Deceitful, Unprofessional

The title is self explanatory. Beware of the scams this company is pulling on everyone !! A binding price is agreed upon, then they pile up the charges upon arrival. Even after confronting them with the original agreed upon contract, all items listed, they still pile on the charges. Even the movers know that Dave and his cronies are deceiving the people. After our household items were promised to be delivered July 1st, a Wednesday, they were not. Numerous calls were made to Dave in an attempt to locate our items, there was no response to any of our calls or texts. They delivered the items on a Sunday, 5 days after the actual delivery date with a bunch of excuses. We finally got a hold of Dave who was rude and very disrespectful, full of excuses and threatened to put our items in storage if we didn't give the movers a cashiers check, ON A SUNDAY, when all the banks are closed !! We told him, had he answered our calls and communicated with us earlier, we would have been prepared with a cashiers check !! The movers were good guys, but agreed that the company was at best lying to people just to get their business. I strongly encourage people to stay away from this company at all costs !! Beware of their scams and unprofessional trashy behavior !!

DECEITFUL LYING EMPLOYEES

SO I SCHEDULED A MOVING JOB WITH THIS COMPANY, SPOKE WITH A SALES REP NAME CHRISTOPHER, HE QUOTES ME 950, WITH TAXES 1047, WELL WHEN THE MOVERS ARRIVED, THE TRUCK WAS SPRAY PAINTED ON, THEY WERE NOT IN UNIFORM, CLOTHES WERE SAGGING I CAN SEE BOXER DRAWS AND BUTT CRACK. A GUY BY THE NAME.OF STEPHON ENTERED MY HOME WITH A BAD ATTITUDE FROM THE BEING, HE DIDNT GREET ME, HE LITTERLY LET ME KNOW HE WAS AGGRAVATED, HE STATED A BIG ARGUMENT IN FRONT OF ME WITH ANOTHER GUY THAT WAS WORKING WITH HIM, CURSING, TELLING THE GUY HE MOVING SLOW, AND HURRY THE FUCK UP, SO I SAY TO STEPHON "WHY YOU HAVE A ATTITUDE" HIS RESPONSE, WAS HE FROM QUEENS NEW YORK, THEIR CUT DIFFERENT, I SAID TO HIM, WELL YOU'RE IN MY HOUSE TO SHAPE THE ATTITUDE UP, HE KEPT GOING BACK AND FOURTH ARGUING WITH ANOTHER GENTLEMAN WHOM WAS PLEASENT AND POLITE, THE WHOLE TIME TO ME, AT THE END OF PACKING YM THINGS, HE TELL ME I OWE 2200, I SAID OHH NO I DONT, I WAS QUOTED 1047....HE SAID WELL IM JUST PUTTING DOWN THE CHARGE, I TRIED REACHING OUT TO CHRISTOPHER THE GUY WHO QUOTED ME THE RATE, HE NEVER RETURNED MY CALL, NOR TEXT MESSAGES, I SPOKE TO SOPHIA WHO WAS ARGUING WITH ME ABOUT HOW I SHOULD AND SHOULDN'T FEEL ABOUT THE SHITTY CUSTOMER SERVICE AND DECEITFULNESS OF THE RATE THAT WAS HANDED TO ME AT THE END OF EVERYTHING, I SOPKE TO DAVID WHO IS A NICE GUY, HE OFFERED TO TAKE 500 OFF, BUT AT THE END OF THE DAY, 2200 WAS NOT THE PRICE I WAS QUOTED. WHATEVER YOU DO PEOPLE, STAY AWAY, OR YOUR WILL HAVE A BAD MOVING EXPERIENCE, TRUST MY WORDS...ALL I CAN SAY IS NEVER EVER AGAIN, AND I WILL MAKE SURE EVERY MILITARY BUDDY IS AWARE OF THIS COMPANY, SO WHEN CHOOSING A MOVING COMPANY THEY ARE AWARE TO STAY AWAY. Awful service by Soft Touch Van Lines

Soft touch van lines is the most UNPROFESSIONAL and CHEATER company. I would not recommend anyone using their services at all.David Caplin is a liar and very rude and very unprofessional. We recently used their services after reading the reviews but are very very unsatisfied and upset.David gave us a quote but when they came to pick the package they charged us double the amount after loading all the boxes when we disagreed they told they will charge $1000 to unload.We had asked quote for 45 boxes and when they came to pick we had only 30 boxes to give assuming we would be charged less but they charged us double the amount. Sophia was also very rude. They stole our boxes and when we called them to inform,Sophia spoke very rudely and kept disconnecting. Please don't use their services how much ever low prices they offer. I don't wish to give them even 1 star they dont deserve it. LIARSssss

Soft Touch Van Line = Magic Van Lines = Magic 1 Van Lines!! BEWARE!!!!!!! The physical addresses are bogus. There are no trucks or warehouse or staff available, just offices. The address for Magic 1 Van Lines is actually a home in Fresh Meadows Queens where an Edna Seltzer resides, who just happens to have written a 5 star review on Magic Van Lines page!!! This is one deep rabbit hole of deceptive business practices and outright lies. Sophia was called Monica by David Kaplan during a conversation with me, and Monica is referred to all over the Magic Van Lines page for being completely rude and unprofessional. This is a scam being run by truly despicable people. You will be lured with a great deal and then price gouged once your things are out of your possession. My things were picked up on 12/22/19 and my binding estimate of $1387 rose to $4600. I had less items than originally included in my binding estimate so I threatened to cancel on the spot but was assured by David Kaplan that he would personally take a look at my things once they got to "the warehouse". On 12/26/19 the price was "lowered" to $4000 with a vague explanation as to the cubic feet. I tried to cancel with numerous emails, phone calls and texts only to be ignored. When David Kaplan finally got back to me on 12/27/19 it was "too late" since my things had miraculously already shipped. I have requested proof that my things are in transit and in a phone conversation Kaplan said he would get back to me with the location of my things and he did not. I went to my local precinct and even though the police can't get involved the seargant was kind enough to call and ask about the location of my things. Sophia/Monica answered and only answer that we could get was that my things are in transit and they don't provide tracking. I have moved numerous times for work and have never encountered anything like this. To actually see scam artists at work and uncover the layers of lies is truly shocking and disheartening. The moving industry needs to be better regulated and have more oversight. All I can do is hope and pray that my things are delivered without any theft, loss, or damage.

Lies lies lies

Where do I start. I was quoted 1300. When the truck arrived the price jumped to 2900. We didn't get an inventory bill, the weight, the cubic footage or bill of lading untill more than a week later. I had to constantly call and request a inventory list. Everyone from Sophia, David and Rachel was extremely rude and unprofessional. My shipment arrived late with broken and missing items. A couple boxes filled with unopened wedding gifts was "missing." I am contacting the FMCSA, the better business bureau and my local FMCSA office to report them for weight bumping, "missing items" and illegal business practices. They conveniently forgot my tvs and then gave me a hard time when I asked to add them to the inventory list. They knew I couldn't accept my delivery on a Sunday and purposly scheduled it to arrvide Sunday morning at 6am.They tried to hit me up for storage fees and told me if I couldn't take my shipment on Sunday they had no idea when it would be shipped out and tried to charge me 500 for storage. Their reviews on their website are clearly fake. You gotta call the FMCSA and hear what they had to say about this company. This seems like one big scam. I believe this company used to operate under Schneider Moving and Storage. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND this company. If you want your items delivered on time, not broken and missing DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They took advantage of a newly married pregnant couple. Don't listen to any response they post. As you can see from other reviews I believe they're liars, theives and scam artists. This post was made with my opinion.

Not at all professional

Never dealt with so much of unprofessional-ism. They agreed on a pick up date, and did not stick to it, and delayed the pick-up suddenly by one day, that too postponing by calling just a day before the pickup date (due to which I have to postpone other plans). The inventory made while loading the truck was awful. None of the item counts were correct. The drivers while picking up and drop off both were rude, they both have so much of attitude as if they were trying to hide something. The office staff forgot to deduct the initial booking amount, in spite of reminding about it, they did not pay attention to it while final billing. The driver while unloading, rudely insisted to pay the balance money first, even before unloading the truck. After unload, one of our big box is missing, and on top of that somebody's else box was delivered to us. After calling the head office, nobody is assuring about the missing box (not even the driver). They all are behaving as if this is perfectly normal and easily pointing to insurance claim (without paying much attention to search the truck and warehouse). The only good thing was that the truck arrived in 4 days.
