Some of my items were damaged and ...

The kids that they sent over worked their butts off. When they left and everything was said and done, I noticed that a lot of the stuff that they moved was damaged. Like they didn't take care in moving it. Things were scratched. The corner of my coffee table was broken off. They gauged the linoleum in the new place I moved into. I have sent in a claim and I have yet to hear back from them. Read more

Our glass table top was not delivered

They didn't unload a glass tabletop that was left in the truck in between some cardboard to protect it. When I reported it the next day that the glass tabletop was not delivered, they found it in the truck. It too over a week to try and get them to get it delivered. Then she calls up and tells me it was put in the warehouse and it got broke. Read more

They stole some things.

They were friendly, and pretty fast and efficient but they stole some things. I had a bookshelf that didn't easily fit in the living room so I said to put it in the bedroom, and they said it didn't fit in the bedroom and that they'd take care of it. Then someone else distracted me to talk about something else in the other room and I didn't realize it was gone. ... I was very disappointed, they seemed like nice people and I gave one of them a heavy machine for exercising that I couldn't even move and it was worth about $300 and even then they decided to steal things from me. They work hard, but they expect a ...

They hustled. They work hard. Just kinda towards the end...well, one thing I would think they should tell ahead of time, is that their sign-off sheet at the end basically tells you about leaving a gratuity. And I think you should know that ahead of time so that you can be prepared for it. Read more

All in all things went pretty good

We had packed everything up. They verbal quote was 50% off of what the actual weight was but I can't blame the movers for that because they only took information over the phone from me. One of the papers said that they had 1 to 21 days to deliver the product from the expected delivery date before they start paying me a penalty. I thought that was rather ridiculous. I finally got them to change it to 14 days. All in all things went pretty good. We packed our own belongings in boxes and everything. I wasn't real happy the way they were packing the boxes floor to ceiling and taking care of which ones were heavy and which ones were light. They were mushing them together. They unpacked them and put them in storage and repacked them again, everything was being handled 4 times and I felt that they wrapped up our belongings quite well, like the big furniture. Read more

Dishonest, unprofessional, nasty

Do not use Seaport or their parent company Jordan River. They hire their unloaders off of craigslist and do not collect any ID. My wallet and several small electronics were stolen and instead of acknowledging the mistake they made hiring a thief off of craigslist -- THEY BLAMED ME! Treated me horribly insinuating that I was the criminal and that I was lying. Horrible company. AVOID. Read more

Terrible, Unprofessional Movers

Do not use this company under any circumstances. What you need to know is that Seaport doesn't actually move your stuff. They outsource to people who will pick up your things, a driver who drives, and finally the driver (two steps removed) hires people at an abysmal hourly rate at the far end who unload. None of these people have ANY INCENTIVE to be careful with your property. The ones who picked up our things did not bother to label ANY of the boxes. They did not even keep hardware with the furniture they disassembled. They just threw everything into boxes as fast as they could, probably because they were paid a flat rate. Furniture was damaged. Our bikes were compressed at the bottom of the pile and will never be the same again. I know where our TV is, but have no idea where to find the cords, the remote, the VCR. There was no rhyme or reason, no order, to how they moved us. They don't care if you can actually use your things again. At the other end of our move (from Portland to Tucson), the people who were hired to unload the truck were stiffed by the driver, which understandably made them very angry. The result is that our furniture was never reassembled. Does Seaport care? Here's how you know the answer: they demand a cashiers check at the end, so you can't challenge the charge if you're not happy with the service. Experienced movers

My cousin gave us a few pieces of furniture and one of them was too heavy for us to move so we looked for a moving company to help. Since this was a small move we knew it wouldn't take long if we hired experienced movers. .I knew with the kind of crew that was sent across to us our move could not have taken any longer than an hour. They arrived before we did and unloaded everything and completely finished within an hour and that was good. Stressful to Stressfree Moving ...

The movers from SeaPort Moving and Storage were a decent lot. They made a pretty stressful day actually kinda fun and I thank their entire team from the customer service department to the foreman and the moving guys as I can't forget the best that they offered to us.and I'm pretty unorganized when it comes to things but I don't do it on a daily basis so when the actual day arrived I was not sure how and when the move would come to an end but with their systematic work approach. Helpful and Handy

The guys from SeaPort Moving and Storage came handy and helpful. They completed my move in just 3 hours, including the drive time and really hustled with it. Customer service is so important, and this company truly excels in this I had used them for quick move of my fridge, stove, other heavy items to garage during reflooring and then back again. These guys were great and also very careful with the items we had. With proper follow-up to make sure afterwards that I was satisfied with the service. Wouldn't use them again

They did not come very prepared. As I was walking the guy through the house he kept going oh, oh ! I told him how many square feet it was and it was overwhelming to him. It took a long time. Then when we got to the new house they had to bring on a fourth guy just so we could get done before daylight ended. It costed about three times more than it should have. So I wasn't thrilled. No, the price was way more than I thought it would be. I guess so I received all the services that I requested. I did my own packing but they wrapped everything. I wouldn't use them again. Read more

It was a good experience. The quality was very good, they were very professional, they were very quick. They covered everything that we had to move and uncovered make sure to put it where I wanted it. Tthey did everything I asked them and more actually, so I am happy with them. The prices were reasonable. No damages to my stuff. I would say that anybody looking to move local or extended within their service area, I would highly recommend them. very professional, very quick and they took care of your belongings, no matter what they are, they also experienced in moving sensible electronics safely and like flat screen TV’s and that and I am very with them.
