The worst moving company. A nightmare.

This was the worst company I have ever dealt with and provided the worst moving experience I've ever had, and I have moved many times. I entrusted them with my furniture and unfortunately some treasured photos and letters. The salesman lied to me to get my business and had left or been fired by the time my stuff was supposed to be delivered. After making numerous calls and sending faxes and being on hold for hours, I was told that my furniture was on its way--nearly a month late. They gave the wrong trailer to the driver who had my account information, so my things were still back in California. When the delivery was finally made, the driver said he didn't want to drive his truck into my condo complex (there was plenty of room) and wouldn't deliver my belongings unless I paid him an extra $300 cash (I had been assured that delivery of furniture into my place was part of the contract). This company had lost a couch, a futon, a reclining chair, damaged lamps, and lost treasured photos going back to my childhood. The salesman had told me that his company had its own equipment, but it only has trailers and has to contract with god knows who to haul it with their tractors. The truck in which my stuff was delivered was in such disarray that the driver couldn't find where most of the stuff was. He was horrible and the company was horrible. And their offer to reimburse me for my thousands of dollars in losses (plus the furniture I had to rent because they were a month late)..$74. Don't ever use SPEEDY MOVERS. They are dishonest and disorganized.

One third of my stuff was damaged.

About 1/3 of our stuff was damaged as some point. They didn't handle things well, when they boxed stuff up it wasn't done well enough for it not to break. They didn't communicate in terms of where they were or when we could expect things.

Nasty customer service.

Things happen, I get it. Trucks break down, that's understandable. ... but the nastiness of this woman in customer service is what caused things to go spiraling downwards.

I would never use them again!

They had no customer service and when we needed information they hemmed and hawed and got very defensive and actually ruined the whole move because they wouldn't give us a call back when we needed information about when the movers would be there. We had a different person every time we talked to,there was not one person following through for us through the whole move. We had to explain it every time we talked with them. ...

One of the most stressful and horrific ...

My pick up was scheduled for the 4th between 2 and 6 - I got a call at 4 o'clock in the afternoon saying ti was too late to come pick up my house. So they said they would be there the next day between 8 and 9. They never showed up until 10:30. My closing was that afternoon at 3 o'clock and when they got there they assured me that they would be gone before I had to leave for my closing. That didn't happen-I actually had to leave for my closing and have them shut down my house. I didn't even know if they had all my things on the truck or not. It was one of the most stressful and horrific experiences that I've ever had.

They showed up early.

When they gave me a call for 24 hours out, they actually showed up that night. So, they were ahead of what they predicted. ... They had everything perfect [with no damage].

They're a hoax moving company

They're a hoax moving company. You can just go on Facebook, look them up and see what people have said. They just lie to people, it's a scam, basically. What happened was I requested a date to move, which was the 22nd of December. And they did not book me... they're basically a broker, they're not a moving company. They contract with, like, movers. They contracted with the movers on the 23rd, not on the 22nd, but they didn't tell me that. Then they tell you there's 48 hours just in case they don't come and this... so I was home and getting ready to move on the 22nd, they didn't show up... The movers called me on the 22nd to confirm the 23rd and I said, "No, I've been waiting for... here to move on the 22nd." And they said, "No we were initially booked the 23rd and that's when we could move you because we didn't have any vacancies." So what they do, they book you up according to the schedule and then they just scam it.This is what happens. So I lost my furniture, I had to sell my furniture on a minute's notice. And it was terrible. And they even did not want to return the...10 percent deposit. And I'm fighting that with my credit card company.

It was a terrible experience and I ...

Well, the stuff got here mostly intact and everything was fine with that, but I would never recommend the moving company that I used. They never returned any of my phone calls, they never answered the phone. I literally had no idea what was going on with my stuff, when they were going to pick it up. It was an absolute nightmare and I would never use them again and never recommend them. Well, they quoted me a better price but then, of course it went up.They added in little things here and there, like tape usage and stuff like that and so it ended up being about average. There was some minor damage to a couple of things but nothing I wouldn't expect from a typical move. Just for example I called and made the agreement and put down my deposit and couldn't reach them for four days after that. I left numerous messages, they didn't return any phone calls. And then they changed the date of pickup and whenever they called me to say, hey, we'll be there in 30 minutes, I was a two hour drive away in another state visiting family. And then I had to just drop everything and drive two hours to get back there so that they could pick up the stuff. I mean, zero notice, zero communication. It was a terrible experience and I would never use them again.

My belongings still have not left ...

I actually have not received my furniture yet. I just got a call today telling me that my furniture was loaded today in the truck from Houston. I have actually contacted the company before (last week for example) and they told me my furniture would be loaded last week. But apparently, I don't know what happened, miscommunication in the company? As far as I'm concerned, as far as I know right now it has not left Houston yet. And I also had a problem with the pick up because they told me they would be there on a specific date, apparently there was a problem with the truck, like the breaks were not working, and they didn't show up that specific date. So I had to stay one day longer in the apartment and I was supposed to return the keys to my landlord that day. It's a confusion.

Great Company, Speak with Chelsea!

I spoke with my relocation specialist, Chelsea. She was helpful from start to end informing me about all the information I would need to know. When the movers arrived they were on time and helpful. My move went great and I recommend speaking with Chelsea if anyone will be doing business with this company!

Crew is fine, but their timing is bad!

There was no hassle with them

The move was good. We called them and they were really nice. The guy who came to pick up the stuff was wonderful. They did pack some of the stuff but not whole boxes and everything, we had done that. There was no hassle with them.

Not professional!

When I first gave the items there was some miscommunication about the size of the washer and dryer and a grill. And when I tried to get explanation on what the change was -- they were very rude and would not work with me at all. Certainly, I expected to pay a little more because I added a chair and a few other items, but really the dispute was about the washer and dryer. When I was given the walk-through, it really was a bad experience and when I tried to talk to someone either they would not return my calls when I asked to speak to a service manager, a sales manager or either they would call and put me on hold and they would not return the call, really it was not professional, I would not recommend them!

You guys did a terrible job

They lost my dresser, $300 dresser. They lost a box of my books, which I collect, so I'd value that at about 300 to 400 bucks as well. When I tried to call them, they made me file a claim online. I haven't heard back. It's been a month. I haven't heard a single thing. I'm probably at 600 bucks and I don't expect to get the money back.
