The move was not all that good; ...
The move wasn’t all that good. The moving services weren’t fully explained at the outset. We were told one price, and then when the truck came with the driver, we had to pay more money. No one came to the house to look at everything. I explained everything on the phone. It wasn’t what we anticipated. At that point, we didn’t have much choice, so we paid it. They said we should have our clothes and furniture in a reasonable time period, but that wasn’t the case. They made two deliveries. One was stuff we didn’t need. We needed our clothes, but they delivered the furniture first. And the clothes came like a week and a half later. It wasn’t actually all that good.

The whole lot was cooperative, ...
They were a bunch of strong men. Even though I can't say the same thing about their manager, the team was great. He was kind of a weird guy. And the service was very quick. Estimate-wise also, they were right on the target. There was a small incident when the truck broke down, but it wasn't their fault -- this can happen in a move.

Not the best experience
United Transport picked up our load well in advance and stored it in their local warehouse before delivering it as scheduled. They did a beautiful job wrapping our furniture in blankets, bubble wrap, and taping them up. We felt good seeing the furniture leave. When we got the furniture at the destination, they had lost one of 8 dining room chars and evey box we had packed looked like they had been throiugh a war. We had maybe 5 dishes broken - a tribute to our packing skills. Sadly I would not use them again. P.S. - There was a small surcharge for some of the consumable packing materials and for distance from truck to condo at the destination - the latter which we expected.

Nightmare Move
United Transport Inc of Florida provided us with a constant stream of false promises. We had a binding estimate -- and I tweaked it quite a bit to make sure everything was included and also to see how the prices changed with adding or subtracting items.....................then we made the "huge" mistake of substituting some boxes for a king size bed with approx same wt/volume. That gave them the excuse at pickup to insist on a whole new contract.
This new contract not only added an imaginary extra 50 cu feet for this substitution, but it also added a fuel charge, elevator charge, extra stop charge, first flight of stairs charge and double long carry charge -- all of which were included in the original price in the binding estimate. They also changed the delivery date from "up to 21 calendar days" (but verbally promised delivery long before that), to a delivery date of 31 business days after the first available delivery date.
They loaded our stuff for about an hour before whipping out this new contract -- and threatened to keep all the stuff they loaded plus a $500 cancellation fee if we didn't agree to sign the new contract. Add to that the mover Alan who was loud, threatening, disrespectful, mocking, overbearing etc.
Then they forgot to mention there would be an extra $350 shuttle fee for all destinations.
A main reason I picked them was good reviews on here and everywhere, minimum complaints on the BBB and DOT. That information was obviously all false
