I have a 3 bedroom home that is 2038 sq ft. What is a typical count of items that would constitute that square ftg.

Hi and thank you for contacting Movers.com with your question.

The amount of items can vary. To determine cost with a moving company, they tend to charge by the weight of items (i.e. a piano will cost more to move than a blanket) or how long it will take to move.

Local moves
If you are moving locally, they usually will charge around $100 an hour for a two person moving crew. It may cost more if they are also packing and unpacking your items.

Long distance moves
If you are moving more than 100 miles, that is considered a long distance move. With long distance moves, the cost is determined by the weight. To help determine the moving estimate based on weight, you can use our cost calculator.

Whether you're moving locally or long distance, you can fill out this quote form to receive up to seven quotes from local moving companies.
