At Transporting Vehicles, every shipment begins with our truck picking household goods and dropping off at the destination address. We never charge for door to door service, it is included in our already low price.
Open carriers are generally the most cost effective way for car shipping. The average open car carrier will hold between 8 and 11 vehicles, depending on the size of the vehicles. The more vehicles you put on a transport, the less expensive it is per vehicle. In an open carrier, the driver has more flexibility in how the load is positioned allowing more vehicles to be loaded.
There are 2 basic types of enclosed vehicle transports, "Soft Side" and "Hard Side Hydraulic Lift Gate." Any move on an enclosed carrier is going to cost more money than a move on an open transport. Enclosed transports are only able to fit 6 to 8 cars and trucks in most cases.
