POOR planning, POOR execution, ...

I recently hired West Coast Movers for a local move in LA - it was moving two apartments (a one bedroom and a two bedroom) into a three bedroom apartment. The moving guys themselves were very hard working and were great. BUT shortly after they started packing up the first apartment, we realized that the truck was too small (even though we were crystal clear with them how much furniture we had). We immediately called the office and were told they had no other truck (or more guys) to send. The result? They had to make multiple trips to each apartment, unloading the truck at the new place and going back for more. The move took 24 CONSECUTIVE HOURS because of this poor decision by management to send a small truck for such a large job. We complained throughout the move and ultimately got an acceptable discount, however we realized when unpacking that they damaged several pieces of furniture. So now we are trying to file an insurance claim (which they guaranteed they had) and they took two weeks to even return our phone calls and now they're claiming they weren't the company who moved us - that they subcontracted the work but have no record of who it was! They're claiming they aren't responsible for the claim, even though THEY are the ones we hired! I do NOT recommend this moving company as they managed our move so poorly (even though the moving guys themselves were great) and are now completely unprofessional in their lack of response to being accountable for the damage they caused. Last minute move

Thank you West Coast Moving Systems!!! I called into get a quote to move my 4000 square ft home last minute. My first move cancelled. they quoted 6 men 3 truck for 300.00 an hour. they even sent out an estimator to give me the max price. Robby told me 10 hours. He was right on! It may have taken a little longer. I paid 3000.00. it was done in a day. thanks again!!! highly recommended!!! Read more
