NIghtmare, nightmare, nightmare

I wish I could convey to you what a horrible outfit this is, but words just can't describe them. I contracted with a moving company called Liberty Moving Group in NJ, to move my belongings to Los Angeles, and was assured by them that they didn't subcontract out to other movers, but they did, and to this outfit. USA Relocation arrived a day later than they said they would. The mouth piece for this sham outfit entered my apartment, and without so much as a hello, announced that I had a problem. "The contract says your first 75 feet are included in the cost, but you have 500 feet. We need another 500.00 to deliver." Shocked, I told him that there was no possible way the distance from the elevator to my apartment door was 500 feet, as that is 1/2 the length of a football field. I measured the distance myself, and guess what? It was 75 feet. My son in law did the same, it the distance was 75 feet. The mouth piece, with the heavily accented English, "Israeli," he announced, refused to walk the hall with my son in law, to jointly measure the hallway. He then began protesting that I didn't have a postal money order for him, or cash, but instead a Chase Bank MO. I called "Zacky, " Liberty Moving Group in NJ to tell him what was happening, and Zacky said, "I'll take the money order, if you give him the receipt." What? It dawned on me that these people weren't dealing with me as if we were in the USA, but instead, as if we were in some no holds barred, cheat as much as you can, country, where everything is dependent on bribes, extortion, and kickbacks. I agreed to give him the receipt, but I would keep a copy. I then asked mouth piece, if everything was ok and settled, regarding the method of payment, and the distance. This infuriated mouthpiece, who began throwing my belongings back on the truck, and drove away, after telling me he was just moving the truck up the street a bit. I then called Liberty Moving Group, and was told by the heavily accented Zacky, "You should have just given him the money, and been done with it. You made it hard on yourself." Give him the extra money for what? That's just not the way business is done here. Extortion isn't ethical, legal, or right. I called mouthpiece again, actually he said his name is Charley, and asked about my belongings. "Oh, so you finally call me huh?," he said. "I will bring your things to you for 500.00." Obviously enraged that he was foiled in his attempt to charge extra for walking distance, he took my things, and then tried to charge me to redeliver them. Uggh!!!! We had to call the police, travel to Van Nuys, a long distance by LA standards, and rent a U-Haul, in order to retrieve my belongings, then hire other workers to move my belonging into my apartment. Zacky's advice was to "got get some Spanish guys to move your things." When I went to retrieve my things, every glass item had been smashed, a brass lampshade was lying in front of their building, uncove

Mediocre service

It was okay. They showed up six hours late because the truck broke down. I was not very happy with that situation but besides that the movers that came up - they were great. Pricing was pretty accurate. I didn't mind if it was more than the estimate, that is okay. I received all the services that I requested. I wasn't happy because they were six and a half hours late. That was an issue. The movers - the guys themselves - were very nice but besides that I wasn't very happy with the whole situation. I wasn't very happy.

Friendly crew and quick service

I liked their friendliness, their quickness and their helpfulness. They did exactly what I wanted. I called them and they were able to do it in three days. That was really quick as far as I was concerned. They didn't have to pack. They didn't have to unpack. I did all of that. None of my family or friends are moving but I would recommend them if they were.

Flawlessly done

They were great. They made sure that everything was wrapped correctly. They moved carefully without scratching any furniture up. And everything we asked them to do and pick up - they did it all for us. It was great. Pricing was reasonable. Everything was fine. Everything was great. I would like to recommend them to my friends and family. Packing was great.

Nasty experience

One of the first things is that there were four people. They worked for four hours and then he was sick. He got diarrhea and my wife went out of her way to buy some medicine. Then he started to feel better but the guy disappeared for about four hours. When he finally started working, he started fighting and he used profane language, yelling with the other guys. The others keep telling him what to do and he will not move. He will just waste time. He will be doing nothing. He starts arguments with others specially when they were carrying stuff upstairs. And, then they damage some of my furniture which I am supposed to do a claim. I just hadn't had a chance to do the claim. They tore several pieces of my furniture. It was terrible. And, they took so much time. I didn't go to bed until 4:00 in the morning. When I called the company, I told them that we are moving a 5-bedroom house and they sent me a really small truck. They came out with a 30 foot truck and i said look at my house - it has five bedrooms. Two trips will make a lot of extra time - more loading time, more unloading time, more travel time. I ended up paying a lot more money than I expected to pay. They charged me $250 for tape. That box I can buy for 30 bucks and you charge me $250 for the tape. I argued with the guy when he canceled the charges. He said well if you don't pay the bill, we will not unload anything. It was really really nasty experience working with these people.

They broke our 32-inch TV

They actually broke our TV - a Samsung TV - and we are asking for them to reimburse our money. A 32-inch Samsung TV which is quite new. It's like bought from a year ago. They said insurance all covered it when we were moving but now they are now gonna pay $65. We said no we can't take $65. We just gave a $100 tip for you guys and how can we expect $65 for the TV? They are not replying anything. Whenever we try to speak to the manager - they say the manager is away. We are unable to catch hold of the manager. I don't know how to give a positive feedback for them when they did this.

Would not use them again

It wasn't good. It was a learning experience. I did a lot of lifting and moving myself. Two of the guys seemed to be more like day labors, than the actual movers. I had to have three people to help because I had a piano to move. As it turned out, only two of them lifted the piano while I was trying to get the dolly out from under it. The third guy was nowhere around. It broke off two of the piano pedals and it's an antique piano. I was not happy about that. One guy was not strong enough to lift a lot of the furniture that we had. So I had to take stuff upstairs. And it was not a good experience. I would not use them again.

Took longer than expected

It was okay. They took all day. They were scheduled at like 4 in the afternoon and they came early. They came in at like I think 11 but they didn't leave. They were here like from 11 in the morning to 10 or 11 at night. So it was an all day thing. And the leader of the crew kept complaining about how long it was taking. Other than that, everything was fine. The pricing was very good. I did receive all the services that I requested. I would recommend them. Packing was done to my satisfaction.

They did a fine job

The move was good. They did exactly what they were supposed to do. They quoted me. They moved everything. I only used one company during the move. The pricing was reasonable. I received all the services that I requested. I would recommend them again. Packing was done to my satisfaction. One of the moves took longer than expected. So they were quite behind in getting to us though.

Perfectly done

Excellent move. Actually, I have used this company six times. They weren't new to me as I have used them before. Pricing was reasonable. I received all the services. They were excellent. I would recommend them over and over and over again. Packing was excellent.

Worst move ever

It was the worst moving experience I have ever had in my life. The moving truck showed up five hours late. They had a half-loaded truck. So they weren't able to move all my stuff. My move was supposed to take place between 12 and 2 and they showed up at 7:00 at night. It wasn't until midnight that they moved only half of my stuff.

Respectful crew, great service

The move was really good. The price is what I liked the most. I received all the services that I requested. Packing services were done to my satisfaction. I would recommend them. The crew was very nice and respectful.

Service above average

I would say it was probably better than average. I wouldn't really know because it's the first time i have ever used a mover. There were a couple of things they did wrong that I was a little upset about but that is okay. Pricing was reasonable. I have received all the services. Right now I have a claim filed because they ripped a hole in my couch. They left all my plants outside at my old house and they didn't make it onto the truck. So a bunch of them are dying.

Fast and responsible service

The speed of the service was great. They were responsible. The pricing was reasonable. I got all the services that I requested. Pretty much we didn't have any wrapping for the move. I would suggest them to future customers. The crew were pretty good. No problem with it. They were on time and friendly.

Worst company ever

Worst experience I ever had. The pick-up time was between 8-10 am and they showed up at 7.15 pm, and nobody has ever bothered to call and keep me posted about the delay. I had to call numerous times and every time it was given me a different estimate time. They said that the truck “broke down” on the way which is fine if they only had informed me. The delivery time was scheduled for 8-10 am 2 days later and they showed up at 8pm because the truck “had a flat tire”. Just as for the pick-up nobody has given me a call all day making me waste another day. When they showed up the crew was extremely rude and unprofessional. I asked to speak with the manager but the foreman stepped outside to call her without given me the chance to directly talk to her. They dropped a pile of boxes and they didn't even bother to check if something was broken. I repeatedly asked them to put the boxes on the balcony on the deck but they kept leaving it in the middle of the room. When it came to reassemble the bedframe the crew did not know how to do it even though I gave them the instructions, and they start claiming that are not allowed by contract to assemble items sold by IKEA. I showed the contract to the foreman that states differently and he was so upset that left the house leaving the other 2 guys trying to put it together. During the process the drawers were damaged and no longer fit properly. They also damaged the bed frame trying to put the damaged side by the wall hoping we won't notice it. The supervisor never came back to make sure that the job was done and waited on the truck. I had to remind the other 2 movers to reassemble the table that they dropped and a leg fell off. My barbeque was damaged as well as numerous items on the boxes that they dropped, and 2 boxes were not delivered at all. This complete fiasco cost me almost the double estimated and even though I let the company know about the incidents two week ago I haven't gotten any answer YET!!!!!. DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR STAY AWAY FROM THEM.

workers efficent

workers were fast and efficent and courteous. It was a small move only 2 miles down the road. but the truck broke down and 7-hours later my stuff finally delivered.

Good service but bad quote

What I can tell you is I received a verbal quote for the cost of the moving and it ended up being far more than that. I was quoted $192 and I actually ended up paying close to $400. Services was fine. They didn't do any packing for me in boxes but they did wrap furniture and that was fine. It would just have to be about the verbal quote. I think verbal quote didn't allow for enough time. It took for longer than I was quoted. Being new to this I wouldn't have even known how long it would have taken. So I was trusting that quote.

Worst moving experience of our whole ...

They were dishonest and over charged us for everything. They ended up dropping a piece of furniture and telling us they were gonna take pictures of it. And, they never did. That wouldn't have been a very big deal to us. We didn't care that much about the piece of furniture that was dropped. It was just more that the price was about double what was quoted. We were expecting to pay about three to $350. It was almost $700 that we were charged. We are actually in a dispute right now with them about it. My advice is they should not be in business - they are horrible.

Excellent service but disappointed in ...

To make the long story short, the movers were excellent but I had a few hundred dollars of charges which was kind of disappointing. Apparently my tv and stuff needed to be put in cardboard box. On the contract it just says that it needs to be wrapped safely which we were going to wrap in blankets and what not that we had. So I was kind of forced to purchase three cartons which ended up being about $150, plus their labors to put it in. So I wasn't very happy about the extra $300 in charges. Yes I have received all the services that I have requested. The crew were excellent. No issues with the crew or anything. I know they were just acting what their policies are and what not. I mean for a local move that took four hours - a ten minute drive from each other. It costed me like $700 which was not at all good. It was almost double what I was expecting. My advice to this company would be - just be a little bit more upfront about what you expect with moving tvs because I have moved several times and this moving company. I have expereienced one of the moving company like this one where they are very specific about what they want and how I want my things wrapped. Had I known that prior, I wouldn't have used that moving company.

Professional crew excellent service

They were just very professional. Everything that I asked for them to do they did. I appreciate it. Yes the pricing was reasonable. Packing was done up to my satisfaction. Yes I did receive all the services that I have requested. They were great. For future customers I can say just to use them. The crew were professional. They were very friendly. They were little behind because of the job they had prior to mine took longer than expected but he called me and let me know the situation which actually worked out perfectly because they gave me more time to do some other things. It worked out and they were awesome.

Reliable and helpful movers

It was good. They were on time. They were careful. I expected to pay less. I was quoted a little less and when they got out there it was little more. It was $350 altogether. It was reasonable. Yes it wasn't that big a move. I sold the house. I just needed some bedroom sets - it was like 6 pieces. Just moved to a storage garage - my own personal storage garage on another property that I have. Packing was decent. They put blankets. For future customers I can say it was good. They are reliable. The crew members were very polite and helpful.

Prompt and pleasant service

They were there. They showed up on time. They treated my stuff nice. They got it done in short amount of time and they were pleasant and courteous. Price was reasonable. Yes I have received all the services that I have requested. Packing was fine. It was good. I think I went on Yelp. I gave them a review on Yelp.

Not at all a good moving experience

First they brought incorrect type of truck, it didn't have a lift gate. After I had spoken to the lady and told her what type of equipment we have they didn't bring the lift gate. Secondly they started wrapping things and charged us for packaging material and then it was just only after they started packaging things that they told about it. After they got it to the second location, they sort of took the time to unload things. For what I had expected It happened for three hours I thought it was reasonable but then it ended up being $1000, initially what they quoted looked reasonable.

Bad experience

I guess the experience we had with our moving company before that we have used that they very professional and had a wrench if we needed it. These guys I know they were doing their job and I don't want to complain, but I guess the complaint I would have is with the oil from their truck. We have a new house and they pulled up in our driveway and it ruined our whole driveway with oil stains. They came up with three different quotes, I wouldn’t use them again, I would never recommend them. My advice to future customers is not use them because their trucks are shitty and ruined our whole driveway. They need new trucks and more professional.

Quick service fair prices

It was a good experience. They were professional, showed up on time and quick. Yes prices were reasonable - decent. Yes I requested three people but they send two, that was the only problem, but it was still okay. Packing was fine. The crew memgers were nice.

Quick and efficient

They were right on time and they were quick and efficient and they were personable. For my particular move the state governs the price so it is by pounds. I received all the services I requested. One thing they did pack a glass table top and they tape glass instead of putting like in between the glass so I have to remove all of the tape residue which took quite a long time, other than that it was good. I would recommend them, they were very good.

They were fair in all their services

It was very good. They did a really good job. They came in packed everything up that needed to be packed up, to help us pack some of the stuff my sister and I had to pack up. They gave us the material to do with and loaded everything up into the truck and off they went. They did a good job. Yes I think the prices were reasonable. Yes I have received all the services that I have requested. I think they really did a good job. I don't have any complaints about them at all. The crew were all very good and very nice. I can't really say anything about the estimate because my mom was the one that we moved. We had lot more stuff than what she had told them. From what I could see on the figures, I think they were all accurate and I followed them to the weight station and showed how much it is going to be. They were really fair about everything.

Service could have been better

It was okay. It was not as we expected but it was okay. The prices were little higher than we expected because they were adding other things and they made a little booboo on the walls. Better don't say anything. Lets say it was okay. Packing was okay. Yes I have received all the services that I have requested. I prefer not to say anything to future customers. Let them have their own experience.

The movers were really attentive

My moving experience was great. The guys were just really attentive, they were on-time, they were quick and it was good to work with them. The crew members behaved greatly. Packing was done up to my satisfaction. I would just that it is a good company to go with.

A mediocre move

It was okay experience. It wasn't exactly explained to me that I was quoted the price of $200 and I didn't know that was going to be doubled for the return trip. That wasn't fully explained to me. The crew were good. Packing was fine. For future customers I can say to just to make certain that when they are scheduling, the customers aware that whatever the quote is it is gonna be doubled than that. So if you are quoted $250 then it is gonna be $500 because they are gonna charge for the return trip and I wasn't aware of that. The movers themselves were fine. The lady that I spoke to on the phone was misleading.

Fast service

It's that the same what any mover with additional costs at the on set of everything. The staff members were courteous and no need to talk about. They were fast, quick and delivered our items on time. I don't normally recommend people to services.

Bad experience

The experience was so bad that I filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau. It was a couple of things. Number one - the original quote was for $1500 and as soon as they walked in, he looked and says it is gonna be $3000. Anyway I needed the stuff moved. He says we are not gonna deliver today which was by the way contracted to do the same day delivery. He said we don't do that because we don't want to buy tyre chains while we are moving when it is snowing. Then they charged me for $650 for packing materials including $210 for like a box of tape that I can buy pretty much anywhere for $30. It is just multiple things that. Then I was promised next day delivery at 2'O'clock in the afternoon. They didn't show up until almost six at night. So it has been just a bad experience all around.

Disappointing service

They were two hours late. They arrived with a broken truck and a broken lift. They couldn't move everything. That was on friday. They had to skip saturday and come back on sunday with a different truck to move the rest of it. We end up paying them the amount that they quoted. They wouldn't even give us the discount for all the hassle that they gave us. I expected some kind of compensation but we didn't get anything. The crew was very nice and very cordial. I think the crew should have called in and told them to send another truck when they realized their truck was broken. They were late because they were trying to fix their truck and finally realized they couldn't fix it. So they came anyway. I had to take out and empty all my drawers into boxes. My dressers and everything. So that they can move them. I never have ever have to do that in all my moves before. I already had my house packed. They didn't had to pack them. Then they come and tell me that I had to empty all the drawers, dressers and everything because they couldn't move, as they didn't had a lift. So then I had to get boxes and pull everything out of the dressers which I was not happy at all.

Horrible, they cheated me out of money

It was horrible. They cheated me out of money, they said it was $75 an hour and ended up like overcharging me and ended up having to keep my furniture over night and then they charged me $335. when something like $450 and I ended up paying $1125 and next they took extra $25 from me and it was horrible, the manager was horrible, it was horrible horrible experience. They were two that one he was a little white baldhead guy, he was unprofessional and so was the supervisor at the office. He qouted me one thing and it was horrible. Have a flat rate and don't be telling first one thing then with whole price and we will be thinking one price and then they had a whole difference price.

Move went as planned

They were on time. The move went smoothly. The price was alright. All my belongings arrived without any damages. Everything was fine. For future customers I recommend them.
