Cost Way More Than What Was Quoted

On June 4,2019,Top Line Moving and Storage charged my Bank of America Visa card $400 for a storage fee that I did not agree to. The storage fee that I agreed to was $110 per month. In addition,the card they used was issued to Top Line Moving and Storage to pay for moving expenses only! At no point did I authorize a automatic debit totaling $400 for monthly storage fees. I have notified Top Line about this fraudulent activity. Additionally,a fraud report was filed against Top Line Moving and Storage with the police department and my bank. Satisfied, but...

I was satisfied with the move, but I did end up paying more than what I was quoted. I was quoted for 2 people, they brought three, it took an hour less than the minimum 4 hour required time and I was still charged that full price. Then on top of that I was charged to move things, even though they chose to wrap things up , because i didn't have things wrapped up before hand. I told them they could put it on the truck and go, but they chose to wrap things up and charge me for the wrapping paper and the tape and to unwrap and all this other stuff that was already included in the quote. So when my final bill was $120 more than I expected, I was pretty upset, then they wouldn't take my coupon that was printed off their website, which they told me they would accept. They Were Great!

Showed up on time, loaded up in short period of time, took good care of everything I was shipping. Arrived and unloaded to where I wanted it to be. Nothing was broken, everything worked out well. I shipped out a motorcycle and some good and everything arrived in pretty good shape. Read more

They hit me with $300 more than what I ...

I wasn't happy. It wasn't that I wasn't happy with their performance--they came on time, they picked up furniture, they moved it to where it had to be, there was no damages. What I wasn't happy with was they hit me with $300 more than what I was quoted. Read more

The loaders were average but the ...

They were prompt, they were quick, they were efficient, but ... I did have some issue with the level of care. When they unloaded, one of my kitchen chairs was substantially damaged ... That quite honestly was just carelessness. ...So that was the biggest thing. The other thing, I was missing a lamp shade and a high end floor mop that actually cost quite a bit of money ... I called the company, they said they would look in the storage. ...The woman (who up until them had been very efficient) ... She said she could fax me the next day once the owner was there ... They never got back to me. ...I was disappointed in those three components, but everything else was good. ...The two guys who unloaded me were excellent, they were very careful, they noticed the broken chair and alerted me to it and made note of it and took a picture of it. It was OK. In terms of the price, it was the best I found. The movers were nice--they kinda argued with one another. You could pick up the tension between the two people they sent. The biggest issue I had was with the people I talked with on the phone. Read more

Very bad experience.

They sent two people, on person didn't do anything hardly. It took them hours to do what should have been done - I had packed up everything myself, so they were just moving the boxes. They started filling up one truck and brought another truck and had to empty that truck. ... They quoted me $1,500 they charged me $2,500, then they said they were discounting me an hour and half it took them to take my stuff out of one truck to another. The company was professional and ...

It was good, it was professional. We were moving from Virginia to North Carolina so it wasn't too far. It took almost like 5 days for me to get the stuff, but they ensured they'd deliver the stuff before the July 4th weekend even though that was a busy weekend for them. Read more

It was horrible

They lured me in with one price. When the movers got there they changed the price. With the delivery, it took two weeks longer than they said it was going to take. When the movers got to my place, I had to call the cops because the mover was refusing to park where I was telling him to park to unload the stuff into my garage. Then he was telling me he was going to have to charge me extra because he was going to have to walk it down the street into the garage because he didn't want to move the truck and that my only other option was for him to leave and charge me daily for storage until I figured out whether or not we were going to move it through the front or get a shuttle. The cops ended up coming and mediating and having him move to where I was asking him to move and putting him where I was asking him to put everything. I watched them take everything down and they just manhandled and mistreated everything. I haven't unpacked everything, but I'm pretty sure there's a lot of broken things. They were just dropping boxes. They busted a box open from another shipment right in front of me and tossed everything back in the box carelessly. It was just horrible. All in all I was happy

They were on time, although there some initial problems in scheduling. They were communicative, they told me what was going on. It was delayed about three or four hours, I understood it was no big deal and at least they came there that day. The employees were good, treated everything as if they owned it. They packed it well and on the end similarly, the truck came when promised. Albeit I didn't know until a couple of days before but I guess that's with all moving companies. The quote was a little over budget but it was a little over weight, so all in all I was happy. Read more

Very displeased with their service

They didn't bring extra boxes for packing and I had to give them garbage bags. After reaching the house the lead mover said I had to pay him now. I argued that I would be paying after the job is finished. They threatened if I don't pay they would take the truck back. Read more
