Liars, crooks, thieves!! Avoid at all ...

They hold people hostage by under bidding other movers, then show up the day of the move and extort customers for more than double the price, they demand cash so there’s no IRS record. They took all my boxes took them from square to round. Destroyed furniture, used no blankets as promised. Filthy disgusting workers showed up. Trashed my bathroom with diarrhea!! Took a month to get my stuff which I could have driven in 2 days. These people are crooks! No one knows who owns them because its a fraudulent business! Avoid at all costs ! Run!! Read more

Wrong delivery

Blue Hawk delivered someone ELSE'S luggage to my house. After opening a suitcase I took it upon myself to track the owners down to let them know I had their things. Blue Hawk did not send a shipping label so UPS wouldn't take it. I have talked to owners who are upset. Blue Hawk sent police to my house stating I was holding it hostage. I wanted to know how I got it because I believe they are part of a thieving ring with Scott's Moving and Storage who moved me and stole selective, expensive items, ie, rolling full mechanics toolbox box, new kayak, bookcase, 8' ladder etc, 30 boxes. I wanted to know how since I was from Idaho and these people from LA I received this. I STILL HAVE THE ITEM AND BLUE HAWK WILL NOT RETURN IT TO THE OWNERS OR RESPOND!!!!!! I would suggest NEVER using Blue Hawk and absolutely boycotting and NEVER EVER using the thieving Scott's Moving and storage!!! Read more

Horrible - Poor Service, Slow ...

Before diving into my terrible experience with Blue Hawk Van Lines I want to address the quote score. The quote may appear to be close to the actual amount I paid, but they had originally planned to charge me nearly $3000 before I was able to drag them down to a much more reasonable price. The company quoted me a great price and then when they showed up the quote nearly doubled based on the amount of cubic footage my belongings took up in the truck. The only problem is that my belongings didn't take up nearly as much cubic footage as they claimed, and even once I did the math for them they were needlessly reluctant to adjust the price to the proper amount and they refused to counter my estimates by providing evidence that my belongings were indeed using up as much cubic footage as they claimed. In addition to pricing disputes, the customer service was poor, providing updates only once per week, not calling me back when promised, and avoiding my calls when I reached out to them. On top of all of this, they took more than a full month to deliver my belongings, which would have been disastrous had we not brought all of our essentials in our cars as we drove across the country. Finally, when our belongings did arrive we were lucky that they were not destroyed. Had it not been for the excellent packing job done by my fiancee, we almost certainly would have ended up with a ton of damaged items. Many of the boxes looked as though they had been dropped frequently and many had holes in them or were completely mangled. During unloading they flipped a television box end over end without care for the clearly posted "FRAGILE" on the box, and placed my mattress on the bare ground, covering it in dust and scraping the edges of the mattress on the concrete. They also unpacked and repacked boxes without my permission and without prior request. Avoid this moving company at all costs. Don't even call them. Read more

Don't do it, stay clear

This is one of the worst moving companies. DO NOT fall into their trap of giving you a low price for the quote. But as soon as they get to your house, they with immediately double the price. They basically rob you. It's extremely hard speaking to a manager but once you do you need to negotiate with them. They will tell you any price but don't fall for it because you need everything moved, continue to negotiate and call managers for every inconvenience. They will add a $75 for every flight of stairs. They consider a flight of stairs to be 7 Steps, so every 7 steps you will be paying an extra $75... it took them a whole week to get my stuff on a bigger truck and find a driver. This company is a rip off, and I wish I wouldve done more research before choosing them. And their BS cubic measurements are all wrong, please be prepared to measure it for yourself, or else they'll try and tell you that the dots on the out side of the truck is the cubic feet. It's a wrong. They guy that surveyed my inventory didn't even look at all of my belongings before her boosted the price and that's how I know its all made up. My rep was pretty mindful and got my quote and booking really quick, everything from that point on ran perfectly.
