I sent my car over to the UK and the shipment was excellent. Both Schumacher and their UK branch preformed exactly as I hoped. The only thing was that once I was in the UK, the time difference made it hard to contact my rep on the US side. Though the UK rep was communicative within the business hours for my time. Overall good job and would recommend to anyone.

Move back to NY

This summer my family moved back from France. Schumacher was our agent in the US and they handled the move back pretty well. Once my stuff arrived, they let me know and said to give them some time to schedule a delivery. It took them about a week to get this scheduled, then had it delivered a few days after that. When unpacking, they tried to go through the boxes with me, though it was all very fast. I confirmed all my items were there, then they left. All in all I would use them again, but would like more communication through the process.

Porsche to the UK

I shipped my 911 to the UK quite a few years ago. I ended up having to pay destination fees that I must have not remembered them telling me about, but that was okay as it was to customs rather than the company itself. Overall the staff was pretty good at staying in contact with me and letting me know what stage of the process I was it at the time. My car came in like I sent it, albeit with a little bit of dust. They did a great job, and I guess I might be lucky it wasn't like the service some of the other reviewers seemed to have.

Terrible Experience

Allow me to add one more voice to the chorus of horrible experiences with this company. Like the other reviews, they were totally uncommunicative through the entire process. At one point we were told we would be charged extra to have it shipped to our new home because it was a different address than they had been given. I emailed our Schumacher agent copies of the original invoice which clearly showed our address as being the final destination and asked that she write back and confirm that she received an email. After a week of not hearing anything, I called her to see if she had received my email. She said she had but she was not going to write me back because there was nothing to say. She was rude on the phone and spoke over me. Finally, I got a hold of the freight cashier who confirmed that we should not have been charged extra. Then we were told that we owed an extra $585 because our goods had been inspected in customs and we would not receive our shipment until we paid that money. There were no documents to verify that the shipment was sent to customs inspection and no way for us to see how the figure was arrived at. I emailed the freight cashier asking for these documents and have not heard back from her after more than two weeks. Furthermore, when we finally received our goods, all of the boxes were sealed and showed no signs of having been inspected. After paying our final invoice, we were told we would have the shippers contact us to arrange a delivery date within a few days. That process took closer to two weeks and we were given just 48 hours advance notice of a delivery between Friday and Sunday. I can't say enough about how bad our experience with this company has been. N

"LOST" THREE OUT OF 23 BOXES

I shipped 23 boxes of household goods with Schumacher from the US to the UK. They took several weeks longer than planned, charged me for extra checks and services not in the original quote twice and then lost three of my very large wardrobe boxes. They noticed the three boxes were missing two weeks before scheduled delivery to me and did not notify me. At the time of writing (three weeks later) they are still lost.

Stay away at all costs!

Scam artists ripped me off, then refused to deliver after I paid their ransom because of a dispute with another company (that they wouldn't even tell me about until I filed a complaint w/ the BBB

Perfect move done in a timely fashion

I am writing this on behalf of my friend who has hired this company to move her car and home. Everything was done within the appropriate amount of time. She usually is a very picky person but she talked about recommending them. That means they definitely must have done a good job.
