I have recently had a bad experience with a moving company in which they damaged my dryer. After attempts to resolve the solution through the BBB, the companys final response was that they were not going to give me my liability check because I filed a complaint with the BBB, and that this is a "state policy".

Hello, and thank you for visiting Movers.com!

I cannot advise you on Texas state law or policy, but I can tell you that I have never heard that filing a complaint with the BBB erases any liability.

The purpose of filing a complaint with the BBB is to mediate the situation and help to bring about a resolution. I would seek legal counsel to help you with this matter.

Good luck!
