at about 11. The original request was for two guys and the night before I changed it to three men. The movers were never notified that I changed it to three men - they had no idea that the move was to Carrboro either. The movers themselves were excellent but the way the company is run - lack of information for all their employees was ridiculous. There were four men that came - because they thought I only wanted two - so they could switch out in the heat. This meant that they had to drive another car with the truck - which hit a pot hole and blew out two tires - and had two of the guys in the car when this happened. The truck had to turn around (which was almost at my house) and go back to get the third man. We left my house in Goldsboro at 3:30 and I was at the new place by 5:00 - the truck didn't get there until 7:15pm - and they didn't get done until 10:15. Then I got the bill and got to talk to their boss at 11:00 pm - who then increased what it was supposed to be. Will use movers again - not from this company!

It was very good, they took care of my ...

It was very good. I liked how they took care of my furniture. They were there when they said they'd be, got done in the amount of time I thought they would.

They got it done in a day

It went well. They sent 2 gentlemen that were hard working. I think they may have underestimated the amount based on what I put in through the online quote form. They said for a job that big they would've normally sent 3 guys but nonetheless they got it done in a day. I had everything packed. As they were putting the stuff in the truck they wrapped it up. There were no items damaged but there were a few scratches on the wall as they were carrying things up, but it was nothing I probably wouldn't have done myself. They gave me a quote and obviously because no one came out to assess to give an estimate, it was within 2-3 hundred dollars but I would consider it an estimate that was reasonably accurate.

Everything the did was great

Everything the did was great. They were very hardworking. They were very particular, very careful. They took a lot of care with my possessions. They were just really, really good guys. Very nice, very polite. I couldn't have been more happy.

It went really smooth

It went really smooth. The guys were professional, they were nice, and they did a pretty good job. It ended in a timely fashion as well. They actually took an hour longer that what was initially estimated, which was fine because I kind of expected that. The price was fair. I did have one issue trying to pay for it because I didn't realize that they had an issue accepting credit cards. When we went to pay for it that's when I found out they preferred not to but they ended up ultimately doing it.

Their BBB Accreditation Was Revoked on ...

Do not use this mover. They are unreliable. Do not understand why they have been rated high on Angie's List.

STOLEN IDEMS

This company can to move me to Angier, when I wasn't looking one of thier people stole a Hand Gun. When I asked them about it. Of course they said they hadn't taken it. I really didn't excpet them to say they had taken it. I did think the manger I spook to would look into it. All he said was have the Police give him a call. I WOULD NOT use these thieves. They are not a honest and trust worthy company. THEY WILL STEAL.........

They did a good job

They did their job. [The pricing] was about the same as everybody else. They do a good job and they're efficient. Everything arrived good, nothing was broken and nothing was scratched.

Very friendly and efficient movers

They were very friendly and when I showed them everything I had to do, they had solutions to all of the problems, because we had a couple of things that had to be moved in a certain way and they knew how to do it, which was great. Also, I had to move a hot tub and I know that Two Men and a Truck said that they wouldn't move a hot tub and I wasn't sure about the other company I spoke to, but they helped me and they were very good. Their pricing was the best out of all the other companies and they were right on the mark, they didn't charge me anything extra.

Good service, fair price

They came here when they said they would. They were easy to work with. They had a reasonable price. I did receive all the services that I requested. Packing service was good. I would recommend them, if I knew people moving.

Not a good experience

We had a little bit of controversy. We asked for four people and two trucks and they sent five people. When I told them that I only wanted four people, they kept the fifth person there and at the end of the day, they had told them that I didn't want that and they were gonna pick the guy up and never did. So needless to say, they wanted me to pay for five people. I said no. There were a couple of damages to furniture and door frames which I haven't addressed yet.

On-time, prompt service

It was pretty good. They were on time. Price was fair. I received all the services that I requested. I'd have to think about recommending them because there was some damage here and there. We didn't use any packing and unpacking services .

Broke my stuff and damaged my house

The move was bad. First, at the time of the estimate, they said it would take around six or seven hours. Actually we used 10 hours because they did not give us a big enough truck, which they do have. So we ended up doing a second trip. It was two trips. So we used 10 hours. And also, during the move, they broke a couple of things. They made a 12-inch hole on the dry wall. It's a brand new house. They do not want to fix it. They say they will fix it, but later on I am still chasing them and they just have no response. I don't think they will fix it. They broke some of my pots. They gave me $150 but it is far less than what is needed. They broke some furniture. I am still trying to chase them but they just are not responding. I don't know if you can help me or not.

Trusted the reviews here...

I was looking for movers and trusted the reviews here. I didn't see very many negative ones compared to others, but unfortunately it wasn't a good experience for me. I even wrote to them, and didn't get any response... The movers themselves were fine, but the business side was extremely disappointing. I verified my information and date with them twice only to call the day of the move to verify it one more time (which I'm almost sure they forgot to schedule me with how they were acting), and then didn't even get the right services requested... I had asked for two movers every single time only to have THREE show up. The movers said they weren't allowed to move certain things, and that I'd have to do that on my own. I hired movers because I was moving on a week day and everyone that's helped me in the past was working and unable to help. I ended up having to spend almost $100 more because they failed to send the correct amount of movers, and even still it should have only been an extra $50, so please explain how I still ended up spending $50 more? On top of that, they informed me when they showed up that they only accepted cash. I was very misinformed about their services, which resulted in a 17 hour move day - two of which were spent with their help. I have bad knees, elbows, and ankles because of a connective tissue disorder, so it was extremely hard on me to do this. What's the point of hiring movers when their company refuses to move so many things?

Mediocre service

I think it was good. The move overall went well. I would say it was above average. The home was protected well. There was no damage inside the home. They took a little bit longer than I expected. I thought it was above average. What is surprising was the 20 percent gratuity which was not told to me before. So that was part of the contract. I only learned about it after people came - basically in the morning of the move. So that was a surprise. I think so I received all the services that I requested. Again, I think it was above average. The gratuity came as a surprise - the 20 percent mandatory gratuity which was not told to me before. So that itself was probably more of a surprise to me. Packing was done up to my satisfaction. There was one person who was outstanding and there were two other people who are almost average, other one was below average but there was one person who was outstanding through out.

It's not a pleasant experience

I was very upset wanted to call them and write them a letter and put some kind of thing on on the internet. First of all, in discussing it with the lady she never one time nor just the website say that they did not accept credit card. Then I find out three days before the move they don't accept the credit cards then my son has to go and get money order or to cashier's check to pay for the trucking thing, so I am highly upset about that because now it's too late and I can't call somebody else with this move have to be done right away, I tried and they said that no they can do it on Monday but he has to move on Saturday. And the other thing is there was some cold snap going through at that time in North Carolina ans the area. The truck that was coming to get his furniture kept breaking down on highway. They were supposed to be at 9.30 and they didn't get at there at closer to 12.30. He needed to what to happen is he needed to get back into the apartment he was moving to before the leasing office closed, so he could pay his deposit, so as to get his key and the truck on the way back from one location to the new location kept breaking on the highway again. He had to go ahead of the truck to make sure that he go into the leasing office before they getting closed on a Saturday. I think leasing office closing at 5pm. Anyway it was not a good experience. He said that the guys were worked hard but the staff that the company did not advertise on their website nor notable conversation all the emails that I exchanged with the lady that set up. All the times they wasn't mention that they didn't accept the credit cards and then we find out too late time to hire some one else for the job get the work done. They just put a big mess into everything. And then on the day of the move they send the truck that is defective and it is it late, causing him great deal of anxiety over getting back to get the key because they wasted the time of getting back and him not able to move his stuff into the home because leasing office was closed. So not happy with them. It was not the pleasant experience with the company. I am highly disappointed.

Would use them again

I love them and if I move again I will definitely call them. The prices were very good. The crew were wonderful. They were on time. They were great. I had everything packed and storage.

Experience was pretty good and movers ...

The experience was pretty good. I liked them was they were very personable, I was unable to be there much so they assisted my wife in lot other some other in extra packing, lessen the work for us. The staff members were fine and I had no problem with them. Yes, they were friendly and on-time. The estimate was .... I guess they took a lot more than expected for a one bedroom apartment. Yes packing was done up to my satisfaction. The only thing I would say is just make sure you always do your estimate on high end.

Service was good

It was good. I would just say that the cost wasn't too high. The estimate was close to the end price. The staff and the crew members were good even though they were 20 minutes late. Packing was done up to satisfaction.

The movers showed up on time and ...

They did a very good job. They were friendly, they showed upon time, they seem to care of my stuff. They had quoted me I think $95 and I think when they go there they said little higher but then I told them we agreed on this and they said that's okay, that's fine. The staff and crew members behavior is excellent. Yes, packing was done to satisfaction and yes they turned up with all packing material. I think they moved very efficiently because I paid them by hour and I really liked that way of paying. So, I would suggest and they were the only movers that quoted the move by hour and that's fine with them.

Average moving experience

It was okay and average. They were late and I wouldn't use them again. The movers were very friendly but they weren't very fast and they were a little bit careless and they just talk friendly. They were late and we have to contact them and they tried to reschedule us on the same day of the move. They tried to make us pay for an extra man because they were late and tried to make up for it. They weren't prepared for the move. The prices were reasonable but they charged by hours and they took a long time because they were late and they were tired. So, the guys were fine but they weren't fast.

I am impressed with their punctuality, ...

My recent move was a great experience. The movers were very punctual and worked very hard to finish the move in a short span of time. They were very polite and worked consistently without wasting any time. They didn't take any breaks and they were very careful while loading my stuff. They also have great prices and I would refer them to everyone I know.

Excellent service

We were very pleased with the people that came and moved us. They did everything that we asked. There was not any damage whatsoever. It was an excellent company to work with. The movers arrived on time. I did the packing. They did the heavy moving of all the heavy furniture. Everything was done in a timely and excellent manner.

I would definitely recommend them

I am more than just happy. I had a wonderful move. However, it would have been impossible without this moving company. The guys packed the things with their special equipments. My move was done efficiently by maintaining punctuality and professionalism. I am pleased with the move.

Typical moving experience

The company staff was very prompt and and professional. The guys who came to our place handled our things as they were in a hurry and they were mostly on cell phones which made our move late. Overall, it was an average experience.

Really An Easy Move

I still can't believe how easy and affordable it was. The young, energetic and hard-working team was indoor in time and packed everything completely in two hours, which is the time frame that they had promised initially. The guys were professional and polite. Overall, it was a proficient service done by them, which I liked.

It was not a good move

A couple of things went wrong. First, they damaged my ceramic set. When I talked to the owner about this a couple of days after the initial move, he assured me that he will send me a check amounting to $40. When I didn't receive the check, I again called him up this week on Monday to remind him. I have still yet to receive the check. So, I am not pleased. Also, I am not happy with the cost of the move. I feel that they have charged me more.

Prompt service, responsible crew

After searching and verifying various moving companies, I chose this company. The move went very well without any complaints. The moving crew was sensible enough to inform me about their late arrival. They were careful in handling my furniture. It seemed like a bit costly affair but I personally feel the entire experience was worth every penny spent.

Late movers lead to a bad move

The movers were originally scheduled to arrive at my place at around 2 in the afternoon on the moving date, but they didn't arrive until around 6 in the evening, which was much later than I had planned for. They were not prompt at all, and they didn't even consider compensating me for all of the lost time that was caused by their lateness. I would not hire this company again, they were very disappointing.

Courteous and efficient service

My wife picked this company and I was having doubts about how the move would go. To my surprise the movers came on time and packed and loaded our stuff very fast. Not only are they fast, but they are also very efficient and took care not to break anything. During the entire move the movers were very courteous and did not complain. Overall the move went smoothly and the services by far exceeded my expectations.
