Scratches, dents and breakage

I hired Paul Burleson based upon a reference from a family member. He quoted me $90 per hour which I felt was reasonable. I did not realize that he had only one small truck and 2 untrained helpers. Due to the size of the truck, it took approximately 8 loads to move my things. Each trip was 2 hours round trip for a grand total of $1440 in travel costs for a local move. Our things were moved to storage since the house we were moving to wasn't ready. When we unpacked the storage building we found several items that were scratched, dented, dinged or broken. Strange thing was that it only took 4 loads a similar sized truck to unload the storage units. One of the broken items was a dining room table leg which was approx 4" in diameter. There were no moving pads used to protect our furniture while it was in storage nor was this service offered.
