Smart Van Lines LLC/AM Moving Services/Perfect Van Lines (all the same people) are holding possessions hostage and purposely inflating the estimates, getting people to sign them, forcing them to pay and then saying if you don't like it go to the police. The good reviews were bought in a review farm, they are fake. Run far away from these companies.

SMART VAN LINES IS HOLDING MORE THAN HALF OF MY MERCHANDISE, PAID THEM CLOSE TO $10,000 AND THEY ONLY DELIVERD LESS THAN HALF-AND ALMOST ALL OF THE DELIVERED ITEMS WERE SMASHED, DAMAGED AND DESTROYED!! YOU CAN NEVER GET AHOLD OF THE MAN TOM, WHO WAS THE DRIVER, FINALLY HE CUT MY SON OFF AND BLOCKED HIM ONE OF THE WORST EXPERIENCES IN MY LIFE, THEY ARE HOLDING IMPORTANT TAX DOCUMENTS THAT I NEED!!

Awful, do not use!!

This company was awful, they didn't protect any of our stuff, almost everything is damaged, probably 10% of our stuff simply never showed up (i.e. stollen). They didn't provide services promised (beyond protecting our stuff), they were supposed to carry the stuff into our house and put it where we asked and set up beds/furniture. They simply dropped it in my garage and were going to just put stuff on the street if I didn't make enough space in the garage. On pick-up, they took most of the stuff but couldn't fit everything in the truck, they said they'd come and get the rest the next morning. I said that was fine as long as it was before noon (when we closed on the house). They never came the next day. The following day they still didn't come. The house is no longer mine! I had to rent a u-haul and take the stuff to my in-laws house where it sat for a week before they finally actually came and got it. When they delivered our stuff, they refused to open the door for me to even look at the stuff until I had paid them and signed the contract. I see why they did that because literally everything was damaged, boxes were crushed, water damage, etc. They did not wrap anything with blankets, the corners of everything were damaged, almost all of the boxes looked water damaged, many books were damaged and crushed, they didn't take any care to protect any of our stuff. I caught the guy unloading the truck just shoving boxes down the ramp. When offering a settlement, they didn't even stick to their own contract of .60 cents a pound, and offer you a laughably small amount and leave you with no recourse. Whatever you do, do not use this moving company, you have been warned!

Best Move!

To be honest, I was skeptical of hiring anyone. You hear all the horror stories about priceless heirlooms being broken or lost and I just didn’t know if I wanted to take that chance, you know? I mean, I don’t own anything of value to speak of but what I did own I wanted to keep in good condition. It turns out that they did break something of mine on accident, but they were so apologetic and handled everything appropriately that I just couldn’t be mad. They didn’t leave me hanging as if they didn’t care. I could tell they were sincere and genuine. I’d probably use them again even though my vase was broken.

They did a really good job! Smart van lines called and confirmed our appointment on the day off and moved with the two other guys so quick! Nothing was damaged; everything was well taken care of. They took very good care of our furniture with the proper equipment. They were super kind and fun to work with. I would definitely recommend them.

HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL MOVERS

It’s not very often that our family decides to move. We need to relocate for my husband’s company. Our kids are all older and it’s the first time that we have moved it over three decades. Since it was just us and we do have a fairly large house, we definitely needed help. Smart van lines did just that for us. We decided that it would be best if we bought packing services remember moving company. That is exactly what we did. It definitely did save us time as well as helped our stress levels. I just moved used Smart Van Lines. Overall experience was satisfactory; the loaders were very professionals and were well trained for their job. They handled the appliances and fragile stuff well. All the fragile ware was marked to distinguish easily. This is what one wants from a packing and moving company. No damage and affordable prices. The cost of moving was reasonable as compared to some other quotes I received and was worth every penny in terms of the services provided. I have had a very good overall home moving experience. The guys even helped me to unpack some stuff voluntarily. This was nice of them and reflects highly on the values of the organization. I would recommend anyone to try out Smart Van Lines.

Top notch service

Smart van lines was one of the first five companies that called us. When you first met your information they list off the companies that should be calling so you don’t get calls from random companies. We spoke to them just like we spoke to everybody else but got the best price in the end from them. We also got the most amount of space so that was an extra incentive to move forward. Everybody that works there has been there for a very long time and you can tell by the way that they talk. You can also tell by the way that they listen. We used them to move our 3 bed room furniture. They were amazing from the start to the finish of the job. So efficient, fast, friendly and accommodating. There was not one single thing that could have been improved. I wish they were a national company! If you have any sort of moving needs I cannot recommend Smart van lines highly enough. I moved without any stress

These are the kind of people you can trust right from the first meeting. These are the type of people you find yourself getting along with barely few minutes after your first encounter. They are so friendly and I found an easy time getting along with them during my relocation. In fact, the work seemed a lot faster and easier with their multiple stories. I did not even realize that we were winding up until the last sofa set was packed. It was such a lovely relocation. I am still grateful to Smart van lines fraternity. Even in days to come, I will still be thankful for all that they did to me. That one was beyond monetary gains; it was passion and willingness to assist. The services were offered who heartedly. nothing has arrived

its been 4 weeks and I still have no clue where my belongings are they claimed the truck needed work and never left Florida for 2 weeks last week they said it was in Texas its been 4 weeks they wont answer my calls or texts I'm beginning to think this company is a scam and thieves. I obtained quotes from 5 movers and attempted to make a decision on who to hire by carefully examining the estimates and the company reputations. After my research, I ended up with more questions than answers. Between all the fine print and bad reviews, I threw out the 5 estimates and called a friend of mine who's an executive at a major corporation. He told me they use Smart van lines to move relocate their people. I called them and in a matter of minutes I hired them to handle my move. They did a great job. Glad I found them. Would highly recommend them.

Such a good company

When I move, the first thing I am worried about the heavy objects and the valuables. I know that I can't carry heavy things by myself and I also know that I shouldn't be trusted carrying valuable things, I am a total clutz; which is why I relied on Smart van lines. While not only working quickly and efficiently, they treat your belongings like their own. They are very gracious and cautious about how they handle things. I would highly recommend hiring Smart van lines.

5 star performance

Phenomenal professional are the two words that come to mind. We moved once maybe about 20 years ago and it was an awful experience, so I went into this as a skeptic. They took it slow with me knowing my past and made sure that anytime I had a question to be sure to ask it. They were dedicated to make this the best move I’ve ever had. I was constantly called by members of their departments to see if there are any last-minute changes to my items were my schedule. Everything from that point on was flawless. They have it set up in a way where if one person missing something or another will catch it and that I loved. Can’t thank you enough for the work that you did you guys work so hard to make me and my family happily and that we will never forget.

My suggestion would be to call them right away. I spent a lot of time researching the best company but I don’t know why I bothered because Smart van lines is the best long distance mover out there. They sent us a great crew that was 100% professional and honest. They were worth every penny I paid and honestly I would have paid more for the great service and care I received.

Moving genius

They came the day I called for a quote-did the quote and scheduled the move 3 days later. The same crew packed, moved as well as delivered everything. Manager as well as coordinators was in contact with me the whole time following up and offering extra assistance. The private building we were moving out of was so impressed they asked for contact information for Smart van lines so they could recommend the company themselves for their residents.

Moving can be really expensive, you want to make sure you go with a company that is going to stick by you through and through. I never lost contact with Smart van lines as has happened to me in the past with another mover which cost me time and money. I work for Coca-Cola corporate and had to relocate for my new promotion. These movers were wonderful they took the time to introduce themselves and make sure they got everything I needed to be packed up. Not only were they courteous but they were also very careful with all my belongings. These guys were great, nice and efficient I will definitely be using them again.

I am happy with this move because my time was not in any way wasted by the movers. Unlike my past movers who often sit around and delay the entire job, these guys worked all through. I used Smart van lines to move my belongings. I have to admit that they did a very good job. The price was very reasonable and the service was way above the average. Moving a piano is always hard but these guys are real pros. They made the move look very easy. Wonderful moving company

My wife and I moved using this amazing company- Smart van lines. We had to consolidate two bedrooms full of furniture into one bedroom apartment. I have to say that this experience with them was great. We used this company for both - packing and the move. We were extremely satisfied with how the guys did the job. Our team of movers was really friendly, kind and courteous the entire time. Should I mention how professional and efficient they were as well! When I phoned the company, I talked to their sales rep, a very friendly and knowledgeable man who explained the entire moving procedure to me. He made the whole process very easy and worked with us on the pricing. I must say that our entire thing arrived intact at our apartment, nothing got damaged or broken. The movers were extremely professional and they did a great job. I must say that I had no complaints at all. When we had to pay, we paid exactly the amount we agreed on before. So, there were no hidden costs or fees. We would hire Smart van lines again.

They are amazing

On moving day they arrived promptly and ready to work. Those guys were like moving ninjas! They also brought a bunch on extra boxes, including garment boxes, just in case. They packed the truck expertly and all of our stuff fit into a 26 foot truck. The whole process lasted about 5.5 hours! They worked so fast and are very efficiently. I also appreciated that they laid floor protectors in our new house and they were very careful to not scratch the new hardwood floors! Overall I would totally recommend!

These guys are just awesome

Detailed, organized, a great sense of humor from every single employee, really beautiful art on their trucks, and I was moved in under the estimated timeframe- that’s Smart van lines. This was a breakup move, and my crew was sensitive and tactful as well as cheered me up with dumb (great) jokes. When my new landlord called halfway through the move at 2pm to let me know the previous tenant in my new apartment would not be out until 10pm that night, the crew came up with the solution of putting my stuff in the new building's basement and offered to come back the next day to move it up to the apartment (it wasn't necessary, but sweet all the same). Really solid people, efficient yet chill, and the price was right. I recommend them to everyone I know in this country navigating a move.

STAY AWAY IF YOU EVER WANT TO SEE YOUR ...

…. I can’t believe this … I should’ve listened to the other reviews … about 90% of my boxes were destroyed in ways I didn’t even think possible, like SIDES completely ripped open. HOW DO YOU EVEN DO THAT?!?!?! …. Everything looked like it went through a hurricane. And I was told I shouldn’t be using these boxes … They’re MOVING BOXES, that’s what they’re for, what the f*ck?!?!?! … Lost the legs to my office desk, a glass top to my floor lamp, god knows what else. EVERYTHING has scratches on it. Workout equipment had giant gashes in the soft foam parts, completely scratched up my bicycle and coffee table. ALSO, BEWARE! They WILL try to f*ck you over. I wasn’t there when they picked up my things, so EVERYTHING on the form was marked as “scratched” when they picked it up just so they don’t have to worry about it. What a sh*t a*s company … I hope they all go to hell.

Smart van lines is a great moving company around! I knew I picked a good one because they are the only moving company who bothered to pick up the phone and personally call me after I sent an inquiry email for a quote. They were very friendly, professional and very honest and upfront about EVERYTHING. Their prices are very reasonable and they don't nickel and dime you for things. No surprises on the cost at the end of the move when it's time to pay. Great, professional, caring movers! Thank you for making my move day a little less stressful. Nicely done

The move out crew from Smart van lines was so amazing. I asked my home office to assign the same crew to deliver and set up in new home; they did and the guy who led the team in both old home and new was the best mover you will ever find. Everything was packed with extreme caution and nothing was damaged; everything was explained in great detail and they were courteous; always asking questions to be sure I was ok with a piece of the move; they also gave great advice at the new home if I didn't know where to put something!! I am totally impressed with their work and will definitely hire them again when I need to move. Also, they are ridiculously “affordable”- a word you simply don’t use about moving companies anymore!

Had one of the best moves of my life! The guys who came to my home were very courteous and understanding. They were cautious and careful when handling certain items that I told them were important to me. They are definitely a company I would use again and recommend to all of my friends. Very nice movers

The team from Smart van lines was very nice and courteous. They politely asked if they could take a lunch break several hours in and I was grateful that they would have even considered working through their lunch to finish the project. My only issue was the quote was more of an estimate than the final price. In hindsight, the crew may have been too small. I don't remember if I had the option to request three movers or not. When I disputed the final amount they immediately apologized and assured me they would issue a partial refund. It took a while to get refunded because of technology issues, though the manager himself circled back with me and fixed everything. Otherwise I was very, very happy with their help and service. I highly recommend these guys!
