Nightmare Movers! Crashed 2nd moving ...

Nightmare Move! Nightmare Company! The company sent 2 trucks to cover our move. They loaded up and in the 10 mile drive to the new house the driver of the second truck rammed into the back of the first truck. The impact was so bad they had to cut the helper out of the cab. At this point Kevin at Adams would like me to mention that we signed a standard contract which states they would pay .60 per pound for damaged items, however who could have anticipated this situation. The first truck arrive after several hours and unloaded a pile of destroyed and damaged items. Both my husband and I immediately asked if the people were going to be alright. The injuries seemed minor and we thankful for that. They insisted on receiving their full fee at this time. My husband had to take a second day off from work when the items from the second truck were delivered two days later. Some items including 3 custom made dining chairs were not delivered because they were completely destroyed. During both delivers we were told "Don't worry we'll take care of you". Well, $3000+ worth of damage, 1 extra day of pay and $2000+ in fees later we received a check for $390.00. When I called Kevin all he could say is you signed the contract and we have 2 trucks out of service, as if somehow the 2 smashed trucks were our fault. When I threatened bad reviews to anyone who would listen he "said go ahead, it doesn't matter to us". I say if this stops 1 person from using them I did my job. Worst business experience ever

I have used a number of moving companies and never had a problem or an issue, until now. I am not sure how Adam's moving stays in business. STAY FAR FAR AWAY. The day started out alright (with the movers showing up only about 15-30 minutes later). However, about an hour in, the movers started repeatedly talking about the tip they were expecting to receive. My wife informed them that if they do a good job they could expect to receive a tip on the credit card when she paid them. Apparently, that absolutely set them off, since they insistent on being paid a large tip in cash. When my wife indicate that she just didn't carry much cash on her, they started yelling at her, indicating that they were "pissed off" and would work really slowly to run up the charges. A job that should have taken around 10 hours, took 16.5 hours (until 2 in the morning). Items marked "fragile" were thrown around and many items were broken,. They dropped off all our furniture (entertainment center, bed, etc.) in a pile at our new apartment and refused to put any of it back together. Items were missing, pieces were broken, and we are charged over $3,000 DOLLARS FOR IT. When we called and spoke to management to demand a significant refund, his solution was to send his guys (the same ones that had yelled at my wife and refused to do any work, and I'm sure who were even madder knowing that we had gotten them in trouble with the owner) to come later to build the furniture and try to find the missing pieces. Needless to say, my wife had no interest in having the same guys who had treated her horribly come back to try to do that job they were supposed to do in the first place. Do not consider using this moving company if they are the only one available. You are better off doing it yourself. I never write negative reviews and have only had good experiences with moving companies. However, this was seriously the worst service I have ever experienced in my life. Worst experience I ever had in my life. I will never use them again, I will never recommend them. They ruined my furniture, they charged me an extra $150 to bring a mini sofa ... in cash for them to move it over the balcony. Never again will I use them, I won't recommend them to anyone. There are dents and destruction done to my furniture, my bed is put together inside out which I paid extra for in cash because they took it apart. ... Good job, but they under quoted the ...

Very professional. They definitely under quoted my hours by a lot. It carried over to the next day, but I will say that none of my furniture was dinged. They were very professional. Everything was wrapped nicely. I have a lot of tight corners in my house and getting up stairs. They got the job done but just, my only complaint is that they under quoted by like five hours. The move itself went very well

The move itself went very well. I believe that they did [wrap the furniture] yes. No [nothing was damaged]. They were very nice. They did say they were gonna take about a 20 minute lunch break and it ended up being over an hour, and then when I went to give them their tip they didn't seem to like the amount that I gave them. Their attitudes all changed so that was kind of like, "Oh, ok." Yes they did [give me a price quote and] it was [accurate]. Overall it was an alright move and I would probably use them again. I was satisfied with the movers

They were courteous and concerned. They covered the floor with material so they wouldn't scratch anything. I addressed my concerns about a couple pieces of furniture and they took note to it. They were efficient, not too fast and not too slow. They offered to do extra if need be. I was gonna put one of my beds together but the movers said that he would do it for me. I was satisfied with the movers. It was very smooth and they actually with their big truck beat me to the destination by 15 minutes. Read more

There's really nothing to tell. The men were very professional, they protected all my furniture with no incidents. They moved it out of my old house with no problems, and they moved it into my new house and set it up.
