Spyder Moving is one of the best moving company to move your belongings. They work with such care and efficiency that is hard to find nowadays. Highly recommend them to use for all moving needs!

Warning - use someone else!

Please take my advice. Use a different moving company. The hourly rate was very competitive ($170/hr) so I chose this moving company. I made a serious mistake. It took them 8 hours to move a 1 person residence (just myself) 5 minutes down the road. My nightmare started when I noticed a mysterious withdrawal in my checking account a few days after the move. One of the movers had taken my checkbook out of my bedside hutch and fraudulently written a check. I spent endless hours the week following closing bank accounts, moving direct deposits and automatic payments, and getting new debit cards. I entrusted this moving company to enter my home and safely move me, and they sent this criminal to my home that stole money from my checking account. I am still in the process of getting these accounts and payments corrected 3 weeks later. I promise you that other moving companies may be $10-$20 more an hour, but it will be worth it to avoid what I have gone through. Please learn from my mistake and chose someone else.

Excellent

The movers arrived promptly and ready to take on every task that we had waiting for them. Moving is so stressful but I can say without question that these guys made it go more smoothly than I could ever have expected. I wholeheartedly recommend Spyder Moving Services. We've moved so many times and this was by far the best experience due to this company's efforts.

Horrible move-believe the reviews

I am speaking from my personal experience with this company. I would give this company zero stars if I could. You need to read the contract thoroughly. Do not believe anything the owner say because the owner will not honor anything they say. My moving experience was a complete nightmare. In my experience, I feel the owner took money from me and did not deliver on services, which is against the law. Plus they charge your credit card prior to the move date. He did not provide me with the contract stating that I only have a few days if they damage my property. When I asked for it, the owner never provided it. In my opinion this is a shady business. Hire a professional moving company that will be honest and take care of your property. I have a broken item and there are probably more. The actual movers started off okay but ended up bad even after a good tip for all three of them. They packed my items horribly inside my storage which resulted in me having to get two storages. Again, stay away from this moving company and hire professionals. In my opinion no one that works for this company is. In my experience I feel they will scam you.

I moved from my townhouse in Oxford to North Carolina for a position in my field,finally! I was super stressed about finding a company to help because of the move being so big. I was recommended to this company by a friend and everything went super smooth! Beyond happy with my decision. I am unsure of the cost,it was a gift from my parents.

But this $75 isn't really a deposit; it's an extra charge that Vlad decided to keep. This isn't an "awful" estimate. It's a dishonest estimate. Also like the other Yelp reviewers, Vlad will promise to make it right, then quit taking your phone calls. I disputed this $75 charge with my CC Company. Spyder sent in a copy of the document where I signed off on the completed work (which I now have) and the times for arrival and completion. Now the charges showed a total of $315, not the $240 for the two-hour minimum -this information was added to the paperwork after the paperwork was back at the office and after I had signed it. THERE IS NO WAY ANYONE WOULD AGREE TO $315 FOR ONE HOUR OF LABOR FROM TWO PEOPLE. A two-hour minimum is certainly expected, but not an extra $75 for Vlad to answer the phone, all the while calling it a "deposit." A deposit, like a retainer, is an advance on the services to be provided, not an extra charge. But wait! There's more! I hired a professional moving service because I wanted the work done quickly by people where were good at what they do. What I got was a mechanic friend of Vlad (the owner) who was called at the last minute, and the friend's early-20s son who was hungover from partying all night. Not what you'd expect for $120 per hour and three weeks advance notice. So instead of me not destroying my damaged back, I was still stuck in the middle of the truck loading. I don't blame the guy, he was helping get Vlad out of a jam. I blame Vlad for poorly running his business, then dishonestly keeping my money. This dispute is still ongoing, and I am now responding to Visa about the incorrect information Vlad has submitted.

Think twice

This is my experience with Spyder Moving for anybody else who might be considering hiring them, I wish I would have known beforehand... We called them and Vlad the owner came to give us a quote in person. He came and looked at everything and told us $1,700, 3 hours to load. The agreement was to load everything on the truck, leave it there for 2 days and then drive down to Florence/Brandon MS area (just under 3hrs away from Oxford), then unload. He was supposed to be arrive at 8:00 a.m., then he rescheduled for 12 because he had to finish a job from the day before. Then they still didn't get there until around 1 and started at 1:20. It put us in a huge bind with the cleaners and they had to clean around them. They never told me I had to stay there. I had 4 cranky kids who needed to get to the hotel to sleep and his movers told me I could leave. My cleaners were my neighbors and they were my eyes and ears so I wasnt too worried. My neighbors said they were dropping dressers, clothes fell out, dropping boxes, was not careful all around! Then next thing I know they're unloading everything into a storage unit wthout me or anyone there!!! Who knows how my stuff was handled! That was never discussed, I found out by a call while they were already unloading it into a storage unit! Vlad said they have to have a second truck because it was more boxes than he thought (even though he came out and looked at everything) so he changed the price to 'discounted' $2,800. My husbands work was paying for the move and only approved the 1st amount. We had no choice as he already had our stuff. Day of move he said they got everything moved into one truck but had to still charge a little extra for an extra mover. (Charged $2,500... $800 extra for 2 movers) The unloadeders were 4 high school students. They were sweet and hard workers for sure, but unsupervised. And an hour late. Turns out to get everything into 1 truck Vlad and his loader guys took my metal garage shelf and patio canopy swing apart. Again, without me being there while they were doing any of this. The shelf and swing are completely ruined and unusable because they lost pieces and and the poles are bent very badly. The damage insurance is garbage. He won't cover anything you packed yourself cause he didnt pack it. And over the phone he told me if a dresser is damaged then you get $60. (Or .60c per pound of the item). My husband posted a review on yelp because Vlad went silent when it came to offering for compensation for my damaged and missing stuff. He offered a "generous" $55 for the lost, broken, and damaged items. The asked for my husband to take down the post and leave 5 stars and no context.... In all, things were lost, multiple things damaged and broken, the workers were late, we were over charged and out of money in hard times, and he is an owner trying to take advantage of hard working people.

ABSOLUTELY LOVED!

I had a phenomenal move with Spyder Moving Services. I moved from a condo,into a three bedroom house. I was expecting a much longer time frame,and this team blew my mind with how quick they were able to get this move done. Very great,went above in beyond for me in all aspects.
