58 days holding my property hostage

THEY HAVE KEPT MY PROPERTY HOSTAGE FOR 52 DAYS!!! they don't call/email me back. I scheduled a move/paid deposit on 7/3 between 8-9 am to relocate from Miami to Tampa. Movers showed 5 hours late. Never called me to let me know they were going to be 5 hours late. They kept my stuff overnight in an unknown location because they got to Tampa so late they couldn't deliver my belongings to the storage and they didn't even called me to let me know they were going to do that. The next day they were supposed to put all my stuff in my storage unit, at the time they did that they broke one of my shelves and they didn't even tell me they just left it there. I was quoted for $1300 for the move. I ended up paying them $2114.30 in total. I receive a call from Mike telling me they had delivered my stuff to another customer and had left some of the others customer stuff in my storage unit. He never called me to arrange delivery, I had to reach out to him. He finally said tomorrow 4 days later and dropped off my lamp to me. All my things were beat up and scratched. He went on vacation and never texted me back when I asked for my missing things. I wonder why no one else could help me while the employees go on vacation and leave their paying customers missing their personal property. Do you not have a boss or a manager or anyone that can hold your employee's actions accountable?. Frank "The boss" It took me a month to speak with him and he has yet to answer any of my emails. When I spoke to him on August 28th he stated that I will get my property back by the end of the week if not I will be compensated well, guess what? that was 25 DAYS AGO!! . I placed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau which by the way they have multiple complaints against them about their unethical business practices my Case# 67463740. They answered to my complaint on 09/07 wrote they had located my property and were going to arrange the delivery that week, well guess what? it's been 15 days and they didn't arrange a damn thing. No call back, no email or text back. I scheduled my move to be as early as possible so I would have a chance to paint and clean my apartment before I had to turned in my keys at 5:00pm. I was not given my security deposit because the movers showed up so late that I didn't have a chance to clean or paint, that right there puts me out of $550 dollars on top of the $2114.30 I paid them for them to scratch, mishandle, break, and hold my property hostage for no reason. I'M MISSING 1.Big silver mirror 2.Big gray mirror 3.Wood round shaped coffee table with geometrical base 4.Latter 5.ustard Rug Broke my shelve, damaged my daughters TV. I called the Sheriff's Department Case#2020-459-129 I opened a case with The Florida Department of Agriculture Complaint # 392447 I will not rest until I make sure they don't do this to anybody else. local move

Actual movers were great. Everyone else was marginal at best. My quote from Scott, as we negocated a price he quoted it will not be over 500 and took a 100 deposit. No one ever contacted me to set the time . I called the day before the move in late afternoon because i had not heard from anyone and they did not have a scheduled time fore me only that I was on the schedule and some one will contact me after 430 5 Pm that day, no one called. theday of the move i waited until 10 am ad called i was ask to wait and the person I was talking too laid the phone down and he was talking about me and my move to another person. When he returned to the phone i let him know that i heard the other conversation ad that he and the other person was talking about my move. He still did not have a time for me and said a truck and two people would be available between 11 and 1PM His comment was we will get you moved. They showed up after 1Pm about 1:15. The did not log the time on the receipt either starting or stopping. The packed the truck wrapped two cabinets with shrink wrap no other boxes or packing material or blankets. The movers said they would not charge me for the shrink wrap and the charged me on the bill of lading. Delivery was 1 1/2 miles away. We went directly to the no place 15 minutes tops. Before they unloaded the furniture and boxes I have to provide the information for the charge and they already had a final price. via a phone call. They form to fill out the credit card information which stated 545.00 I had already paid 100 .in deposits and the form said TOTAL 545. After I they were finished i was given the bill of lading which listed labor at 110. i was quoted 100. never told about fuel surcharge 80. packing material 50. which was only for the shrink wrap which the movers told me they would not charge me. My entire charge should be 500. - 100 deposit Total charge should have been 400. Professional below is good for the movers awful for management/dispatch

Stressless and Painless

These guys were great they turned this stressful move into a stress free move they were gentle and careful with everything and took inventory of everything and unloaded it in the house where we needed it. I would recommend them to anyone. I will use them again!!

Unethical, Unthoughtful ...

There are 2 unethical business practices that I want to report. (1) On August 7th, I gave Justin the complete rundown of everything I owned, and I was quoted $545. I paid $150 deposit. When the movers showed up on August 16th, they immediately told me that there would be extra charges, without even looking around. I was told that I need to be ready to pay more than the estimate because they had previously held other's property for not having more money. Upon arrival at my new place, before unloading the truck, I was presented a bill of $784. I paid under duress because I didn't want my property held hostage. Later I found that my deposit was not honored and the total I paid was $934. After emailing and speaking to the owner, Miguel to ask for my deposit, it was refused. (2) When I gave a negative review on Google Maps, the owner responded by publicly posting my address. I am a disabled veteran with PTSD and he directly threatened my health and safety doing this to me.

I can't complain about the work ...

A couple of people called me back, most of them called me after the fact that I moved, 3 or 4 days later. It was the first one that called me. Everything was fine until they were ready to leave, they upped my bill by over $200, $250 dollars which I wasn't happy about and I'm going to call and complain. They gave me a quote for my move, everything went fine. The office kept calling the driver, kept him on the phone because he was on the phone, the two workers who were trainees wouldn't work, so they charged me, it took them an extra 2 hours they charged me because of the new guys on the job. It was like I was paying for their training. They didn't have to pack anything, I had all the dishes and clothes, everything was already gone, I had all the drawers out of all the dressers they were just moving the furniture. It wasn't a normal move, it was 2 kitchen tables with 8 chairs, 3 queen sized mattresses and like 8 dressers with no drawers and just minor stuff, a couple lamps a mirror, anything I couldn't fit in my car. They were very good, they showed up promptly, they packed everything on the truck nice, nothing came back broken, I can't complain about the work itself, I'm complaining about the office calling the driver who I found out was fairly new and that's why they were constantly checking on him, and the two guys they had with him, he was training so when he was on the phone, the two of them sat - nobody worked and that's why it went into overtime, and they charged me for that. I'm gonna call them and tell them that's not right and if they don't fix the bill I'm calling the Better Business Bureau. It's a switch and bait, you gave me a quote for the time, the packing, unloading and for the drive. Why am I being charged $200 more?

Great Moving Company. Very Professional

Great experience. I highly suggest Thoughtful Moving to handle all of your moving needs. They showed up on-time and packed everything up in a very professional manner. When we got to our new house, they unpacked everything without breaking a thing. We couldn't have been happier. They quoted us over the phone exactly what they charged us on our credit card. Again, I would highly suggest Thoughtful Moving to anyone looking for a professional moving company.

They were good.

When I talked to somebody on the phone though they said they were going to.. I told them I had a big mirror. And they said they would bring something to wrap it. But when the guys came they didn't have anything. So they couldn't do my mirror. But other than that it was fine.

Amazing. They were amazing. They were great. They were reasonable. They did what no one else would do. I only needed to move one large stone sculpture. Everyone else wanted to charge a minimum of 2 hours and 1 hour of moving. And they did not. They were just terrific.

It was good, Only one thing got broken ...

It was good, It was okay. Only one thing got broken but they're going to replace it with the insurance so everything was fine. The pricing was good. They were efficient, they had a lot of guys working. The owners were actually helping move also. They took more care than other people.
