I deeply wish I had read reviews for this company before using them for an out of state move from AL to FL. 0 stars is more appropriate. We booked through US Moving and they assigned this company to do the actual move. Extortion and wildly unprofessional are the only terms I can use to describe this experience. The initial quote in which I detailed every item with dimension room by room that we planned to take was about $3k. I thought it was getting a fantastic deal. Absolutely not. The representative called back a few days before to do a final check list suddenly, with less items than the initial inventory it's over $3k more than the original quote. Then comes the day of the actual move, our tine window was Saturday-Sunday. the movers arrive after 5 pm Sunday and advise that they can only work 1 hour and will return the next day to finish. I had to leave to return to work in FL so my husband stayed at the house. The next morning they arrive around 8 and immediately state that we have too many cubic ft inventory (i had even removed even more large items that were included the 2nd quote that we decided to donate instead of move) and it will be thousands more to load it and that everything wouldn't fit in their truck. They charge a very high price for "long haul" because they were unable to park in our driveway. A fact I informed the first representative of during the initial phone call. They added extra 2100 in costs and began berating my husband and then me over the phone about receiving the payment before the truck can leave. By this time, it's 5:30 pm and the banks are closed. They require the pick up payment in cash and we did not have extras of thousands of dollars laying around. I finally came to an agreement with their supervisor after being talked down to by him and he allowed a check to be written this time and this time only. They leave and it takes my husband 2 trips to bring the remaining items that he could fit in his Truck to FL. Fast forward to near our delivery date, I contact them via email on a Friday before our scheduled delivery of Sunday to let the company know that the completion of the closing had gotten pushed back to sometime Monday. Sunday afternoon we receive a call from the supervisor stating that they would be delivering our items at 9 am on Monday. I explain that will not work as we will not have keys or the money from closing to pay the remainder. The supervisor loses it on my and begins to yell and berate me that it's not his problem it's my problem, his guys have already loaded up the truck, and we "will owe thousands of dollars more" for them to put it back in storage if we did not have their money by 12:01 pm that Monday. He stated this repeatedly and advised that he's running a business here. Seems to me the better business model would be to call and confirm the delivery time before loading the truck... Over quoted move at the last minute. Very rude manager. Furniture came 2 weeks late. Missing 2 boxes one with a brand new crock-pot airfryer combo. Damaged furniture dresser and TV stand. Most of furniture was unwrapped and thrown inside moving truck on top of each other. Fragile Boxes dented and lots of expensive glass items smashed. Claim department not responding to emails. Very bad customer service. Unreliable movers. I would not recommend.
