Absolutely the worst moving company ...

Absolutely horrible moving company. Save yourself the massive headache and hassle, and spare your furniture from massive damage. I had originally used them for a long distance move which went great. So I decided to hire them again for 2 additional moves, one long distance and one within the same city. The first move was a disaster, the movers massively damaged my entertainment center to the point that it was falling apart. This was a solid wood entertainment center, not some flimsily particle board stuff. Lots of boxes were damaged and they couldn’t even fit everything in despite actually having less furniture this time around then the first move I originally had with them. So I was forced to pay for a Uhual on top of all the other moving fees. By the end of it I just wanted to go home and be done with the move after 12 hours. The company then proceeded to charge me the full amount of the move despite me paying the deposit and only got a partial refund of it. They seem to contract out the actual movers. The company really wants to take no responsibility for anything at all, whether it’s damaged furniture or a really bad moving experience. The second move was just as bad. They refused to assemble any of the furniture and the Apartment Movers didn’t inform the movers that I only needed them for 3 hours instead of 4. The movers argued with me for 20 minutes until I finally agreed to do the 4 hours. The move took 3 hours and 20 minutes. It literally cost me $120 more because the Apt movers didn’t communicate with the movers and the movers could have been done in 3 hours. This is hands down the worst moving company to use. Don’t use them, you will severely come to regret their service and the amount of damage they will cause on your furniture. I wish I could give them zero stars.

Worst company to exist!!!

This company is horrible and deceiving liars and theives. When I called in to get quote I had Cynthia as my advisor. She seemed very nice and made me believe I had made the best choice.. That was the first lie I told her a had a baby grand piano I got from my grandmother when she passed away and I also had a gun safe in my one bedroom townhome. She told me I would only pay $200 for the entire move including those items. The day of the move I get two movers with a trailer after being told they would come in a truck with lift gate for the piano. This did not make any sense so I called Cynthia to ask her what had gone wrong? She then acted like an uneducated unprofessional rude and ghetto person and was screaming at me saying I get what I paid for, I told her that she told me it was $200 for everything I had she then denied ever telling me that and told me my move would then cost $2000 and I told her she could not do that and she had to honor the price we agreed to she continued to act like an animal yelling and saying rude remarks like If I didn't have the money to pay to not call for movers I was very upset and asked to speak to the manager and she told me the manager was going to say the same thing. I told her it was fine to please put them on the line, with out letting me explain the owner Niles Johnson got on the line screaming saying I had to pay $2000 or they were not going to let the movers give me my stuff and by this time they had already loaded half of my stuff. I told her that her employee had gave me this price and that they only sent me a trailer and she said she did not care and that she was going to ask the movers to take my stuff and not return it until I gave her the amount she was requesting!!! At this point I was so scared I felt like I was in a hostage situation and I went to bank to get out amount. Then the movers didn't even move the other half of my stuff and they broke my piano!! When I called them to tell them the lady Niles said she would only pay $50 and I made a bad review on Google and owner called and told me she would pay me $300 to remove my review I told her no the whole world needs to know how evil they are. Please stay away they seem nice at first then they become a nightmare the seem like mafia ghetto people. They will steal your belongings aND charge way more than told.

The owner/manager gave me a long speech how the apt movers were the best! This was so far from the truth! They moved me in July 2014 into my new home. they literally damaged 5 pieces of furniture that had been in mint condition. They lost screws that made it impossible to attach mirror, to dresser, attach boards that go under box springs..lost pieces off my grandfather clock, missing a brand new expensive food processor still in the box..at the end I was left with with once beautiful furniture that looked like pieces that belonged in a dumpster..I got an estimate which came out to $678..apt movers paid only $345..they said they pay 60 cents a lb. based on military weight.. now i am stuck with awful furniture..the apt movers continues to make hand over fist with no regard to damage because they know rje money pais on a xlaim ia pennies on the dollar .please shop around..i now havw a huve bubble roll and two shrink wrap sitting in my house..the movers dism't wrap anything except my couch..does that make sense? I was moving a 3bedroom home...i had 2 26-ft trucka and was left with a garage full of stuff...they r the worst! Everything I was told by Nils (owner/manager) was a lie. She should be ashamed..especially after all the damage done on my furniture, shorring me on money to fix the damage, they sent me tje claim check which the bank would not cash So they r not only bad movers but questionable at best...be very carrful in doing business with The Apt Movers..packing services, moving services and professionalism was 'AWFUL'..this form did not allow me to mark my review of services accurately

Did a very good job

It went fine. The only problem was that only one guy showed up. He said his partner was sick. I felt so bad because he was moving a heavy sofa bed all by himself along with everything else. Otherwise he did a very good job. They did give me a price quote however I had to add some extra things last minute because I had more fragile things than I thought I had.

They damaged my furniture, my wall and ...

I had filed a claim with them because some of my furniture and my wall was damaged. It wasn't a very happy experience with them. They also did not come on time.

It was all right, it wasn't that great. I got a quote on the phone and then when they came I had to pay them $100 more and they showed up with a little truck like a trailer hitch so they actually didn't move my whole apartment completely. The movers did a good job though. I scheduled it for 8:00 in the morning, but when they showed up they showed up at noon, so I actually got charged another day of rent because they showed up late. I wouldn't use them again.

It was fine. It was smooth. I had no problem, they were on time and they were very helpful. I have no complaints.

They were great

I thought they were great. I didnt have any issues with the customer service or the crew members. My items were already packed they just moved things into a storage unit for me. The pricing was fair and I would recommend them to friends and family.

Not the greatest

Took them a long time to get there after they called and said they were on their way. Some of the furniture, it was not good furniture and it wasn't put together well I guess, but some of the drawers fell out in the furniture. At any rate, they scraped the door with the wardrobe box--I guess it had too big of a hanger rack thing in it and scraped the paint off of the bedroom door and the doorframe when they moved it into the bedroom so I could empty it--so not the greatest. They got it done, they were nice, but it wasn't perfect for sure, if there is such a thing. I don't think I would use them again myself.

Perfectly done move

They did exactly what I had asked them to do and in the time-frame they told me they could do it in, and it went really well. The crew was good, they were quiet and they weren't rude or anything like that, they were very nice. They did exactly what I had requested and the pricing was reasonable as well, the estimate they gave me was exactly what I paid.

I liked how flexible they were

They seemed to be able to work with me pretty well because they came out with kind of a small trailer but ended up working with me on the timing and everything, so they were flexible. Their price was the same per hour as what they quoted me, so it worked out. They packed up my stuff and loaded it from point A to point B, that's all I asked them to do and they did it in a timely manner. They were also polite and respectful and I would recommend them to my friends and family. I've already referred them to a few people.

Mediocre experience

They were a little difficult. The pricing was not reasonable and they didn't provide many services that others offered, but I already committed to that one. They didn't box anything up and they didn't provide any covers or covered the clothing when they moved it or anything like that. The crew was fine though and they were on-time and friendly. Movers.com is good but I will not recommend Apt Movers.

Very bad experience

It was just everything from the customer service to the time-frame and then when the movers got there they were rude and it was just all bad. It was a really really bad experience. I would never ever use this company again. I even wrote this on the receipt. It was really a bad experience. It wasn't so much the price because I knew that I had to do a minimum amount of time. That wasn't the issue. The issue was the time-framing. It was just a rude situation. The customer service was rude. The guy was yelling at the movers on the phone. They didn't want to work there. It was just really bad. I don't have any advice for anybody.

Good move, no complaints at all

They were very fast and efficient. Price was reasonable. I received all the services that I requested. It was great. If I get a chance, I would recommend them. Packing was done to my satisfaction.

Quick and careful service

The experience was good. They got everything done in quick enough fashion and didn't break any of my things. I will give them an A rating. The pricing was good. An average move

On a scale of 1 to 10 I would say they were a 6. The arrangement was all set up well. They showed up on time. They gave me an estimate of when they would be done. Since I was paying by the hour, I figured that would be perfect but they ended up going two hours overtime. There was only two guys moving stuff so we got little bit behind and they were grumpy by the end of the day. The price was reasonable. I was told in the beginning that once I got to the new place, they would put the beds together so forth and so on. They were getting ready to leave without finishing doing those things. And I had to remind them that they needed to do that. Wasn't really happy with that. Some of my furniture got damaged during the move as well. Not seriously, but scratches and chunks of wood out of furniture and things like that. The crew was good. I had no problems with the behavior itself. They were fine. They were professional. They were polite. I would say if someone else is going to use them - have someone come out and look at the stuff they had to move, if possible, because I think if they send somebody else for an estimate first, maybe things would have gone better.

Not a good experience

It was not a good experience. They were 12 hours late. The staff was fine. The price was reasonable. They were not punctual.

Good job but inaccurate estimate

It was good. Although they quoted me less than what actually I had to pay. They didn't include tax in my quote even though they were supposed to which I wasn't really happy about. They were good. They were very helpful. They did a good job during the move. They showed up little bit late but they were really apologetic about it. The only problem I had was that pricing was not what I thought it is gonna be. They didn't pack or unpack and we didn't had them wrap anything either. Yes I received all the services that I requested.

Got the job done in prompt manner

They protected my stuff and they got it delivered in a promptly manner and no damage, so everything turned out fine. The prices were reasonable to me. Packing was done well. My advice for them is to keep doing what they were doing, they were fine. I received all the services I requested.

They were prompt but damaged my entire ...

The time they came they were very prompt. They did come within hours, they got it done very fast. The isn't one piece of furniture that didn't suffer damages or suffered scratches or my dings. My dining room table has two huge dashes where the wood is chipped and I paid extra. I told them shrink wrap everything I paid extra for that. No no, it takes extra time, and your furniture doesnt need that protection. We won't wrap that suff till we get it in. I told them if you going down the stairs and going down and into move usually were things suffer damage, and they said like no we don't wrap we put the stuff until we get in the truck and then we wrap it and then I said okay. He didn't give me room to talk every time I would suggest something and he would cut me off and he just want to show you and he would go on to the next thing and the other one would not ask a question like I had no chance to say hold on and wrap this. The only thing he did wrap was the almirah. He didn't tell me that one would not make without scratches. I told him to wrap everything. My leather couches, I have a dresser, everything and I can take pictures and I can show everything. The work was cheap and the work was done in a prompt time and but at the same time I would have paid more to ensure that my stuff wasn't damage. But I left a message, so said that she would get back with me. My husband is dealing with that, no one has gotten back to me or called. Last time I called that number and left a voice message and I have all numbers. They said she was not working and she would return returned to my call and the other number, she said that and she would take my message and someone would get back to me. but it's been 3 week. I just wouldn't do it.

A good move delayed by three hours

All the people that moved the belongings were very nice. However, the company was very late and was not prepared for what I had asked them to move. Yes they had reasonable pricing. Packing was done up to my satisfaction. Yes I did receive all the services but unfortunately they complicated the whole thing by arriving three hours late. My advice to this company would be - when you schedule something, you should stick with your schedule. They actually lied.

The Worst experience I had

When they started moving me - I didn't like the way the guys were doing it. One guy was only moving the stuff. I am on the 8th floor, they had elevator - freight elevator. One guy was putting stuff at the elevator while the other one take it down to the truck. That was buying us a lot of time. I don't think it was going to take more than one trip because they had this truck that was big enough. I tell him to meet him over there and finish on my paperwork. Then they get here and it took them I think all the more than three hours. I couldn't understand why it is taking so long. Then I hear the guy get on the phone and say I need to call my boss. He called his boss, I don't know they say something. Then it went from there to him asking me for another $115. Then they got all my stuff on the truck. If I don't pay $115 then guess what, I probably won't get my stuff. I think they took advantage of. Not only did they charge me - at the apartment did they charge me, before I moved here they charged me extra. Once I got over here they charge me something else. I would end up having to pay for extra bed in my apartment. Because my lease was up on 31st. If I had to stick with another day, pay them. So that was just headache. That was the worst nightmare and I believe it is all part of the scam. I think they come out to you in a small truck on purpose to kind of throw you off. At the end of it they did all that to tell me it took us more than three hours and it is not my fault. The guys say it was accident and they got caught in traffic. So I paid them almost $400 for what they told me it is gonna be a $180. That was a biggest rip off.

Very disappointing experience

My experience with them was bad. Part of it was just my fault. It ended up taking the movers eight -and-half hours to move me from one apartment to another. The movers were not professional as I had expected. They really didn't seem to know what they were doing. They just weren't competent. They were confused with the supervisor saying they should have two men or three men. It was just a horrible day for me. It cost me more than twice what they estimated. As far as I know - from their point of view, I did receive all the services that I have requested. I did misunderstood about what they call the wrapping of the furniture. They did not come prepared to do that. I wanted to have and as a result of that my chair was very badly scarred and so was the piece of furniture for the living room. I didn't report it because I just didn't want to deal with them any further.

A flawless move

They didn't damage any of my furniture. They did a good job. Yes the price was reasonable. The crew were good. They were professional. Yes packing was done up to my satisfaction. At first they brought a small truck. I guess it was a misunderstanding but they came back with the correct truck. Everything was moved from there. They did a good job. If I am looking for a mover I will contact them. They didn't damage anything.

Professional crew flawless service

In two years, I will be moving to Tennessee and if I could I could take them with me. I actually would. They got there on time. They were very professional. I couldn't ask for better movers. They were just so great. I would recommend them to anybody and everybody. They are just that great. They even called me a day before to make sure my move was the next day which I really really like that. Like I said they were very professional. Nothing got broke. They put everything where I wanted it. I didn't had enough boxes. I needed about three to four medium boxes. They brought this gigantic box. They got everything in there. They had more room than what they needed so they put a moving pad in the bottom level. When I got everything out, I've seen it and I called them to tell them that they left one. They said that is alright. I have a moving pad that I have no use for it at all. If I could get rid of it then I would because I have just no use for it at all. They wouldn't come back for it but anyways I would recommend them. They were really very good. The prices were very reasonable. Packing was done up to my satisfaction. The crew were very professional.

My move was well-executed, but they ...

Everything went well, except they overcharged me and they didn't move everything I would replace to. Other than that it was fine and I can't get contact from manager's side. So i just let it be. I think they recommended site for U haul and something like that and they gave me a estimated price of $168 like and it was less than 20 boxes and two dresser draws, a couch and a television. All I was estimated like $168 but I ended up having paying like $208, so, I could never understand that when I tried to contact manager I couldn't get contact with him. So, they moved my stuff but they didn't move everything. Because I actually want them to move my tables which was included in the estimated price but they didn't. I had somebody else move that because they are going to charge me higher and no one assisted me on the phone. They kept telling me that they can have someone calling you back. But nobody did call me back. No one called me back to refund me. I had to call 3, 4 days in a row to get the manager, he was off. They moved all the stuff and everything was fine and I was little upset because they charged me a lot more than they said they were and they didn't even move. It was estimated 20 boxes for the move and now they move 15 boxes at the most and they didn't even move the table that I wanted to move. I still have the receipt but I haven’t unable to get in contact with manager so I stopped trying.

They were good. They showed up on time. They were fast. They moved everything that I wanted them to move. The estimate was right on. Yes it was reasonable pricing. The crew were great. They were friendly and professional. Packing was done upto my satisfaction. They were fine. They did everything that I expected. They were friendly, ontime and reasonable.

It was good experience with them. I think it was the gentleman that handled me on the phone. He was very accommodating, very polite and he was very thorough and get back to me right away. The estimate was accurate and the price was reasonable. No damage to my furniture and my husband helped them through to and it was good.

Timely service by professionals

I moved within Houston and it was a good moving experience. The movers were professional and quick. The pricing was reasonable. The quality that I liked the most was how quick they were at completing the job.

Mediocre moving experience

It would have been very bad but for one gentleman who was very nice and tried to compensate. On the whole it was a below average move. I am very dissatisfied with the pricing because of multiple reasons. It was quoted to me incorrectly and then the price was raised. All in all it became fine because I had to talk to the representatives on the phone. The price was adjusted later but it was a big headache. The only good thing I can say about this company was their ability to correct mistakes.

Compared to moves that I have done till now this was a pretty good experience. What amazed me the most was their punctuality. The crew was punctual and moved what I asked them to. They took precautions while loading and unloading so as not to damage the flooring or carpets. The pricing was reasonable and I paid the amount that was given as an estimate.

I recently moved within Plano, Texas, and it was a great experience with them. They were very professional and polite. As the contract was on an hourly basis, they worked in an organized way to finish the move in a limited amount of time, which was very helpful. The estimate was also accurate to the initial quote. I am very happy about the move.

The fact that they have a flat rate instead of an hourly rate was the main reason why I went with them. This way, we knew how much the moving cost would come to even before the actual move began. Then, they provided us on-time service. Plus, we were also impressed by their friendly staff and crew.

I had a very smooth moving experience

The movers were pretty much on time and finished the packing in two hours. The movers delivered my belongings on the scheduled date without any scratches and nothing was missing. I came across the best customer service with this company that handled my move. I personally feel that they have done a fantastic job. I would definitely be referring them to my friends who will be moving their car in the near future.

Fast and effecient service

I was referred to this company by my friend and am very satisfied with the way my move went. The movers were fast, effecient and highly professional. They had a problem with some furniture, but these guys worked extra hard and finally the item was packed and loaded. At both ends of the move, the movers did a very good job.
