Terrible experience

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. There was not one good thing we experienced with them. Kept increasing price as the move progressed. Packing was terrible, mixed clothing in with garage items. Just threw kitchen items in boxes. Said we had 300 boxes when delivered only 124 boxes were counted. Took advantage of two elderly women. Very rude and would not unload until we gave them a tip and charged us another $3500. Please do not call them unless you are a boxer. Read more

Bogus Moving company

Picked up our furniture and personal items from Tomball, Tx and was supposed to deliver them in Heathrow Florida on 08/09/2021. It has been six weeks and this company has not delivered, I'm told that our stuff is in a warehouse in Michigan! They have no idea when they will deliver our stuff and even had the nerve to tell us we can pick it up in Michigan and they would pay uf $250.00, Do not trust this company with your moving needs! DO NOT USE

Do not by any means hire these frauds! I set up a move using Alliance Van Lines who just subcontract with some random "moving" company. When they arrived they redid the estimate and nearly doubled it, and refused to deliver my items until I could pay the full amount in cash or money order only. After you give a date to deliver they tell you they will take up to 21 days to deliver, basically whenever they feel like it. At delivery I found some of my boxes were CLEARLY opened! With items I specifically remember being packed together being in separate boxes. They also lost a couple of my items and when I called they claimed they could not be found and referred me to a just a fraudulent claims company. They will also leave your place completely trashed with their moving supplies. DO NOT USE EITHER OF THESE COMPANIES!!! If you already have be sure to file a complaint at https://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/protect-your-move/how-to/moving-fraud Read more

Household Hauling is a SCAM

Alliance Van Lines(also a scam) brokered my move to Household Hauling. I was moving during a busy time and didn't do enough research. The FAKE positive reviews about Alliance were enough for my to schedule a move. BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE. Here is the laundry list of red flags and reasons not to use Alliance or Household Hauling: -_Clearly fake online positive reviews of Alliance and Household Hauling -_Alliance was created to sound similar to Allied van lines -_Would not provide an in home inspection of household goods -_Deliberately providing low-ball estimate. Raised price at pick-up. Loaded goods prior to providing new estimate. This is a federal violation. -_Did not disclose length of time to deliver household goods. When I inquired they said up to 10 days, then 10 business days, then 21 business days. Delivery was picked up on 7/7, as of 8/1 I still have not received my shipment -_On moving day a Rental truck arrived instead of an owned or marked fleet truck -_Alliance did not indicate that they were “brokers” -_Charged based on space in truck instead of weight, illegal is most states -_Took a deposit and collected 50% of remainder at pick-up -_Movers were not dressed in uniform -_Movers hired additional help that were not professional movers -_Additional estimate was $4900, was charged $6800 -_Could only pay in cash or money order -_Home office sales and service individuals used a one letter initial and not a real last name -_Did not disclose that household goods would be placed in storage I have no idea if and when I will ever receive my delivery. The entire experience has place tremendous stress on my entire family. At this point my kids start school in 11 days. I've never been more disgusted and felt so scammed in my entire life. I have reported Household Hauling to the DOT, FL Attorney General, BBB, and any consumer advocacy site I can find. Company has one customer service agent who does not respond to email and provides zero information. Th Read more

Awful and Not Trustworthy

Alliance Van Lines subcontracted Household Hauling for our move. We did not know that Alliance Van Lines was a broker company and since we had to move from Chicago to New Haven in 7 days when Household Hauling showed up we had no choice but to allow them to load our stuff. The estimate that we initially agreed on with Alliance Van Lines was $1950, but Household Hauling charged us over $3400 for the move. Again, since we had no other choice we had to agree with the new contract. The first delivery date was agreed as 6/29/2019, and as of today 7/22/2019, we have not received our stuff. We have been living in an empty apartment ever since and my husband and I are in immense distress. We have contacted Ashley at Household Hauling several times. Ashley is very rude and has no sympathy for what we are going through. My husband pleaded with her to send us our stuff and mentioned that "I know this might not be within your authority, but I would greatly appreciate it if you could send us our stuff", to which she replied, "No it is within my authority". I am 16 weeks pregnant and the emotional distress is putting me and my unborn child at risk. My husband has mentioned all of this to Ashley and the last time he talked with her she denied everything. I do not know what else to do and I am extremely frustrated and mostly worried about the well-being of my unborn child. I blame Alliance Van Lines and Household Hauling if anything happens to us and am ready to take legal actions against them. Read more
