Twice the cost and ten times as long - ...

Our first complaint was the grossly deceptive quoted price - the initial estimate was based on a detailed and accurate inventory. There were minor changes at loading, which actually reduced volume, however after loading the truck we were informed of an additional charge of more than $2,500 – a huge increase over the initial estimate of $3,568. At that point, we were closing on our house and had no choice but to proceed. Our second, and most frustrating, complaint is the delivery time frame - not only were our items over a month late, but the company was unresponsive and/or misleading with us regarding delivery time. Initially they stated a delivery time of 5-7 days; our items were picked up 6/20 and not delivered until 8/5 (yes - *46* days later!), which is a violation of federal guidelines. We began calling weekly in July and, when we were actually able to get a hold of someone (about once every four tries) each time were told the delivery would be on it's way in a day or two. This misleading info caused us to reschedule trips and cause other hardships (having to buy household goods, clothes, etc.). Finally, when our items were delivered, our TV was broken, our dining table was broken, and our couch was missing. The whole experience was a nightmare - run far far away from this company! It was almost effortless

Heartland van lines was just amazing while they handled our move from Davie, FL to Fort Worth, TX. Their performance was much better than average. I have seen the terrible movers but these men were nothing like them. They maintained the appointment time and worked very efficiently throughout. They were extra careful while handling my glassware. They dealt with every unforeseen issue with great expertise. I will surely hire them again. Read more

I am amazed at their professionalism. Thanks to them, my move was exceptional. I am so satisfied that I chose these guys to move me. They packed everything very fast and the whole moving procedure was done in a couple of hours. It did not cost much; actually the quote was pretty low. DON'T USE THIS MOVING COMPANY

Trans Van Lines/Heartland Moving Company is a terrible company to do business with. If at all possible, go with someone else. If I could give them a negative rating, I would. My father passed away and I started calling moving companies to get quotes so I could move to be with my mom. Trans Van Lines / Heartland gave me the cheapest quote. They claimed they were not a broker company and had their own trucks. After reading some of the reviews about the company, I was concerned and called the supervisor. Concerns like increasing the price once movers got to your location, contracting out to get local movers to move you, and hold your items hostage), just to name a few. I expressed to him of my concerns and he assured me that I wouldnt have any problems like that. I even sent Mr. Chris Johnson pictures of my house and belonging that where to be moved and he said it would only be a couple of hundred dollars more, but to my surprise. The cost went from $4600, to $13,000. Of course I could not get in contact with him at all during in move day. The movers where local guys and did have a big enough truck to load all my items. They had to make several trips to put items in storage and come back to reload. The move took two days vice one. The only reason I did it was because I had to be out of my house and other moving companies that I had takes to were booked for that time frame. The only good thing is they gave me 75 days free of storage, but was it really free and the moving guys where good. Respectful crew

Most of my furniture are old and passed down through generations. I required Hartland van lines to be really careful while handling those pieces. They really showed a lot of respect and skills while moving those old pieces. They used adequate packing materials and didn’t clutter the van. I was still worried about them when my pieces were on route. But fortunately, they delivered all my furniture in great condition and on time. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the bill. Stress-free move

The good men from Hartland van lines made our move seem too easy. They were punctual, attentive and very professional. The whole packing and loading process of a 4-bedroom house took them just 2 hours. Not only were they fast, they were good at the job too. The proof is that none of my valuables suffered the slightest bit of damage on the way. They even unpacked and assembled my furniture at my new house.
