Very efficient, very fast

George and his team were very friendly and very good at moving! They moved us out of our 2 br apt and into our new place in fewer than 5 hours. We had our baby with us and they were very careful to work around baby's schedule. Also very COVID safe.

Great move!

George and his team did a great job moving us from our downtown Brooklyn apartment to Williamsburg. His team was polite, efficacious, punctual and diligent, attending to even our most demanding belongings.

Bait

They quoted me a 4 hr estimate for a standard 1 bedroom move and they ended up taking 8 hours for no reason. Since they charge by the hour,the incentive is to take as long as possible and overcharge you. They get their customers by providing a reasonable price/time estimate,and on the day of the move,once I was already stuck with this service,the team of 3 men they sent worked so inefficiently that the move took 8 hours instead of 4! 2 of the 3 men were mostly standing by the truck talking the whole time while waiting for the third one to slowly disassemble my furniture and to wrap it on his own,which created a huge bottleneck. The other 2 would then proceed to move/load it only once an item was available. On top of that,they basically damaged almost every single furniture piece they moved: my pull out couch does not pull out anymore,they damaged coffee table,tv stand,and cabinet etc And nothing says unprofessional more than damaging my tv screen,which is clearly a fragile item! I complained to the company about the lazy,inefficient job they did,and they completely ignored it. I was supposed to pay around $820 but instead it cost $1815 for no reason! Plus all the damages i have to cover. Also,none of the 3 workers wore masks despite the pandemic and although we prompted them to! I deeply regret having used them,i would strongly suggest you stay away. Either complete the move yourself or hire a company that does not use a bait and switch and provides a reliable quote!

Horrible Scammers

DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS. THEY ARE SCAMMERS WHO WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY! I wish I could give them negative stars. Here's what happened: I got an initial quote from a guy named Daniel for $960 for my pack and move from NYC to CT. He told me via email that it was a FLAT RATE which included everything. I confirmed this with him several times. I also called and told them I had some items to be discarded and confirmed the small extra cost for that. Flash forward to my move day, the movers come and are pissed they have to pack the apartment and dispose of those items because no one told them about that. Umm.... what? We didn't even have that much stuff and had packed most of our clothes already. When the move is finished, it's after the office is closed and the foreman tells me my TOTAL IS OVER $2700. The guys refuse to leave until I pay them that amount and I had a 2 month old baby so I needed these big scary dudes to leave. They told me we could call and "get a refund." Ok sure. So I end up speaking with some horrible guy named Roy in their complaints department who offers me a $200 refund after accusing me several times of having "more stuff" which I certainly did not. What a joke. Eventually after numerous complaints to them and the BBB I get that offer raised to $600, but then he stops responding to my emails. They owe me over $1500 and refuse to even come close to that number. I understand Daniel's quote was wrong from the beginning, but that is their problem, not mine. I am going to continue to fight this until I get my money back, because scamming a young family with a baby is effed up and we really need that money.

DON'T USE THESE GUYS

Worst move EVER. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS Estimate - Charged me $1000 over the quote, NEVER got an invoice detailing why. Called customer service 6 before getting a call back. Move - Movers FORGOT MY STUFF at my old place. Was not reimbursed for finishing the move myself even though that's what they TOLD me to do. They wanted me to sign something saying I would not write a bad review if I wanted the reimbursement. Of course they didn't tell me that when they told me to do it, only when I sent them the invoice to get my money back. The letter they sent actually said that taking the money meant I was satisfied with my move. WHAT?!?!? So you forget my stuff, don't call me back, I have to hire other people to finish, go out of my way and back to my old apt to supervise the 2nd move and you think I am going to say I was satisfied and not write bad reviews for $200?!?!?!? BAHAHAHAHAHA. When I told him that was unethical they didn't even bother to reply... Packing - The packers don't close any open containers so be ready for your lotions, oils, soaps, and anything else that can leak to leak. They just throw them in a box. They don't even bother to stand them up straight. Since they sell you the packing materials they over wrap EVERYTHING and boxes are half full. They broke the edge of my big mirror. Guess they hoped I wouldn't notice and I had a brand new switchblade go missing... Movers - They were pleasant enough but they ate the snacks I had laying around the house and drank about 6 cans of coke from my fridge without asking. They used the bathroom and left streaks on the toilet. Luckily I was moving out so I didn't care but I didn't let them use the bathroom in my new place. Save yourself some agony and use anybody else

Horrible, stay away

Horrible experience. I called Russel (the imperial account manager/salesman) and he talked a big game and gave me a quote that he said was the top of the line I will be paying. After all was moved and done I ended up paying 40% more. This is for a 1 bedroom apartment, where I had plastic bins all packed, and the new place was less that 10 minute drive. The movers took their sweet time loading the truck. I know this, as I used to work as a mover, and I know that loading plastic bins into the truck should not take 50 mins per batch, for them however it took exactly this much. Every time that would load stuff and bring it down to the truck, the 3 of them would not be back up for 40 - 50 minutes. Again, I know how long this takes, and this was just them dragging the time out. Russel basically lied to me, He asked me about every furniture piece, and how many boxes I had, which I did tell him, there was an extra 5 plastic bins than I originally said, but everything else was exactly as I said to him over the phone. This was also confirmed by the movers when they showed up, as they had everything written down. The estimate ceiling he gave me was 5 hours, by the end of it all they took 7.5 hours. Just the 10 minute drive took them close to an hour. Basically, just don't bother with this company, and definitely don't trust anything Russel or any other salesman from that company tell you

VERY INFORMATIVE

Seamless and stress free experience with Imperial. They really made sure I had knowledge of everything I was getting into. The rep I spoke to answered all my questions and beyond explained what they base their quote off of. Even the movers explained what they were doing as they wrapping up my furniture and packing my dishes. Lovely experience. Definitely recommend. It's always good to ask questions to understand to the fullest. Thank you for being so patient with me. I am an extremely satisfied customer! :D

Great Experience

I've had a wonderful experience with Imperial. It was my first time dealing with a moving company and they made it very easy for me. They came highly recommended and now I know why. They were very helpful.

Very unprofessional and non reliable

They gave me estimated delivery With in 21 days. It has been a month Since then and they have twice extended it. I have already paid the whole amount and still living here in limbo with 2 small children. Highly unprofessional and exploitative Would nievet anybody to hire them.
