Appalling service and shocking lack of ...

AVOID THIS COMPANY. DO NOT be fooled by the advertising/marketing. The staff were very good at creating the illusion that the move would be handled well on the day. They called numerous times to assure you everything will be fine, we went over the items and the quotation multiple times. Then the day came and it was a disaster. The crew showed up late, with no idea what they were doing. None of the information that I had spent time and effort providing was given to them. The movers were slow at moving already packed boxes from two bedroom house, so much so that we had to return to check on them. They tasked with packing up the kitchen, and left so many items in cupboards, and such a mess after we bought them pizzas for lunch. They left items in the house - the vacuum cleaner, various items in the utility room. So many items were left at the old house that we had to make over 6 return trips in the car to clean up after them. They damaged items, our BBQ grill cover was completely ripped, our sons chest of drawers was ruined, our kayak cover was ripped, our dining room table was scraped, our baby's crib was damaged. They did not adequately take care of the items during removal from the house, leaving marks on walls and during transit they were clearly moving around in the van. Items went missing and we had to inform the police. To top all of this off, the customer service is shocking..... We moved over a month ago, and we have had to chase up our complaints to try and recover some of the loss. The labor charged was almost double what was quoted, and in the end, the service was appallingly below what was promised and expected. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Read more
