I wasn't happy with them at all.

I wasn't happy with them at all. When they delivered the furniture to my new home they just put the boxes everywhere in the house and I had them marked where I wanted them to go but they just dropped them wherever they wanted to, They also broke the cord on my desk. The cord that goes to my desk so I can't have power to my desk anymore. They broke my lateral file so that it doesn't close right anymore. I was just very unhappy with them.

We didn't have any problems.

Everything went smooth. We didn't have any problems. The price was very, very low. It was very cheap.

I don't know where to begin. My furniture was scratched badly. The pricing was steep. My mattresses were very expensive mattresses and they dragged them. They're filthy. That's uncalled for. You don't do those things people. I was very unhappy with our move.

They won't return my calls and left my ...

They forgot to take off the couch [off the inventory] which took off about 60 cubic feet and replaced it with smaller items for this huge couch. They tried to charge me $200 more. Plus I still haven't received my bed, they left it in NJ, I had to buy a new one because they won't return my calls.

It was good overall

Overall it was good. I didn't experience any problems with them. I did the packing, they weren't very involved in the packing, but the dispatching and delivery was good.

They didn't connect my washer and ...

They moved my washer and dryer and didn't hook it up correctly. My recliner, they tore apart the side, so I'm going to have to replace that, so.

Our only complaint is some things were ...

It started out really good and the guys were very quick, but when we unloaded ... We found some damage to some of our furniture even though they had shrink-wrapped it ... That's really the only complaint that we have.

Fairly traumatic experience.

They were six hours late and then they tried to run off with our stuff and it was not a good thing.

I have missing items and they ...

They scratched a table and the television. I'm also missing a remote control for my bed and the power cable for my television isn't here. I still have a couple boxes, but there's a couple things I'm looking for. Those things were packed when they came in to move the bedroom furniture and the power cord was attached to the TV and the remote was in a nightstand, and now it's nowhere to be found.

Horrible!

I had a very bad experience. It was horrible. ... I had such a bad experience. My move was simple, it's a house. ... They calculated for an hour and the guy they sent was so slow... Finally, I just let them go and they didn't finish moving me and I paid them $475.

They've missed a box of items worth ...

Experience was not expected as we wanted. We paid almost $2000 to move out things from Omaha to Atlanta. It's almost going to be a month, but some things have not been delivered. They missed our TV, and they have missed a box of items tat have a pressure cooker, blender .... and it was worth almost $600 to $700.

The movers were really slow.

I wouldn't recommend them for anything. The movers were really slow. They parked the truck all the way up the street instead of pulling in my driveway. They charged me an extra hour, which was $200 an hour.

Their communication could have been ...

They wanted to come a day early, so I met them a day early ... They were going to deliver everything on the 28th of August but they had some problems with their truck so they weren't actually able to deliver anything until the following Monday. And I'm still waiting on a bicycle that they didn't deliver with my other stuff.

They never showed up

It was a very bad experience. Ultimately they never showed up at the time, even on the day, that they said-the last day-it was a window to have our stuff delivered, they never showed up for pick up, and just getting information about the time that they were going to come pick our stuff up was like pulling teeth. We made multiple calls to agents, they weren't very helpful.

Nothing but respect for these guys

It’s only when you hire movers then you realize how hard of a job moving really is. The movers from Joy moving and storage were just unbelievably hard working. They showed up early on the moving day and got to work immediately. Their packing skills were seriously out of this world. Every single piece was packed so delicately. The moving process went without any issues. The delivery was made right on time and not one piece suffered any damage. Only then I realized how mind-blowing skilled and hard working the movers really were. I seriously respect them a lot.

Definitely not cheap, but does the job

Joy moving and storage had one of the highest quotes among the few companies I called. My sister kept telling me how good they are so I hired them anyway. Let’s face it, no moving is cheap. In the end, whether they can do the job properly or not is what really matters. They delivered each and every item of mine in the exact condition they took them. That is a mighty achievement. On top of that, they maintained their timings and the movers were very friendly. There was no hidden cost added to the final bill, which is a common practice for many moving companies. I highly recommend this moving company.

Really good and helpful.

They were really good. Very quick response they gave me a quote that was helpful. They were also on time. The only cause for concern was that they were coming really early in the morning, but they showed up a little late so I got situated.

They were quick and didn't damage ...

They were just picking up a piece of exercise equipment ... They managed to get it out ... Without hitting walls or tearing up the stairs. ...The did a beautiful job setting it up in my house, nothing damaged. All very quick. They moved very quickly which of course kept my rate down which I appreciated. So I will use them again if I need anything.

There was a misunderstanding with the ...

The move was all set up and they were very helpful initially. I think there was some misunderstanding - I wanted to pay with credit card and the movers, we agreed on certain payment terms, the actual truck driver, when he arrived with the items, he insisted on cash and kind of upset the whole payment term that was agreed upon. The main office wasn't able to figure it out in time and the driver had already left. It's just that it was not what we agreed upon with the company.

No better movers out there

We were leaving Dallas, TX and moving to a new apartment in Chicago, IL. We were quite crunched for cash. That’s why when Joy moving and storage gave an estimate that seemed too low to be true, we just hired them. It turned out to be the best decision we made during this move. The movers were absolutely fantastic. We own a huge couch and getting it out of our apartment could have been tricky. It was no big deal to the movers. They carried it like superman and maneuvered easily through the hallways. It was a brilliant performance from these guys. The delivery was made on time as well. I feel like Joy moving and storage gave us the best value for money.

I have never had a move go so well

Relocation is tough! Joy moving and storage takes on the responsibilities off my shoulders. I hired them to move my stuffs from Dallas, TX to Baltimore, MD. They were fantastic. They arrived on time and started packing everything. I was expecting issues here and there. But to my surprise, there were no issues whatsoever. Everything went so smoothly. They maneuvered through my narrow hallway and a tricky front door quite easily. The delivery was made on time and nothing was broken or damaged. I really couldn’t have had an easier move. I suggest everyone to hire these guys.

The were good, but some of my things ...

Aside from a couple of things missing, [it was] good. ...The price was fine. They actually were the lowest of the ones that I looked at. ...There were a few things that got scratched and dinged up.

I hired Joy moving and storage, frankly because of their reputation. My friends who have used them before have given me amazing reviews for them. Now I certainly understand why. Not only their quote was reasonable, their movers arrived very much on time, equipped with all the right things. They were very swift and efficient at their jobs. My move from Dallas to San Francisco went absolutely easily because of these guys.

Cool

I hired Joy moving and storage for relocating from TX to AZ. It was a very wise decision. I never saw any mover gives this much dedication. They brought everything that is needed for relocation so that everything goes perfectly and it went so. Nothing was broken or lost. And it was done at my old place within the mentioned time. The rest of the works was done in same manner. The early work led to let me pay a lesser bill. That was cool. Loved these guys.

The movers were quick but precise. It ...

It was good. All the guys helped out with everything. I literally did little to nothing so they helped a lot in everything and the experience was good and they were quick but precise. So, it was awesome.

Company from Hell!

They're the company from Hell, and I would never call them again! And I advise anyone hearing my voice not to use them!

Dependable

I won’t write too much. I think you have already got an idea about their service by reading other reviews. I would just mention one thing; avoiding errors and problems in service needs skill and dedication. Joy moving and storage has both of that. I took their service last month and it was my second time dealing with them. As usual it was a good experience. Keep up the good work, Joy moving and storage.

The movers were friendly and finished ...

Everything was up to par. They were good. ...They were on time, they were very friendly, got everything done in a timely fashion.

Best movers! Raphael is professional and reliable. Joseph and his guys were excellent, punctual, and careful with my move. They made it super easy to move huge furniture. They even wrapped the whole thing up making sure it moved safely and without damage. Thank a lot Joy moving and storage! I would highly recommend them and I will use them again.

The communcation and the packing was ...

They were on time. They took pretty good care of our stuff. ...We had a buffet that goes in the kitchen ... But they just came in and wrapped it up and threw it on the truck and they didn't make sure that the shelves inside the cabinet were secure. It got a little banged up. ...When I made the appointment with them I told them that the main reason I was getting movers was because I had a brand new refrigerator ... And that I did not feel comfortable moving it myself ... They were gonna have to take the doors off so I wanted some professionals for that. And he's like, "Oh yeah, no problem. We'll take care of it." When it got time to take the refrigerator into the house, neither one of the movers had any idea that that was happening, they had no idea how to do it, they had no tools to get it done. So I basically had to do all of that myself ... The whole point of hiring them in the first place was so I would not have to do that. I ended up paying a couple hundred bucks for something I ended up having to do anyway. So there was no communication there. ...I probably would not use them again because of that. But aside from those two things everything was great. They got stuff where I wanted it, they were nice, professional. No issues there.
