We hired this "moving company" in February 2022. They came in May to pickup our household. When we reached in Feb,we were given a "locked in quote" of $3606.64 total. However, when they finally came to deliver (after putting us off for weeks, and refusing to tell us where our stuff was),they held our belongings hostage. They demanded $8,500 in cash! We we told them we didn't keep that kind of cash handy, they demanded we cash app it. We don't use those apps either so they refused to unload unless we gave them 2 certified checks amounting to $8,500.00. We contacted the police who came, watched them destroy our stuff, then told the movers they had to leave us a receipt for any and all monies they collected. The receipt they left us was a contract we had never seen, with our signature forged on it (on multiple pages, which we've reported this to the FBI as well as the local police and the police in Alabama). Although the forged documents claim we agreed to pay $14,647.00,I guess we got off lucky having only paid the $11,500 (even though we agreed to pay only $3,606.64 total, paid an initial deposit of $3,000 upon pickup which should have left us owing only $606.64 upon delivery, but we are suing them now for the contract fraud and the difference between the quoted price and what we paid). Not only did they rob us blind financially, they also broke every piece of furniture we own (well, every piece they brought, but I'll get to that in a second). They crushed every single box. They looted boxes and clearly rifled through as many as they could prior to delivery. They also didn't deliver several high ticket items, including our safe, our box springs,a large screen plasma/smart TV,a chaise lounge,a professional ladder, and several other items. Finally,we filed a formal complaint with the FMCSA only to find out this company is not licensed for state to state moves. They,in fact, completely misrepresented themselves as movers when they are actually brokers. Neither are the movers who delivered it,whose company is called the Najjar Brothers out of Arlington,TX. The FMCSA are the one's who directed us to contact the FBI for federal fraud (because it was interstate and because of the amount of money they extorted from us). If you check their BBB page, they are not accredited and have an F rating (please don't confuse this company with the one in MA). They broke every agreement, every law and everything we owned. They ignored us after delivery and refused to address when our other items were coming, why they inflated the contracted price and when we could get their insurance information. We did end up going through our home owner's insurance who have taken on this battle with them legally. I would suggest people avoid this company at all costs.
