I have read people complaining about how bad their movers were. I hired Sharp van lines for my move and luckily they were nothing like other moving companies. The men they sent were just so methodical in their job. They had no issues during the pacing and loading process. When all my belongings were delivered, none of them were damaged or lost. I suppose, all those stories about moving companies don’t apply to this particular one. I will surely hire them again as I move around every other year.

I have faith in them

I have hired Sharp van lines several times now. I always go back to them when I have to relocate because they are just amazingly reliable. They have relocated my valuables 3 times now and they are yet to damage anything. That is a damn good achievement! It does help when they charge me such low prices for the amazing movers they keep sending. Each crew I have worked with has amazed me with their skills and efficiency. I gathered that they were really well trained by the company or they had too much experience. They were very creative while they packed all my belongings. The loading process went very smoothly as well. They delivered my goods on time in great condition. I wonder why I hadn’t hired them before!

Pay more on the front to avoid a scam

My experience with Sharp Van Lines was profoundly exasperating. I had a three-day move (move out - store - deliver) that needed to be done early due to cleaners prepping my house for the new owner. They sent Mike Capiello,a traveling salesman,to estimate the move. Despite getting various estimates,I chose them for their lower quote—big mistake. The promised move time shortly after 7 AM turned into a waiting game as they arrived past 9 AM. While lateness can happen,the lack of professionalism in not communicating delays was frustrating. I had to call for updates and found out they were much farther away than initially claimed. To compensate for lost time,I moved my boxes to the yard and garage. The situation worsened when it took them an additional hour to locate my address,forcing me to guide them. Upon arrival,they insisted on adding an extra worker at a higher cost for efficiency,despite the agreement for a flat rate. Unfortunately,this led to an exorbitant cost escalation,surpassing the initial quote by over $800. An unexpected and demanding call pushed for a deposit not previously discussed. Despite coordinating in advance due to moving my daughter to college,they expected me to miss the moment,drive back,and pay cash before delivery—a communication failure. I contacted Mike Capiello,who assured me he'd handle it. Surprisingly,the situation escalated. After the crew's assurance,I received evasive texts from Mike,then an abrupt demand for the deposit. The dispatcher escalated the chaos with a heated call,screaming and threatening to abandon my possessions on the street before hanging up. Alex,the manager,eventually called and allowed a Zelle payment. With that resolved and my day effectively ruined due to arguing,we move on to delivery. It started off better as they arrived on time,but as soon as they got out of the truck,the nonsense continued. They asked for a tip before unloading the truck. Moreover,the tried to haggled after they didn't like my tip,which in hindsight should have been nothing,considering they had already robbed me and stolen beverages during the move. Their insistence on cash for such a substantial job may be an attempt to prevent charge reversals later. Despite an initial estimate of $2010,the final charge soared to around $2900 due to the extra worker (on a flat rate job,charged for 12 hours despite 3 hours to remove and 1.25 hours to deliver). Ultimately,my misplaced trust in their demands was profoundly disappointing. The unprofessional behavior of Mike and the dispatcher,lateness,shakedown,and lack of professionalism transformed what should have been a smooth transition into a frustrating experience. Exercise caution when considering their services and prepare for unexpected charges,communication breakdowns,and a lack of respect for your intelligence. The stress of having to move was giving me nightmares. Thank god for the good people from Sharp van lines who made my move so easy! The movers were very capable and friendly. They packed up my whole apartment so fast. Not only were they fast, but they were thorough too. They finished the job so efficiently. They really were the break I needed while dealing with the stress of relocation. All my belongings were delivered safely and I just couldn’t be more thankful to these guys. They displayed amazing skills in packing everything and loading them onto the van. The whole process took just 2 hours. I was so glad to see how fast they were since I was paying them hourly. Sharp van lines didn’t give me the lowest quote but they provided amazing value for the money I paid. I was well aware that the delivery might take a while since they had to cover a long way. But they delivered right on time. The credit really goes to the movers. They maintained the schedule throughout. Their packing skills were amazing and I was blown away by how easily they carried everything. It really was a mighty effort by the boys. All my belongings were transported in great condition. They even unpacked everything and put them in place. This level of efficiency is so rare these days.

Sharp van lines had been hiring vans and running the business in the past. But during my last move with them, I found out that the company has finally bought their own fleet of vans. The van I got was really a showstopper. I asked around and all their brand new vans are state-of-the-art. The company itself has always been amazing. They priced their services quite reasonably and always took good care of my belongings. But their new fleet is just the cherry on the cake. I just can’t find a reason for not hiring them anymore.

They were an absolute treat while they handled my move. They arrived on time, were very creative in packing and carried everything with ease. They worked a very good system of packing everything first, then carrying out the furniture and then loading them onto the vans. It was a very effective and efficient system; I think it saved me a lot of money. I highly applaud these guys for being so efficient.

They are too good!

I didn’t have a lot of things to move. What I had was one hell of a tiny apartment with a tinier staircase. I didn’t know how it was possible to get my things out through that hole in the door. So I hired Sharp van lines which promised to get my furniture in one piece out of my apartment. And they did, I can never figure out how they managed to do it though.
