They did a pretty good job!

Well they gave me an estimate and then it ended up being about twice what the estimate was, so I was a bit disappointed in that. But other than that, they did a pretty good job. There were a couple things that got scratched, I wish hadn't have. I didn't bring that up to them, I can fix the scratch. All in all, I'd say they did alright! Read more

horrible

I purchased a voucher through living social for 2 hours of service. I scheduled my day and time with no problem and was lead to believe that they would be there at the scheduled time. The day of the move they called me to let me know they would be a little late (not a big deal). Well I contacted them at 2 to figure out an ETD and was told that he was trying to finish up a job and should be after it. I called again at 4 and was told they were cross town finishing up paper work and should be there in approximately 40 minutes. At that point I just cancelled the appointment (mainly bc my fiance and I had moved nearly everything already). What angered me the most was when the mover told me that the appointment was not a guaranteed time but a window. What is the point of scheduling a time for a service if you're just going to show up whenever you want. We have moved 4 times in the last 5 years and have used movers each time. We have never had anyone not give us an exact time when they would arrive and them ever be more than 10 minutes late (even when we lived in Atlanta where traffic is horrible). While I can't prove it, I feel that since we had a voucher from living social I feel like we were treated differently and had our time pushed back further and further. The outcome though was I called living social and got a full cash refund. I would strongly suggest you avoid Hood Movers at all cost. Horrible customer service and nothing but excuses. Seriously if I had to chose between donating bone marrow and these guys I would need some time to think it over. Read more

Crew was professional and nice but not ...

It was okay until the very end. At the end of the day what happened was we had stuff that went into our apartment and stuff that went into our long-term storage. My husband marked everything very clearly and when they were moving in all of a sudden, or I guess there was not communication, that they wanted to go back home that night. So they put a big push on and what happened was that some of our stuff that was supposed to go in our apartment is now stored in our long-term storage that we can't get to. So I wasn't very happy about that. They weren't very careful. And the other thing is when they tore down our house and moved our stuff out of the house, they left part of our big TV because they couldn't get it out of the wall and they didn't mention anything to us. My husband could have rectified that. So we got here with sort of half of our TV. They were very nice, they were very professional but those were kind of some really annoying things considering we spent almost $12,000 to move. That was my experience. Read more

Awesome service

I thought they were awesome. Their pricing was reasonable and I did receive all the services that I requested. I would recommend them to friends and family, but I live by myself in Chattanooga and they are based out of Chattanooga. They do come to Florida and stuff but I don't really have any family here to recommend them, most of my family is in Minnesota. Read more

easiest move EVER

Did great job with all of our boxes and stuff. Took great care with wrapping our older furniture and making sure everything was carefully taken so it would not break. They were great working with our hours and limited time frame for moving to the extent they had control, being willing to work late into the night. It is clear they really know what they are doing. Not a good company

The company is very bad. Bad training. Bad professionalism. Doesn't deal with claims. Doesnt stick to the price quoted. I looked it up and legally he can't do that so now i'm forced to pursue it legally. I am out of chattanooga now so won't have the option to use them again.. but I want to make sure eveyone else knows what I went through. Do not use this company. I really don't think they will be in business long at this rate. Read more
