WORST MOVERS COMPANY - FOR HEAVEN SAKE ...

Worst movers I have ever worked with. They did not deliver my goods as promised and do not have the courtesy to even let me know about the ETA for delivery. At the end of it, they have delivered after 2 months of ordeal and constant follow ups. Very rude team and wish I could log a complaint with government authorities to punish such unprofessional company. ONLY RECOMMENDATION: DON'T EVER PLAN YOUR MOVE THROUGH THIS COMPANY FOR HEAVEN SAKE.

HORRIBLE MOVERS!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Do NOT use Annapolis Best Twins Movers! The driver who came to pick up my stuff in Tampa, Florida that would be transported to San Diego, CA was the craziest and rudest mover I have ever met. His name sounds like jelly without the "j." ABTM were booked via Budget. After we exchanged pleasantries, I asked him for the weight certificate, as Budget told me to do. He became quite upset when I asked and I was very confused as to why. I thought this was standard procedure, according to my communication with Budget. Very tersely and in a rude manner, he said something along the lines of, “Worry about that later. Just show me your stuff.” Shortly after, he told me the remaining balance ($1471.20), and I responded that the amount was correct and that I was paying with my credit card, as I had discussed with Budget. Again, this angered him more because I was not giving him cash, and he said it would be a four percent surcharge. I informed him that Budget said it would be a three percent surcharge. He stormed out of the apartment saying he was calling someone, so I told him I would call Budget. Budget, again, informed me that it is three percent. He, then, said it was three percent. The Budget customer service representative heard him loudly wrapping tape around some of my things. She told me so and I told her that he was being very rude. He was roughly handling my things. I had to step outside the apartment to continue speaking to her.At the end of this fiasco, the driver further displayed very questionable (ethics) behavior. I was reviewing the inventory list in order to sign it. He conveniently left my flat screen TV off of the inventory list! Before I paid, he said it would be an additional $40 for using a credit card. I said okay. Then, I went over to my counter to write this “new” information down. When he saw me writing, he said it is NOT an additional $40 and that it would just be the three percent surcharge. What brought on the sudden change in price??? Three weeks later when my stuff arrived in San Diego, why were things missing??? And why did Manchester Van Lines tell me that Annapolis Best Twins Movers “sold” them the job and that's why they were delivering it to me?! This took place WITHOUT my knowledge. The new movers delivered everything except my floor fan, one of my 3-shelf bookcases, and my desk. The 2-drawer file cabinet was damaged; it was so terribly dented that I had to pry open the drawers with the claw side of a hammer. I filed a claim and guess what amount they offered me? About twelve dollars! Be sure to get 100% insurance with these crooks.

Overprice without weight

they was late, take more than 12 hours for a single family 4 rooms, charge me $600.00 for wrap furniture, every thing was all ready in boxes separate fragile and regulars. they change my delivery day one week late, delivery was in hurry. after I gave them the list of my staff they price me $7,000.00 for everything after they finish packing they change me 3,300.00 because of the weigh of the truck goes up, how they know the exactly weigh? and how I can find $ 3300.00 extra cash at midnight when they are finish ? its unbelieves how price change so drastically. and now I have broken dishes, glasses, missing latters and more. I am not no recommends this company.

Straightforward move, missing items

I wanted to give this company a good review. I used them to move halfway across the country a couple of months ago. The day of the move, they showed up on time and with little fuss loaded the truck. Assured by the agent on the phone that there would be no surprise charges, I was disappointed when they charged 70.00 for wrapping my furniture with plastic wrap, because apparently that level of packing wasn't included. I was okay with that for the most part, though, because there were no more surprises. The pickup felt very rushed, and I was uncomfortable with how my furniture was being flipped around and moved, but it all made it intact. The delivery was at about 10:30 at night (and about 2-3 days later than expected), and was also rushed - the movers tried to leave a couple of items that were not mine (which makes me worried that they did the same with my items, too) and I was given no time before they left at about midnight to go through the items and make sure everything had arrived. Unfortunately, however, the company lost one of my boxes during the moving process. I was so rushed during the pickup and delivery that I didn't know that each of the tags on the boxes would identify each box individually according to lot and item number, and by the time I had unpacked everything and realized the mistake, I had already disposed of many of my boxes and thus had no idea which one was missing. In addition, when I contacted them about the missing box, I was informed that they were unable to find it and that I should begin the claims process. I followed up a few times, with what I think was a lot of patience, because I preferred to have my box (with a lot of nicer, work clothing in it that was expensive to replace). When I found a couple of the red tags and could give them a lot number and item range, they started looking for it again - I have trouble understanding how they could have given up looking before they even knew what they were looking for. It's been a couple of months now, and I haven't had any updates on the search, despite being told that they had searched the warehouse and called other clients that shared the truck with my items, and that there was one customer that hadn't yet unpacked. I'm giving them two stars because the pickup and delivery people were competent (though very rushed each time, which probably resulted in my lost box) and I didn't feel misled about pricing (for the most part). I'm disappointed with the followup on my missing box. I'm disappointed at the length of the claims process and the very, very limited reimbursement. I'm disappointed that my move, a relatively small one, was mishandled. The moving company's main job is to get all belongings from one place to the next, and they failed at that. They do accept credit cards for a deposit, but only cash on delivery (not certified checks, contrary to what you may be told, which also cost me another $20).

I would never use them again

I had damages done, tables broken, one piece of crystal broken, I had hardware lost off of one of my entertainment centers that my television goes in, I have a lamp that's broken, I have a pedestal mirror that they broke the leg that it stands on...The crew members themselves they were polite and moved very quickly but they still damaged those few items.....I thought the pricing was a little high. I certainly wouldn't recommend them and never use them again.
