How do you wrap wood furniture for moving?

The best way to protect wood furniture during a move is to clean it, remove or disassemble detachable parts, wrap it with moving blankets or furniture pads, and secure the padding with stretch wrap.

Avoid placing plastic wrap or bubble wrap directly against finished wood for extended periods, especially during storage, as trapped moisture may damage some wood finishes.

1. Clean the furniture to remove dust and dirt that could scratch the finish.
