Avoid these scammers at all costs!
Do NOT use this company! They are scammers! Before I continue, ask yourself this, "Why are soooo many people across the country reporting the SAME horrible things about this place?" Because it's true! I tried to be optimistic (and save money) but that was a mistake. Allow me to explain... In the beginning, they treat you great, answer your calls and provide phenomenal customer service, HOWEVER, once the move begins, ALL that great service goes out of the window. The representative (Art Booker, New Jersey, 908/952/0066} we've been working with - the same one who hounded us with calls initially - has failed to return an email or phone call. When we call, we're sent to voice mail or told he's on a call or out to lunch. Despite our inventory list being exactly what we discussed on the phone, the movers arrived (NONE of which were wearing masks during a Covid-19 pandemic) and raised the price by SEVERAL hundred dollars. As for Art, he is NOWHERE in sight and not bothering to offer the great customer service he promised. Another thing - and they do not tell you this in advance - their moving insurance is horrible. They pay. 06 a pound for broken items. That said, if your $450.00 TV weighs 10 pounds and is broken, they're only going to pay you $.60 - sixty cents! That's crazy! (Thank God we have renters insurance! If you don't, again, do NOT use this company!!!) I do not recommend this company. Stay far, far away. They do NOT care about you or your belongings, ONLY THE MONEY. And to any employee who might dare comment on my post, you should be ashamed! I have been phoning and emailing for DAYS and have been cast aside and ignored. If you can't speak with me now, do not bother to reply to this comment with a fake apology or rebuttal to make yourselves look good. I have proof of EVERYTHING I'm writing here and will be glad to share all of it with other members of the community. Now that my patience has worn thin and they've made it clear I'm not a priority, this will be the first of many comments and photos I plan to post online, as well as calls the appropriate government agencies to address their non-compliance with state orders (masks) as well as bad business practices. This "company" should be out of business. Together, with our lawyers and the testimonies of other customers who were scammed, we can make this happen. Shame on these thieves! The world is hurting financially due to a pandemic - people are losing their jobs left and right - and Official Van Lines only cares about themselves. Do NOT use them. Pay a little more upfront and find a reputable company like Mayflower. Trying to save money will only hurt you in the long run. Shame on you all, including you Art Booker. You're all thieves and cowards, and karma will catch up with you all professionally and personally., and I will do all I can to ensure she knows the way.
