I called Uptown Moving & Storage for my move and I am glad that I did. After their timely arrival, they reviewed the task and started wrapping and loading up the truck swiftly and professionally. They protected my furniture very well; there was not a scratch on any item. The whole move was done in such a systematic way. The movers were organized in every step of the way. You can’t possibly find better movers anywhere else. When they reached my new home to deliver, they maneuvered all boxes and other furniture in my desired places. Gladly recommended.

The best service in the country, without discussion. When I was trying to move, I didn’t find any company in the market that could offer me a good service according to my budget. Very wise decision

I was very pleased. The sales rep was always responsive to my quest attentive to my needs the movers picked up as scheduled and contacted me during the day to check it again and confirmed that the furniture was very well packed and protected. Nothing was broken or even scratched. The price was reasonable compared to others. To transport a large number of important or fragile items I think you will not find a better company. Most movers take their assignments like just another job to finish. But that’s not the case with Uptown. They really go all out to show you that they care about you and your valuables. We country folks really appreciate helpful folks who are decent and competent. I might have moved out of home but my mentality tells me exactly why this company has such a good reputation in the field.

They care

Dealing with Uptown Moving was a true pleasure. The movers were so efficient at their job. They really made me feel like they cared about my things. I thought they would come to my house and rush to load the truck and move on, but instead they really took their time and made sure not to break or damage anything. My questions were answered or an answer was found by the end of the day. For example, customer service was not sure of the exact date so they called the driver, and he called me and let me know his schedule and his approximate arrival. It was super cool of him to call and let me know. Thanks guys.

The experience has been quite comprehensive right from the start. I would like to say that the customer support executive was very responsive. They didn’t ditch me after we hired them and paid half of the sum. Instead, frequent calls were made to ensure the team is working as instructed. They even called me once the entire job was done. I gave the team a five star rating through phone. They satisfied our requirements and delivered more than we paid for.

Very Reasonable

They handled our move with great care at a very reasonable cost. My primary reason for hiring them was their quote. I’m happy to report that they didn’t cross the estimate in the final bill. I have heard stories about inefficient movers but these movers were nothing like them. They were prompt, skilled and always ready to help. They really outperformed my expectations. They were done with all the packing and loading in 3 hours. The delivery was made on time with all my belongings intact. I’m grateful to Uptown and would surely hire them again if need be.

Real Hard Wokers

My experience with relocation companies has not been too good given that most of these companies hire men who don’t have the language skills to properly communicate with you. I hired Uptown to move my stuff two weeks ago. All four men spoke and understood enough English to know what you want them to do. They worked very efficiently for 4 hours. I have to give credits where credits are due and these guys exceeded all my expectations.

Best In Class

I have never had a moving experience as affordable and wonderful as with Uptown. They worked hard and courteously, oozing with great motivation throughout the process. Everything they did showed that they are well trained and they understand all the ropes of moving. They did everything from packing and loading to unloading. Their diligence made me think that they were moving their things and not mine! I suggest them to everybody.

I want to thank them for all their help when I moved from IL to NJ. I never thought that I will overcome my fear of hiring a relocation company, especially since the last time I moved when the movers were not careful and broke my antiques. I have heard some mean things about the moving companies. But, the reason why they exist is pretty simple. They make our lives easier. Otherwise, I don’t even know how people move across states, on their own. Sure, not every moving company makes it easier for you and there is always a chance that your goods might get damaged or lost. But, that risk runs low with a company like Uptown Moving. These guys are just such professionals. I hired them for my move and they really came to the party. All my belongings were carefully packed up in the shortest possible time. The men displayed amazing skills and efficiency. I am very thankful to the movers. All my goods reached on schedule and nothing was lost or damaged. I think hiring these guys was the best decision.

Amazing Moving Experience

I was moving out of the area for a new job opportunity and I needed to find a moving company that I could trust with my valuables. I have a lot of important items in my house that needed to be handled with care. After talking to many friends and family about my move,the majority recommended me to Uptown Moving and Storage as a reputable and honest company. I called them and from the woman who took my call to the movers who handled my valuables,I was treated with respect and integrity throughout the entire process. I would highly recommend this company. You need someone you can trust when moving valuable items and the people at this company are trustworthy.

Uptown did a GREAT Job!!!

After completing Graduate School I needed to move cross country. And finding a mover was a daunting experience. After much research I chose to go with Uptown...and they got it RIGHT! Other moving companies tried to entice me with low-ball offers, but Eli and Tony were always honest and direct from the very start. I have NEVER written a review for ANY business. Period. But UPTOWN GOT IT RIGHT, so I promised them that I would share that with the world. Look, I'm not sure what others are unhappy with. Sure, I had to be patient and understanding when prior jobs took longer than planned. But they were never more than 45 minutes behind an expected appointment time. AND, I did not get any surprise charges after the fact. They were willing to come to my apartment BEFORE quoting a price so that there wouldn't be any confusion. AND they told me exactly how to pack my goods.Uptown got all of my stuff from Chicago to Texas and they didn't lose or break anything. I am grateful. And, as a show of my gratitude, I am posting this review. Please...don't be tricked by other movers quoting crazy low prices and ridiculous 3 week long delivery windows. Uptown kept it simple, and they got it right. you may still choose to go with someone else because of price...but if you end up getting disappointed...just remember that I tried to warn you! Horrible experience

It was bad. It was horrible. Initially, when they came to pick up my stuff, they were over 7-8 hours late. I told them in advance that I should be the first one on their pick-up because I am leaving to drive to a different state. And I don't have any other place to stay at the moment. So initially it already started out badly. When it came to delivery time, they wouldn't give me a definitive date. It took them three to four weeks to actually get me a date. When they finally did deliver, a fourth of my stuff is still missing. And I paid them in full.

Lack of Customer Service and ...

The experience I had with Uptown Movers was horrible. It began with a lack of responsiveness from the salesman who quoted the job, that should have been a sign of the aggravation to come. The pick-up was scheduled for 9:00 AM on 5/26. At 110:00 AM someone finally answered the phone at the warehouse to tell me they did not have the move scheduled for that day. At about 1:30 PM they finally showed up only to tell me that I owed then an extra $150 for having to come up the stairs, when clearly in the contract it reads that the 1st 2 flights of stairs are free and the 3rd flight is $50. In addition, the salesman vervally waived the fee prior to the pick-up. Once the merchandise was picked up it took 14 days to have the delivery. Each time I called the company it was a huge frustration. Most times nobody answeres the phone and there was no answering machine. On the occasions when I did actually speak to someone it was a constant stream of aversion and misrepresentations. At one point the dispatcher actuallt told me the job was so small and they weren't making enough money to be able to schedule a specific delivery date, he didn't know when it would happen. When they finally did schedule a date, they were 2 and 1/2 days late. Now the best part is that when they actually did arrive they would not drive the truck up the street claiming it was not wide enough and made me get a pick up truck and load the furniture on that to come up the street. So on top of everything, I actually had to load and upload some of my boxes in order to move the process along!!!
