I am the Owner of Hewes Family Movers. Could not figure out how to replay to these two ugly reviews so wanted to briefly address how we do business. We UNCONDITIONALLY GUARANTEE every move! No payment requested until we have completed your move AND HAVE MET OR EXCEEDED YOUR EXPECTATIONS. We hand you this guarantee in writing worded exactly as above. We come to your location to give you an estimate. We have remained small because we will only send out movers who we feel are awesome people who are concerned they deliver the best move they can. Every movers is a "real" W2 employee covered with workers comp. We also carry 2 million of general liability as well as $100,000 of insurance per vehicle for what we carry. We rarely may have a hick up but google us - you will see we take care of problems if given the chance.

High degree of UNPROFESSIONALISM and GOING BACK ON WORDS !! I read a lot of good reviews about Hewes movers and had a guy called Tyler come in for an on- site estimate for our move to Plano, Texas. After looking at the whole house, he wrote on his estimate sheet 1 truck- 3 men and roughly gave us an estimate of 2800. The next day, when we wait for a formal estimate, another guy Bill calls us and tells us that the estimate is a $6000 !!!! Me and my husband were shocked at the very sound of it and asked him to go back to his guy Tyler and ask him. Rather than trying to work the things out for us when we were given an estimate by their guy, they started escaping us and stopped answering calls. We tried calling again and now their new found reason to avoid us was that two trucks were needed and that Tyler was the guy for local estimates. . I WOULD SUGGEST TO NEVER GO WITH THIS KIND OF UNRELIABILITY AND LIES.I tried but somehow this post does not allow attachments but I swear to god that this is the truth which i just want to bring to the notice of everyone,so they don't get left in the lurch

bad job real bad job. they wanted 980 ...

first off the movers were on time, but they only had less then 30 boxs to load one bed to take apart and a living room set and two tv and a a few pics that needed to be wraped up, that did not happen, any other mover wold have had this job done within 3.5 to 4.5 hours, the time it took was over 8 hours, they broke the dresser and then said it was fixed, still looks bad, then one of the movers was on hos phone most of the time taking to hos gf or wife and drag out the hours by talking with the family member that was at the site, I had this same amount of a move and the cost was only 350 and then they were done in time and did a great job. but the one mover tried to do a good job but the motor mouth one stalled the job. then told the family member that they were going to wrap up the sofa and love seat all they had it was moving blanket, same for the pics and the flat sceen tvs.The bite was when he said the cost is now 980dollars, i told then I would give 650 due to the fact that I have not check all the boxs out to see what else is broken. but no way would i ever pay 980 for what was to be a 3.5 to 4.5 hour move. they stalled the job to stack up hours. and still did not wrap the sofa or love seat up, but said they would. and wrap up the vase's , I feel like even with the 650 i have been riped off and I will never use them again, even when i called they gave me a whole other price but then changed it up and draged out the job, if they could get rid of the motor mouth that kept taking and dragging out the job, and doing his job and not ask the members of the family he was moving about what type of work they did , the move would have been fast and on time.but they even left tool on the job, I am sure if a drug test was giving to one of them they would be a pos+++ on it. we didnt want to hear about his babay or his girlfriend or his wife or his car he was trying to buy, maybe thats why he took his time and rolled up the hours, I have tried to call bill but again no call back. if this was my business I would send a refund of two hundred dollars and fix what was broken.
