Bad attitude

The quoted price was not bad but be prepared to tip big. I wasn't. I had to practically chase down these people to confirm the date the night before, even though I had booked my move months in advance. The movers arrived on time and did an excellent job of carefully loading our stuff on to the truck but that is where the good ends. I was given paperwork to fill out and part of that was their tip. I was not an experienced mover so maybe I was naive about the tip. I wrote in $60 fot the tip. Well after they saw that, their attitude changes. They took more that 2 hours to get to my new place which only should have taken about 45 minutes. They carelessly unloaded the truck and didn't care where they put anything. They broke at least 4 mugs and chipped my family heirloom marble top table in several places. I did not know why their attitude had changed and why it was so bad. There were many items that they had taken apart to put on the truck that they did not put back together. I had carefully labeled boxes with what room they shouold go in and if they were fragile but they didn't seem to notice or care. 2 of the movers claimed to not speak English. When they were "finished" and my signature was needed, I was asked if "all" I intended to tip was $60. I asked them what they usually got for a tip and he said it was more like $150. I changed my tip to $150 but have been sorry ever since. I did not realize how much damage they had caused to my belongings and that they did not reassemble intems that they had taken apart. These are my major complaints: 1. that they didn't call to confirm the day before. 2. That I wasn' t advised of the expected gratuity. Not everyone is from NYC or experienced with moving. 3. That the movers attitiude was so poor because they didn't like my tip. 4. That they cried for a bigger tip and that I gave it to them even though they didn't deserve it. 5. That some of my items were damaged because of their poor attitude. Read more

On the day of the move ... Before the scheduled arrival time I was informed by the company that the tires on the van had been slashed so my move was behind. I ended up paying a $400 fine for moving in too late. Read more

Tried to curse me out!

The guys came to my house and tried to curse me out because they said I had more stuff at my house than I originally listed. The dispatcher told me... they have to pick it up. They had a big truck and they didn't want to touch anything! Read more

The representative called before the move to make sure I had everything in order so everything would go smoothly. the morning of the move they arrived on time and began packing, everything was secured and wrap safely before placing in the truck. When they arrive at their destination they first came inside to see where they should place the furniture. Anything that was disassembled was reassembled nothing was broken to make a long story short they put my mind at ease. It worked out well

It was alright. The guy that I dealt on the phone was very good. He was very nice. We did find they scratched some of our floors and apparently floors are not included in the insurance. It's only like if they damage your stuff that they're actually moving. They did damage one of our tables and he was very nice and he gave me all the information if I wanted to make a claim. Which I never ended up doing because it was too much of a hassle and it wasn't a lot of money. They were really nice, they were pretty punctual, and they worked with us. We ended up working out a deal with them to pay a little bit more to do some new services and then they gave us a discount on that because we referred somebody else to them, so it worked out well. Everything was good, but my TV was ...

Everything was good, only thing my TV stand and my TV got broken. That was the only issue when they finally gave us the stuff in Georgia. My TV was broken from the side, but everything else was fine. They were nice. Read more
