I am very sorry to hear about your unpleasant experience with the moving company. Unfortunately, there are many unprofessional movers in the industry that use unethical business practices to scam and take advantage of their customers.
If you received an estimate in writing, the mover is l
egally only permitted to raise your bill by 10 percent. If you feel that your moving company has overcharged you, you can contact the FMCSA, Better Business Bureau, AMSA, office of the Attorney General, or other regulatory agency to
file a complaint against the mover.
