$ 1 6 7 4 to PARTIALLY move a three ...
I hired All My Sons to move my 3-bedroom house a few miles down the road. They sent over two young kids and a reasonable sized truck. I thought, well, they might be stronger than they look. It took the new guy about 15 minutes to try to figure out how to get the paperwork together for me to sign - part of which was the fact that I was paying them for this 15 minutes. Glad they used me as the guinnea pig for him. The first item they moved was the kitchen table. Wrapped it up beautifully and I thought the move would be great. Well that was the last thing they were careful with the rest of the move and I thought one of the guys was going to blow a gasket just moving that table. About six hours into this, I was getting very worried. I went to talk to one of them and about died when I saw inside the truck. I had carefully boxed and stacked most of our boxable belongings inside the garage. They had taken them all and spent a ton of time re-stacking them floor to ceiling. Didn't matter if the boxes were marked fragile or heavy, they just kept stacking. I could already see the boxes giving out under the weight. After we they had burned through the first eight hours, they had finally hauled the first load to the new house. Instead of moving the boxes into the rooms they belonged, they just piled them into the garage. The clapped their hands and asked to settle up. I couldn't believe it, they had only moved about half of my house (in the time it should have taken for the full house) and they figured they were done for the day. I said "what about the rest of my house". You know, like the freezer, washer and dryer, and all the rest. They looked disgusted and said "you know you'll be in overtime pay". I said "do I have a choice?". So they hurredly (it was a Friday and they wanted to go party after all) threw the big things in, ran the house and dumped them into the garage. This left approximately 1/4 of my stuff still in the house to move. When I looked into the truck, stuff was everywhere including the food from the freezer. They hadn't even wrapped it or even threw a piece of tape on it. They didn't even say a word about it. Pretended nothing had happened, threw the food back in and called it a day. Now here's the kicker. They charged me $1674 for this partial move. You can't highlight in this editor, so let me try to make this sick out. Almost $ 1 7 0 0 to PARTIALLY move a three bedroom house a few miles down the road. In fact, i'll copy this to the top. I used to do my moves with the help of just my kids. Unfortunately I have Parkinson's now and just can't do that anymore. It took four more days and two U-Haul rentals to finish what they didn't. I thought about trying to make a claim, but after reading the reviews here, it seemed like a big exercise in futility. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
