                                                            This move has been one miscommunication and disappointment after another. Approximately 10 days prior to my pickup date (30 June), my driver indicated that my shipment would arrive in RI on 2 July. After making extensive arrangements to ensure we could be there to receive the shipment I was contacted on 28 June and told it would not arrive any earlier than 5 July, due to the difficulty of finding workers on 4 July. Then yesterday I was told it wouldn't be there until 6 or 7 July and now today I'm being told the 7th or 8th because the moving company is short staffed on the 5th and the driver will be doing local work.  When I called to complain, I was then told it may not arrive until the 9th, our RDD (which I perceived as them saying 'be happy you're getting on the 8th'). Additionally, when the truck arrived to pickup our shipment, it was too full to take the whole shipment. In an effort to fit the shipment, some of my shipment, to include mattresses and a handmade headboard, were wrapped in blankets and plastic and stored on the back of the truck (outside). Originally I was told that the driver would have to come back on the 5th to pick up the remaining portion. When I complained about this, the company arranged to move it to temporary storage so I could clear my house. Now I am being told that that portion of the shipment will likely not arrive by the RDD.  I was also very aggravated by the attitude of the customer service reps. They were not apologetic and just kept explaining how hard it is to know the dates for certain. I understand the operational difficulties of the business, but if you aren't able to nail down a delivery date 10 days out, 1) you're failing at operational planning and says a lot about your business and 2) don't tell a customer a hard date if you don't know.  I will never utilize this company again and recommend against anyone using them. By the way, I have done 5 other moves in my military career and have never had a bad experience.
